GENESIS 3
Prayer: As we go through today reading, God Almighty himself will teach us His word. Amen

Caution: On this platform, money is not our priority but the preaching the word as mandated by the great commission given by Jesus Christ.

Initial action: Read the whole book of Genesis chapter 3

Essential points

Genesis 3vs1-3: The Bible described one of the major characteristic of the devil. The devil is subtle. This means that he is cunny. He has a way of maneuvering humans to antagonize God. He has a way of getting information that is needed to attack anyone. The devil can disguise and come in any form. The serpent in this context represents the devil also known as Lucifer. He asked the woman if God had instructed them not to eat of the fruits in the garden. He was looking for a loophole to attack and destroy the woman. Unaware of the tricks of the devil, the woman revealed the instructions of God for them. The woman never consulted her husband nor God in making this decision.
As a Christian, we must always consult God for instructions, even if we are been offered a juicy opportunity which may lead to both physical and spiritual death. Children of God must be aware of his tactics. The devil knows that God had specially made man with Glory and honour. He knew God have given man power to dominate in his sphere of influence. He knew that man already had authority over all that God created, including. That is why he is out to destroy man at all cost to regain his domain.
Genesis 3vs4-5: Another attribute of the devil is that he antagonizes God anytime he has the opportunity. He tells man that God never liked him. He tells him that God does not want the best for him. However, God loved man very well and that was why he created him specially. The devil also persuades to get his way.
Genesis 3vs6: The women fell for the antics of the devil. She ate of the forbidden fruits. In our contemporary world, the devil presents many things that contradicts the will of God for man. He presents them as even they were good for man. The devil knew that if she can get hold of the woman, he would eventually get the man, because they are one. It could have been vice-versa. This is a major reason why married couples should entreat God and ask for wisdom. A mistake from either of the spouse may lead to danger.
Genesis 3vs7-10: Man fell and lost his authority and dominion to the devil. This is why the kingdom of darkness still dominates till today especially in the lives of those that have not accepted Christ as the Lord and savior. They were naked. They knew that they were nothing but mere clay. They knew that they are powerless and have been ridiculed by the devil. They had to cover their shame. Many Christians today are still cover their shame, they still cover their sins. Many still believed that God’s know their sins. The devil still encourage many to lose their authority and power. Man’s fellowship with God had been destroyed. He cannot commune with his creator. The devil made use of this opportunity and put man in perpetual subjugation.
Genesis 3vs11-20: Man couldn’t approach God again. He hid himself from his maker. God knew man have eaten of the forbidden fruit. He placed a curse on man and the devil for doing such an evil thing. Anyone still involved in evil acts is under the curse of the most high God. Sin bring curse, pain and struggle to the generation of Adam and Eve. Anyone born of a man still share this course. But thank God, he already planned the salvation of man at this point. He foretold the coming of Jesus Christ in flesh. He put enmity between the seed of the woman (Jesus Christ through David) and Satan. Jesus Christ was born to destroy the work of the devil. Anyone who do not surrender their lives to Christ will continually be fired the devil. The love of the world is the hatred of God. Choose where you belong today. Tomorrow may be late.
Genesis 3vs21-22: Despite of his sin, God still loves man. He clothed with coats of skins and removed the fig tree. God still love sinners and that is why he daily calls us to repentance. God was grieved that he lost fellowship with man. Because he still loves him, God devised a means to bring man back to himself through Jesus Christ his only begotten son. (John 3:16). Because of his love for man, he had to send them of the garden of Eden. Man in his fallen state would have eaten from the tree of live and forever live in condemnation, if God had not driven out. All hope would had been lost if God had not done this. God protected the tree of life with fiery Cherubims because of his love.
Genesis 2vs16-17: God gave man specific instructions to follow. He clearly made it clear that must not eat out of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The day they eat, they shall die. God through is omniscience character, knew that the devil will attempt to bring down man through his rebellious act. He knew the consequence of man subjecting to the threat of the devil. This was why he sternly commanded him not to eat from this tree. He knew that why this happen, man will lose his fellowship with God. As children of God, we must follow the specific instruction given by Him. This is essential to ensure our continual fellowship with God.
CALL TO REPENTANCE

GOD STILL LOVES AS HIS CREATURE, HE WANTS TO HAVE MORE FELLOWSHIP WITH YOU. HE WANTS TO RESTORE THE AUTHORITY, POWER AND DOMINION YOUR ANCESTRAL PARENTS LOST BECAUSE OF SIN. HE IS CALLING YOU TO REPENTANCE. HE DOES NOT WANT YOU TO LIVE IN PERPETUAL CONDEMNATION.

