Business / Re: Dollar Rise: EFCC Continues Crackdown On Cryptocurrency Platforms, Others by olaxm: 9:09am On Apr 22
I don't understand the people who run the affair of this country at various sector. It seem they just sit in the office and do nothing to research things from reality perspective.

P2P exchange and BDC exchange are same thing. When you take your dollar or naira to aboki/bank for buy and sell. It is exchange done in person via pair to pairs/OTC.

Now crypto has allow this to be done digitally with Escrow service, thereby instead of going to aboki or Bank you can easily sit at home and do BDC exchange via digital P2P.

I think those big aboki that operete BDC has come to wise up to the usage of digital P2P via Crypto exchange which they now use to manipulate naira.
This guy has liquidity, so they can do anything.

What our government need to do is to allow nigerian startup company in Crypto and regulate them closely.

Crypto P2P exchange is present digital reality that nothing can stop.

Some of you doesn't know jack about crypto but keep spewing rubbish.

Blockchain crypto that give birth to bitcoin wasn't originally design to exchange on Central exchange (CEN) so it not a suprised to seeing CEN being attack by GOVERNMENT thereby leading to shutdown of these exchange. Infact CEN are prone to Crypto hack and several has happen in the past. Crypto was designed to exchange on descentrilize exchange (DEX) which allow you and I to trade without central authority. DEX is yet to be popular like CEN, so until DEX become mainstream CEN is going to be subject to regulation buruhha.

Nairaland peeps no dey disappoint. How can a sane person think it can stop P2P exchange of good and service that is power by Escrow. If you stop Binance that act as Escrow. Another escrow will rise. Their eyes gon soon clear By the time oga patata of escrow which is DEX start. The world is going Defi thru blockchain and these people are so blind to see.

P2P is bigger than Binance or any exchange. World governments are just afraid of the freedom that comes with decentralised money.
Hello Bro,

Everything you said was on point.. We learned about blockchain crypto stuff from google. This one who ask questions is one of gullible people who carry smart phone around and can't update his brain thru Google.
Abeg, is there's a way I can get to contact you. I need ur guide on airdrops. I have never taken airdrop serious since I have been into crypto. Please bro let get connected. Thanks

EponObi:
Crypto has benefited Nigerian citizens more the government has ever done for them.

I won't go much into detail because from my observation, ignorant people are too much on this platform and because they don't understand crypto, they've resorted to calling it all sort of terrible names.

Stick with your 50k per month jobs, stick with your freelancing job, let crypto Bois and gals stick with their own. In the next 3 years, we shall which group attains financial freedom.

Edit: Ok, since this is on the front page, I will elaborate more.

Aside the speculations, the tech (Blockchain) is the next best revolution after the internet. If you are sleeping, start researching Blockchain and AI: these two will lead the next industrial revolution. If you snooze, you might end up relying on obsolete jobs and careers in the next decade. I won't say more than that.

Now to speculations: to the outsiders, crypto boi and gals are brokies. Lol. A lot is happening now in crypto that you won't hear about until late next year. That's when dumb money (probably you) will come into crypto to fuel the mass hysteria that will lead to the next bubble, just like in 2018 and 2022. What crypto dudes won't share with you is that there's a new trend (not so new) of airdrop. What this means is people have been receiving a bunch of free money (called airdrops) just by using and testing Blockchain protocols. I've seen people get up to $3k for testing Zetachain; $5k on Tia Protocol, $5k for testing Arbitrium chain, this is just a few I will mention. This year alone, there has been a minimum of 10 projects that did airdrop. The average Nigeria doesn't even earn $1k per year. It's why I said many of you are ignorant.

*** Another Add (timestamp: 12:10pm): What you ignoramuses don't also understand is that the typical crypto guy is not broke (in the long run). Linea (a crypto company) is currently doing a campaign. More than 500k people worldwide are engaging and I'm 100% certain more than 20k Nigerians are among. By the end of the campaign, one person would have spent $200 for gas payments and shit to test their Blockchain. How many of you fuols can literally set #300k on fire to bet on a life changing outcome? How many of you have the balls to engage, with no explicit agreement that Linea will reward campaign participants? Today is 22nd of Feb, 2024. If or when Linea do their airdrop, I will come back to update how much an average participant got. ***

Airdrop aside, we've seen many token pull 10-100x since Jan 2023. I can count 20 tokens like that off hand. There's a crypto project that's coming mainstream soon called World Coin, founded by by Sam Altman (founder of OpenAI , ChatGPT): that coin moved from $2 to $8 this year along. Mind you, I already told you the mass hysteria is happening late next year. That means for the next 1.5 years, crypto boi and gals (those you qualify as inconsequential, broke, gamblers, unserious) will hunt and earn airdrops and flip alt coins for 10-1000x (even more - depending on individual skill sets).

By 2026, a lot of them will japa to enjoy life (not to become wage slaves), many of them will start businesses - they will inject fuel into our economy, build houses, buys cars, enjoy the goodies of life) while you the serious ones will still be dragging with your low pay jobs.

I'm sorry if my writing offends anyone. But the truth has to be said.

