ASUU as a trade union under the laws of Nigeria is also expected to know that Section 4 of the Trade Union Act states that “No person shall subject any other person to any form of constraint or restriction in the course of persuasion
ASUU as a union should know that FG has laws it can use against it. I really don't know their problems.

Nigerian government is insincere.
Where is social distancing here.
All other sectors of the economy are active only the educational sector have gone into oblivion.
Markets are opening
Banks are opening
Farmers with their kids are on the farm
Clubs are opening
Churches are opening
Mosques are opening
Are children not in the markets helping their parents?
Don't they accompany their parents to banks?
Don't they go to farm with their parents?
Don't they go for birthday party?
Don't they go for church services. Research showed it that children are much in Church than grown-ups.
Don't they go to mosque and Koranic school?
We don't value education in this part of the world.
What can we say of this?
I pity our KIDS

Family / Re: I Can't Speak My Native Language. Is It A Crime? by olawalepopoola: 1:02pm On Jul 05, 2020
I am more interested in this topic.
A family friend called my wife last week and spoke with her. Fortunately our first son was there, so he felt like talking to him. My wife handed the phone to the boy and he conversed with the person in Yoruba language. He did this because I had made a decree in my home that only Yoruba Language should be spoken while he is at home. He can speak English language outside if he likes.
I told my wife that our culture is our life. Why must we lose our language to the white after losing our economy to them?
This is a call to all parents especially those in this millennia.
If we are not careful our children will only know if Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Kanuri, Igbira and other indigenous languages existed in the museum and in books.
Let us demand that our children learn their indigenous languages. Speaking these languages isn't a crime but pride. You are not inferior if you know them.

Family / Re: Are Illegimate Child Considered Legitimate Even After The Parents Latter Married by olawalepopoola: 8:25am On Jul 03, 2020
No child is illegitimate.
If the child becomes the world richest, will his father call him 'illegimate'.
My advice to all so called 'illegimate' children is 'work hard, believe in God and achieve greatness in life'. When you do these all those calling you illegitimate will how before you.

Education / Re: Why I Abandoned My PHD Programme by olawalepopoola: 6:00pm On Jun 24, 2020
The only issue I have with my PhD program are the administrative staff.
When it comes to having good supervisors since my undergraduate days, I have been the number one in having excellent and understanding supervisors.
As a part time PhD student in Geology awaiting my final viva voce in a State University in Nigeria, my supervisor ensured that I had my proposal, progress and final Departmental, faculty and final University defense within four years.
Although I agree that some supervisors are really lazy to help their students, many students also sluggishly delay themselves.
However, other factors like lack of research grants and good laboratories are major causes of delay.
I want to urge us to push on and achieve our dreams even if it means dropping it in Nigeria and travel out to achieve it.
God bless our hustlings

AnambraIstSon:

We are not arguing. It is common knowledge that Yoruba are far ahead of us. Don't mind my people they just make a lot of noise & are very emotional.

If Yoruba send us out of Lagos and the entire West na how we go survive seeing our lands are gully or do we go back to our cannibal culture where human parts, especially knuckles, formed a part of out diet. When AYCF gave us the ultimatum to leave the North, all of us just dey piss for body & our elders come begin run all over the place dey beg Ndi Hausa that we usually consider to be lesser than us.

We know our East is rubbish. None of my people here can mention any legacy of Azikiwe in Anambra only not the whole SE o. Nor mind my people abeg make Yoruba nor pursue us cry
God bless. The omoluabis will give you a political position in our region.
You know Yoruba don't marginalize.
Remember Desmond Elliot and Joe Igbokwe