PRAYERS

Father I thank you for my salvation in Jesus Christ. Thank you for saving me and setting me free from the bondage of sins.
Father I reclaim my authority and dominion back from the devil Jesus Name
Father, by your grace and mercy, I refuse to surrender myself to the antics of the devil in Jesus Name.
Father, let my fellowship with you grow day by day in Jesus Name.
SEE YOU TOMORROW FOR ANOTHER EDITION OF THE INTERACTION WITH THE BIBLE. GOD BLESS YOU.

Genesis chapter 2
Prayer: As we go through today reading, God Almighty himself will teach us His word. Amen

Caution: On this platform, money is not our priority but the preaching the word as mandated by the great commission given by Jesus Christ.

Initial action: Read the whole book of Genesis chapter 2

Essential points

Genesis 2vs1: Our God is not a lazy God. He worked hard until he achieve his dream. The dream of creating a beautiful world. One lesson that we can learn here is that, it is important to work hard. Laziness is not an option in the plan of God. A child of God cannot afford to be lazy.
Genesis 2vs2: After a hard labor, God rested from his work. Christian must find time to rest. Also, children of God must prepare for the final rest in Heaven. Heaven is our main goal, and we must labor to enter into that rest.
Genesis 2vs3: God honored the seventh day, which is also known as the Sabbath day. He also want us to honor the Sabbath (which today known as Sunday in Christendom). On this day, we must have an intimate relationship with God.
Genesis 2vs7: Man was formed from dust. This is revealed that man is nothing. The breath of life from God made him a living soul. Without the spirit of God, man is nothing. Man came forth from the ground, and unto the ground he shall return. This means that as a child of God, we cannot joke with the spirit of God. Without the spirit of God, man cannot become successful in life. You must surrender yourself to the Almighty. It is only by the grace of God that you can become successful in life.
Genesis 2vs8-11: God put man in charge of all that created. He gave man authority and power. He gave man total right over all he created. As a child of God, he has given us authority over all his creation. God provided everything needed for life to be comfortable for man. God did not create man to suffer. He created him to enjoy life. Every natural resources to . life easy for man, was created by God.
Genesis 2vs15: God gave man his mission statement. He commanded man to dress and keep the garden. To dress the garden in this context is that man should invent everything that will beautify the world. God also gave man the authority to keep the garden. This implied that man must ensure that the garden of God must kept clean and beautify. God gave man the mandate to work. Once again, children of God must not be lazy. This is not the mandate of God for your lives. Working for God can extend to working for him in the church. Many Christians still find it difficult to work in the church of God. Some are so proud to work for God and never knew that they weren’t fulfilling the mandate of God for their lives.
Genesis 2vs18-25: God gave the man a help meet and not a servant. Wives are meant to complement their husbands and not to be treated as slaves (verse 18). Man was further given power to give the animals God created names. God gave man right to his authority. He would have chosen to give them names himself, but he chose to relegate that power to him (verse 19). None of the animals were fit to be of help to man, because they don’t share similar characteristics with man (verse 20). To find a suitable helper for man, God brought forth the woman from the rib of man (verse 22). Adam found a wife and helpmate. A woman is taken from man. She was specially made for man from his body. For this reason, a woman should submit to their husbands in everything. The woman is from the bone and flesh of a man. Therefore, the woman is subjected to her husband all through our lives. This is a major problem being faced in this generation, where a wife believes she has an equal right with her husband. This is the reason for many broken homes. The wife believes she is more educated, richer and exposed than the husband, thinks she can’t subject to her husband. Wives must subject to her husband. Man shall also separate himself from his father and mother and must be closer only to his wife, because they are one flesh. As a person cares for his body and ensures that nothing bad happens to it, a man must take care of his wife in all sense of the word.
Thanks for reading.

Genesis chapter 1
You are welcome to my blog. Our aim is to proclaim the word of God to the whole universe as mandated by the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ, the saviour of the world. We shall daily look and interact on a chapter in the Bible. I pray that the Holy Spirit himself will inspire us to learn from his feet.

Essential points

Prayer: As we go through today reading, God Almighty himself will teach us His word. Amen

Caution: On this platform, money is not our priority but the preaching the word as mandated by the great commission given by Jesus Christ.