The thing is many of you just go through life like zombies without an iota of idea where the world is heading. The universe has handed all you need to excel in life on a platter but many of you are still snoozing. It's why you see content creators buy cars and you term them as yahoo, forgetting content is the crude oil of the new age.

PS: don't quote me to ask for how to start crypto and shit. I don't have the time. The internet is there for you to use. And most importantly, everything I wrote here is not financial advice.

Shout out to my kings and queens on CTNG. You guys are killing it and are making the Nation proud. 2025 - Joy is coming!!!

New Add: this year, Blackrock got their Bitcoin ETF approved. I see some ignoramus saying crypto has no intrinsic value. Mumus. I guess you know better than Blackrock - a wealth manager with more than $10 trillion AUM. Lmaooooo.

Gold ETF was approved in 2004, Bitcoin ETF got approved in 2024. Lol. I can't wait for Jan 2026.

Romance / Re: Life Is Meaningless. We Are Just Wasting Our Time Here. by olaxm: 12:22pm On Oct 18, 2023
What is sin. An immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law. That is how sin is define by google.

Let me bring sin definition to the level you can relate to. Sin is simply your Act - Art -Earth without God. (Act - Art - Earth) sound very similar, if you're not used to vovel pronounciation.

According to Willie Jackson : Act is one piece.
Art is apply and mastering multi act. Learning the act might take you a day or a week. Learning the art is what takes the 10,000 hours.

Let me illustrate further.

Act = Do

Art = Past/Present/Future Do

Earth= Do Center

Life = Divine Power for Act - Art -Earth.

God is Life according to John 1 vs 4. God breathed life to a lifeless image called Adam. Adam power by God become a life entity that is created to do (act/art) on the earth. Gen 2 vs 7.

Gen 2 vs 18. God still do extra in perfection
for Adam by given same life he gave adam to animals and tell Adam to have deminion over them for the bliss in enternity.

Thereafter, Adam do (Act/Art) with the animals, BUT, still God know Adam wasn't pleased by the Act/Art Adam had with animals. God decided to bring another Adam from inside Adam!!. He himself confirmed from the Act/Art with Eve to God that God perfected everything by bring Eve to join him for Act/Art inside earth.

Gen 3. Adam and Eve did some wrong Act/Art that made them experience pains in the presence of God who empower them to life!. That why the bible say the wage of sin is death. God outlined pains they'll experience without him in Gen 3 vs 16 and 17. But, the overall consequences of Adam (ACT/ART) that come from pains was in last sentence Gen 3 vs 19. For you're dust and to dust to shall return. (Remember Adam was bring up from dust). No matter how hard you tried to stop human kids, they will always want to play with dust. I'm sure you hate doing that as an human adult and Imagine it again like on the principal that your parent may do something wrong before you're given birth to, which may result in pains for you.

What transpired between the creator of the Earth and Adam is actually unknown in perfect picture. So, since then and after then, We are all born by act/art of sin to die just like Adam and Eve and that why We all need Christ to be re-born again by God Spirit.

I pray God let you encounter Christ to ease your pains on the earth and re-enlist you for what Christ say to Nicodemus in John 3 vs 5.
Family / Re: My Wife Complains When I Touch Her by olaxm: 2:33pm On Oct 17, 2023
You have entered serious problem.
If you a good Christian, you will ask her for you guys to submit yourselves to a marriage counsellor, not church oooo

Show her you really care about her becoming better, if it doesn't work out, baba na serious church counselling, and break up oooooo

It may not be that, she has another person, sometimes women do a lot of changes, psychologically mostly when they know that they are the only option.

Anyways biblically if she denies you sex, as a lifestyle she is not more your wife, you Christians need to stop allowing people use verses to abuse and kill you

Christian will always quote Scripture standards and neglecting Nature standard. The whole scripture of the bible point to two summary.

1. Glory of God.
2. Salvation to the Mankind.

Human experience from the bad and the good is still the glory of God. God created both the Good and the Bad. Scripture describe many bad experience and good experience that never affected God. Paul scripture context in Romans 9. What Paul is saying is that God is perfectly just to choose some for salvation and not to choose others. He does not owe salvation to anyone. “

The believe and accepting Christ is the requirements for Mercy of God to spritual eternity which can only happens in God kingdom. Just exactly what lefthand thief did on the cross.

So live your natural life and always seek God mercy and forgiveness for sin. God already forgive Mankind sin through Christ. The sin Adam committed. The one you'd personally committed yesterday and the one you'll commit tomorrow.

We can't never live holy holy pass those who failed in the scripture and still experience bad death. The work of law doesn't guarantee God salvation. We will always flee from sin with God love in heart.. But, sin will surely be committed when nature demand something from us.

It a known facts that the government over pay PMS nigerian consume daily in the name of subsidy. There is no accurate data and statisces to match our daily consumption. Thereby the subsidy money is been siphon by people in government and they go about telling different story about how people export fuels to neirbouring country, etc.. which not the major problem of subsidy scam.

