Most people really get confused with the term overdrive. Some don’t know of it should be left on or off. There are still some people that will mistakenly press the button and then don’t know what to do afterwards.

First of all, let’s know the meaning of the overdrive in cars.

According to your mechanic, overdrive and OD for short is the highest gear in the transmission in an automatic car. It brings the RPM of the engine down at a given road speed to facilitate better speed and fuel efficiency. It also helps your car to provide the best performance in higher speed cruising.

For your normal driving, you should leave the OD switch on at all times. This will put your car in a mode that it will be able to automatically shift into top gear if necessary regardless of your selection. Leaving it on means that the ‘OD off’ light should not be on your dashboard.

Leaving the overdrive on will aid your car in utilizing its full range of transmission. It also helps your car with fuel efficiency and improved life span of your transmission.

Meanwhile, I encourage everyone to take a look under their vehicles today.

My XC90 brought up a Check Engine which turned out to be Catalytic converter issue

I accidentally took a look under the vehicle and saw that the Catalytic converter had actually been cut open in 2 places and welded.

I failed to inspect underneath the vehicle properly it appears.

What I'm mystified about is how it passed scans and didn't throw a light about the Catalytic Converter for a whole month of hard driving.

The ECU wasn't cleared and threw up some other diagnosis at point of purchase, but not catalytic converter

When I clear it myself now, it usually shows up within a day... Really neat trick.

Pls house the rear brake lights of Camry 2008/stays on even when car is switched off. What could be the cause.

The engine has been purchased. Na God save me say I carry a rewire to join the mechanic. My supposed mechanic Don arrange me down already and as a matter of fact he can't even differentiate between corrolla engine and Camry engine. Camry engine is more expensive than corrolla engine.
I got the engine for 250k

There is absolutely no way you can do capture if it's a fake drivers license.

As for your details not in the system I can't really say, I think details only appear when it's a month to driver license renewal. When your license hasn't expired you won't be able to view anything in your details.

For a fresh applicant I always advice you to fall prey to their gimmicks because

1. They will frustrate you in Lagos and delay the process

2. They will ask you to do it by the books since you don't want them to have their cut, at the end you will be begging them, cause they will ask you to tender drive school certificate from accredited schools then the school should send your application, medical test etc etc.

As a new entrant just pay 20k for 3years and around 25k upwards for 5years then you can do it by the books for renewal.

good work, but pls use sort rubber, metal to ceramic contact is very hard and will cause the glue to crack and the ceramic capacitor will be dislodged in no time. Bathroom slippers is a winner for stuff like this.
