Fixing Nigeria does not need a club
It should be open, free and voluntary
PoliticsRe: Should Murice Iwu Resign? by oldie(m): 11:18pm On Nov 30, 2007
He should have resigned long time ago.
I do not think he has any sense of honour
He is still rationalising failure, incompetence and corruption
He was a lapdog for PDP
Sorry case of a professor
His sorry a s s should be kicked out now!

PoliticsRe: Getting Rid Of Tribalism Out Of Nigeria by oldie(m): 3:32pm On Nov 28, 2007
My dad once told me if availability of ECN (NEPA/PHCN) in a street recognised tribe?
I told him NO.
Lesson?
Competence and being the best in what ever you do will always see you through no matter the situation.
I run a company and employ the best that are available.
What about youhuh??
PoliticsRe: What Are Some Of The Things Our Past Presidents Got Right? by oldie(m): 12:44am On Nov 27, 2007
If any of them did somethings right, we would not be talking about Roads, Security, Education, Jobs, Water, Light etc by now

You can go ahead with your book, but I do not think you will get enough facts to fill 10 pages, unless you are writing fiction sad
Technology MarketRe: Late Entrant Strategies For Nigeria New Mobile Operators. by oldie(m): 11:53pm On Nov 26, 2007
Good essay, but I disagree with your assertion:
"Also, a peculiarity of telecoms industry is that the quality of service is primarily determined by coverage"

QoS consists of many measured weighted parameters which coverage is not part of

New entrants should concentrate more on QoS, more innovative Value added Sevices, broadband data and better planning.

OBJ brought GSM by mistake! grin
If he knew GSM was going to succeed, he would have handled it the way, NEPA, Security, Roads etc are being handled.

OBJ had all the opportunities to improve Nigeria, at the end of the day, what did we get?
Tokenism. Hit-and-Miss policies

We've had too many leaders who had no clue about governance.
They all believe that we should be grateful to them for their incompetence, shortsightedness and greed

To answer your question, Awolowo was the only one who has left any legacy

You may not get too many response to your posers
--We all blame everybody and the system except ourself
The attitude has to be right first before we can start any change.
For a start, @faketan, your attitude is right and we can all start from there