Initial action: Read the whole book of Genesis chapter 1

Introduction to the book of Genesis

The word genesis means ‘beginning’. It is the first book in the Bible that gave us an insight into how the world was created, God’s purpose for man, the fall of man, the call of Abraham, the promise of Isaac and other interesting stories. This book is believed to have been compiled by Moses, a prophet, leader and a friend of God

Essential points

This chapter tell us that our God has a plan even before creating the world. He had a plan of how the earth would look like. He had the plan of how he was going to make everything beautiful.
It is logical to say that God had existed before the earth. It is also wise to say He had been in position even before other creatures were formed.
No one can explain the origin of God. Everyday new discoveries showing the greatness of God even outside our galaxy is being made.
Genesis chapter 1 makes it clear that God existed before all that we see and know. He existed before Lucifer (also known as the devil) and other angels, because He created them all for His worship and beauty.
When the earth was created, it was in disarray. It was disorganized. The earth has no shape and bearing. It was filled with darkness. Lucifer and other fallen angels were dominating this sphere. They were terrorizing it. They were subduing it.
A life full of darkness will ultimately be controlled by the devil. Such life will never amount to anything good.
In the darkness, God saw light. He saw beauty. He saw orderliness. And then, He sent forth His spirit (Genesis 1:2) which was moving above the waters, waiting for the command to be executed. The spirit of God was waiting to expel the forces of darkness
And then God commanded that there should be light and it happened instantly. The light was the first essential ingredients of creation, because it expelled darkness. Light brings joy and happiness but darkness brings suffering.
When God commands, it is done.
This light is no other one else than Jesus Christ, the son of God (Read the book of John chapter 1). For darkness to leave you, you must surrender to the authority of Jesus Christ, who is the light that comes from God. He gave each part of the day its own light.
After the light, everything fell in place. The waters were separated (Genesis 1:7) and the dry land appeared (Genesis 1:10). God has created everything needed for life to thrive on earth: light, water and land. Photosynthetic process was initiated. By his word, plants began to flourish in their kinds (Genesis 1:12). Food for the “to be created ” creature is in place.
God created all kinds of animals (Genesis 1:20-21). He was pleased and happy with all his creatures. God blessed the animals (Genesis 1:22). He gave power and right to be fruitful and multiply. He dis not give them dominion and sovereignty. God was pleased with all he created.
God saw that a gap existed. Who would take care of the things he made. To fill this gap, he created man (Genesis 1:27). Man in this context is an embodiment of both male and female. Science has proved this fact, that a single man has both the X (male) and Y (female) chromosomes. This makes him a progenitor. Both male and female originated from man. God created man (both man and woman) in his own image and likeness. No other creatures look like God as man. Man is a demi-god.
As with other creatures, God blessed man and gave him what I called “His mission statement” (Genesis 1:28). God commanded man to be fruitful, multiply, replenish and subdue the earth. He gave man dominion over everything he created on earth. He gave man food and meat. Is not our God perfect and good (Genesis 1:29). He also gave all animals what they needed to survival (Genesis 1:30). Behold everything God created is perfect.

Religion / Genesis Chapter 4 by olawalepopoola: 7:45am On Jan 04, 2021
Prayer: As we go through today reading, God Almighty himself will teach us His word. Amen

Caution: On this platform, money is not our priority but the preaching the word as mandated by the great commission given by Jesus Christ.