Bro, you're very over right. Proverb 23 vs 9 you need to apply that verse of the bible sometimes expecially when conversation with people go south.
You actually open my eyes to something today. Not everyone can think/reason logically and bible words are living words and the words are not in
the understands many because God has not open their spiritual ears.

I am afraid you are the one who isn't doing any reading whatsoever. undecided

I explained in my very first response on this thread that what you lot assume to be joy in the presence of God, unbelievers also experience regularly at nightclubs, strip clubs, concerts, and orchestra halls. Some even spike themselves in order to have a higher level of this feeling of euphoria, so unless you are trying to tell me that the presence of God is also in those nightclubs and strip clubs, I suggest you begin logically processing that which is written in scripture. undecided

As for the presence of God, well, according to Jesus Christ, that presence only exists inside of those who belong to Him — those who obey His teachings and commandments as explained in John 14 vs 15 - 20 & John 15 vs 7 - 11 — so why you think that God's presence exists in a place/location is beyond me. Realize this is the very same Jesus Christ warned His followers against men who would come to them using His name, claiming the presence of God is here or there - Matthew 24 vs 23 - 26. undecided

2. Jesus Christ never said that the Holy Spirit aka the Spirit of Truth's job is to give interpretations of any kind. If you have any understanding of logic, you would note that in Logic, for any particular situation, there is only one Truth meaning all other interpretations and opinions are lies. So when you suggest that the Spirit of Truth interpreted God's Truth what you do is accuse Him, the Spirit of God, of feeding you a claim that is different from that decreed by Jesus Christ, the one who is God's Law — a lie. undecided

3. The Holy Spirit gives peace? According to Scripture, it is instead Jesus Christ who gave to His followers His very own peace - John 16 vs 33, so where do you get that the Spirit of Truth is the one who gives you peace? And by the way, the peace that Jesus Christ gives His followers is not the temporary kind that comes and goes, as it is EVERMORE meaning it never stops or goes away. Your emotional type of peace on the other hand is dependent on your brain chemicals, moods, and dispositions. I hope you can see how it is nothing like your emotional ups and downs. undecided
If youre truly a fan of RK then you should have known better and atleast point to a concrete evidence the prosecutor used against RK in court apart from hearsays of He did to me when I was 16 and all others. Politics / Nigeria’s Reserves Drop To $39.5bn, South Africa’s Soar To $60.3bn by olaxm: 6:38pm On Jun 06, 2022
Nigeria’s foreign reserves stood at $38.483bn by May 31, 2022, declining by five per cent from $40.521bn reported by end of December 2021, according to The Punch’s calculations of reserves movements on the Central Bank of Nigeria’s website. Nigeria’s foreign reserves stood at $38.483bn by May 31, 2022, declining by five per cent from $40.521bn reported by end of December 2021, according to The Punch’s calculations of reserves movements on the Central Bank of Nigeria’s website. By the end of April 2022 when South Africa last reported its reserves, Nigeria’s foreign reserves stood at $39.579 billion, having declined by 2.3 per cent since December 2021.

Foreign reserves are assets held on reserve by central banks in foreign currencies, according to Investopedia. These reserves are used to support the economy and boost foreign exchange market during emergencies or periods of crunch.

“If you do not want your foreign reserves to decline, then do more exports,” said Professor of Economics and former Assistant Director of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Jonathan Aremu.

“Then, a big question arises, for an economy with foreign exchange challenges and declining foreign reserves, where do political party candidates get dollars to spend in an economy that uses naira?”

Aremu explained that Nigeria’s foreign reserves would keep dropping when more dollars were spent to pay for imports while foreign exchange earnings from exports kept dropping.

Data show that Nigeria is an import-dependent and consuming nation. In 2021, the value of Nigeria’s total trade stood at $39.751tn, but total imports stood at &20.843tn while exports were valued at $18.907.79tn. However, over 70 per cent of the exports were made up of crude, which was shipped abroad, refined and re-imported.

Nigeria earned $45.56bn from crude and non- oil within the same period, according to the NBS’ Foreign Trade Statistics. Crude oil made up over 76.22 per cent of this amount, while the non-oil was 23.78 per cent. Non-oil exports were around $10.836bn.

Vietnam earned over $38bn from garments in 2021 and $57.54bn from export of phones and accessories in 2021, according to the Vietnam Department of Customs. Bangladesh, once regarded as one of the poorest in the world, earned $35.81bn from export of fabrics and garments only.

South Africa’s manufacturing sector contributed 11.74 per cent to its GDP in 2020, according to the World Bank, but Nigeria’s hovered between eight and nine per cent that year, according to the NBS’ data.

In 2020, SA’s exports were around $102bn, making it 36th exporter in the world. Though it is also a commodity-driven economy, it is also big in finished products.

“Foreign reserves growth is just about producing more. We are not exporting enough. When we produce, we export. That is the only way to grow reserves,” Managing Director/ Chief Business Officer, Optimus by Afrinvest, Ayodeji Ebo, told The Punch.

He explained that Nigeria either had to reduce its spending on imports or begin to make stronger efforts to earn foreign exchange to support its economy.
