I had credit cards worth more than $50,000 In 2001/02. I went as far as to put my cards (Amex,Discover MC and Visa) In the freezer, so i would use it" for emergencies only". I realized that when you have Credit cards, you all of a sudden have more emergencies. I am currently debt free and i do not miss any of them. I want to particularly tell you to avoid Amex, when you do not pay it off after the grace period, your finance charges changes. And plus you have to pay at least $79.99 a year just to own one. And they are always increasing your limits even when you do not ask for it.

Edoscribe is right, like i said earlier your friend needs to get here I-94 back in order before you can file for anything.Tell your friend to go out to Mexico or Canada and come right back in. With a Good I-94 u can now file for a work permit.

The field Offices in Baltimore MD, Salt Lake City Utah, Phoenix Arizona, and Las Vegas Nevada have been known to be quicker and more responsive to the needs of immigrants. I know for a fact that people move to these areas to get favorable rulings from Immigration officers and judges. That is all i can say right now. Hope all works out.

In this case it simply does not add up. Please defer to those who live in the UK. I believe it on Face that it is possible for him to make mad money, but in the system called the United Kingdom not US, it is hard for an immigrant to come and take on the system and own all he says he owns and did a stint in California and is only 21. He became a British Citizen, bought a home in NW London, he makes about $140,000 a year as a systems engineer and he is only 21. Dude at this point i am willing to fly to the UK just to say hi to our new Nigerian Prince.

Companies use that imaginary number called "market caps" to buy up other companies (Stock swaps). Market Cap is what the company is worth in the stock market. Investors have poured in Billions of $ into the company and are getting huge dividends back. Even you in Ogun state survives off google and you think that it is a fluke. Zahymaka is right they are too big to be taken over. The worst that can happen is a merger. Google is the largest player in it's space. I think they have more to explore.

Please ship RORO. If you have contacts in the NY/NJ Area, the best port to ship out of, is the port of New York or Newark. Very quick and easy. Do not waste your money with Container.

If you ask me, i would advice you to stay away from credit cards. Instead use a Line of credit with your bank. In most cases it is cheaper and builds a relationship between you and your financial institution. But credit cards work just like a short term loan. You have a grace period to pay it off or you have to pay finance charges and sometimes some of these cards come with annual maintenance fees. But if you get only always make more than the minimum payment.

If she is on a Visa Waiver that means she is holds a UK or EU passport, then first and foremost, she needs to go back say to Canada or even Mexico and re-enter the US with a valid 1-94. Stay away from F-1 Visa or anything to do with student Visa or filing through a school. Tell your friend that if she has stayed in the country for 18 months straight, she is making a mistake and putting herself in a bind. When she files for anything, she needs to make sure she starts from a good standing. Or else she risk being denied and deported.

Then step two is what does she want to get a work permit? Green card or What?

What is your worry with US immigration Laws? Are u in the US? I said Immigration is "FEDERAL LAW" But some parts of the country are better than the other for filing and quicker/more favorable responses. But you have to be in the US for these things to apply to you.

What is your friend's number, where is your friend? I might be able to help. Depending on which state she is, i might have some advice. I know immigration is Federal Law, but some places are better than the other. Now Marriage for green is really hard, there are better ways to get your status changed. What Visa did she come with? Is she out of status now? How long has she been out of status?

On the Island move toward the N500K amount and on the Mainland i guess the N250K amount. On second thoughts please ship the Contour, i hear ford is now on the rise in Nigeria since they now have a dealer, so ship the Contour you have, you will get more than what i quoted.

I will suggest you ship only the PT Cruiser and the Lincoln Navi-G. It will cost you about $1600 Each to ship RORO to Lagos. Then it will cost about N280K-N320K To clear the PT Cruiser and will cost between N390-N470 to clear the Navi-G. Now depending on how clean your car is, i suggest you sell the PT cruiser for N2-N2.2 Million and the Navigator for about N2.5-N2.8Million. But the Ford will not be worth your trouble at this point. I suggest you send it home for your family member or just sell it locally. But the ford will fetch around Naira 1m just for kicks.