Initial action: Read the whole book of Genesis chapter 4

Essential points

Genesis 4vs1: We learnt in the previous chapter that God sent away Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden after they committed sins. However, God still have the human race in mind. Because He loves man so much, He gave them the opportunity to procreate. Adam and Eve brought forth their first child called Cain. Eve knew it was God that gave her the son. Parents should recognize that it is God that gave them children and must direct the children in the path of the creator.
Genesis 4vs2: And again, God was gracious to Adam and Eve. He gave them their second son named Abel. While Cain tilled the land, Abel reared sheep. One important lesson is that, as Christian parents, we must imbibe in our children the virtue of hard work. God is delighted when His children are involved in legitimate work. Laziness in any form is not an option for God, because He himself was not lazy. Both brothers have their callings. Every child given to us by God have their specific callings paths. Parents should ensure that the mentor their children in a Godly manner, to ensure they know their paths in life. Never enforce a child to do what is against the calling of God for his or her life.
Genesis 4vs3-4: Both brothers are successful in their various callings and deem it fit to bring an offering to God, to appreciate Him for all He had been doing for them. Notice that it was not God that compelled them to do so, they did it willingly. As Christians, the major lesson we can learn here is thanking God for His faithfulness must never be a compulsion. It must be out of a willingly heart. Never be pushed to appreciate God. Another lesson we can learn from here is that we must give God our best offering. The Bible in this verse revealed that Cain brought a fruit and not fruits. He probably gave a leftover fruit that is not even pleasing to man’s eyes. God rejected his offering because it was not given with a good intention. His heart was not in consonance with the offering. However, Abel gave God the best of offering, the best of his flock. He gave Him the first born of all his cattle. This means that if Abel had had 50 sheep in his cattle, and all gave birth to at least a sheep at almost the same season, he would have presented 50 firstlings into God. He gave God the first increase he had. Many Christians today don’t give God the best offering. God accepted Abel’s offering. Many believed that it is the priests or pastors that consume their offering, so they give grudgingly. They say in their heart that “let me just give so that people won’t say I don’t pay my offering”. They forget that God sees human heart. Your heart must be in tune with your offering to God. If you give God grudgingly, you will reap grudgingly. If give you give bountifully, you shall reap bountifully. Let me add this, many while giving their offerings, don’t appreciate God with songs and dancing. They feel too big to dance before God. Dancing before God does not make you inferior, rather it shows that you are humble and appreciate Him for all he has done for you.
Genesis 4vs5-7: Because God rejected his offering, Cain became bitter and jealous of Abel whose offering was accepted by God. Jealousy is a sin that comes before death. Jealousy of another man’s gift can lead to bad intentions. Instead of been jealous of a person success, it is better to walk up to them and ask them how they made it. If Cain had asked his brother behind his acceptable offering, his offering would have become accepted later. As Christians, we must run away from jealousy. God will help us in Jesus Name.

MIT funding for Faculty members in Africa

MISTI Global Seed Funds grant program promotes and supports early-stage collaborations between MIT researchers and their counterparts around the globe. Many of the joint projects funded lead to additional grant awards and the development of valuable long-term relationships between international researchers and MIT faculty and students.

The General Fund is open to projects in any country. Through an annual call for proposals, the fund primarily supports travel costs for exchange between a team at MIT and colleagues abroad.

The international colleague(s) must be identified in the proposal.
The maximum award is $30,000.

Priority will be given to projects that:
----propose a balanced exchange between the MIT and international participants
----demonstrate complementarity between the MIT and international teams
----involve undergraduate and graduate students
How do African scholars get this opportunity

The most important thing is to follow international best practices in research. I am rounding up my PhD (if not for ASUU strike) very soon and I am already getting opportunities for postdoc in China and South Africa.

Glorified secondary ranked among top 600 universities. Can you tell us the ranking of your University? Do you think it is easy to get to that enviable heights. Ask University of Ibadan and they will tell you

Coming of Jesus is upon you, not me. I don’t know why Jesus needs so much advert. How many times have you seen Muslims advertising Prophet Muhammed (SAW) all over the place like groundnut?
Jesus Christ told us to tell people about His coming. He is coming and nothing can stop that. He will judge all people including Mohammed himself.

Education / ASUU Strike: My Kids Will Not Attend Public Universities In Nigeria by olawalepopoola: 8:10am On Nov 05, 2020

ASUU have always claimed to work in the interest of Nigerian students in public universities while their counterparts in private Universities are running their program smoothly without any hitches. While many freshmen in public Universities are still waiting to writing their first semester examination, many of their friends in private varsities are almost in the middle of the first semester in their second session. Whether we like it or not the discriminations between private and public universities are gradually fading by the day. Private universities graduate are employed in both the public and private sectors of our economy. They get international scholarship and grants too. So what is the big deal about the public universities? Why do ASUU drag the students progress so much?
I have contemplated so much on this ASUU strike and I have concluded that even in the next 20 years ASUU can never change its tactics of engaging the government over issues no matter how Nigeria try to please them. I have concluded that all my children will attend private schools from primary to university level and even for postgraduate studies for those who wish to pursue it in Nigeria (for any of them who wish to go for it). If possible I will find international scholarships for their undergraduate and postgraduate studies around the world.
I can't allow ASUU destroy the destiny of my kids all in the name of fighting for them. May God bless my hustlings to do this. Amen.

Education / Ondo State Government Has Refused To Open Schools by olawalepopoola: 3:33pm On Oct 14, 2020
It is no more news that 35 of the 36 states of the Federation including the FCT have opened the doors of academic institutions for students to resume after the COVID-19 pandemic that hit the country in March. However, Ondo state headed by Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN) have strongly refuse reopening of schools in the state. This include all public and private primary, post-primary and tertiary institution in the state.
People of Ondo state should put pressure on the state to open this school because it is really affecting the students.
Is voting Akeredolu a mistake? Is he on a revenge mission? That is the question on the mouth of people in Ondo State.
