guseman: After tracking the 90cm dish,I was able to get 90% signal strenght the I went to dish setting to enable the port,that is where I mess things up.

I reset d rx and it worked but intelsat 7/10 not longer avail.

I have been trying to set it up but till now no luck.

Ilish: Find Eutelsat 36A at 36.E.....then move your dish to the left (if u re standing behind the dish) just a bit and pull down the dish a bit....use 12523 v 19531.Am using a fibre. 1.8m offset dish which has a feedhorn.

Anyway, for amos 5 and w3c, first track multi tv with 12523 v 19531. Fine tune the signal to the best % possible. Then input 12562 h 30000, and standing behind the dish, raise it up a little and to ur right. Play around dia and it should come. Den blindscan. Regards.

I have tried what you told me to do and i failed it only popped blue instead of red caz i use this philibao mpeg 2 receiver but the %age willbe around 80-89 bt very unstable. So shud i buy a mpeg4 str4669x11 or what? Another thing what does 'R and L' mean in c band terms how do i put them caz i m familiar with H and V' may be i can track Optma sports or do ineed a larger dish for c-bnd?

n9jaboy: Dual lnb two decoders! Is that what you mean. Just wanna try it out. I mean extend it to another tv in the bedroom or please whats the best option of running multiple view with just a decoder. Thank you for being there.

I bought the 90cm dish yesterday and all the accessories. I will try and fix it later today,been busy in the office but am free abit now. So where do I start from?

NB: I bought strong LNB cos d guy selling it recommended dat it is good, but going tru your comment I realized you indicated that I should not buy strong LNB. Let me see wat I can do

olenyi: W3a in a way faces south. It is above multitv. But we will first track astra 4a @ 4.8'east.
This is how u track it.


Go to ur dish. Dia are two screws on both side dat u use to tighten the dish to ur desired elevation.
Now loosen the one on top on both sides. On close observation, u will notice their are two holes provided for the screw. Remove the top screw from the first hole and refix it in the inner one. (this will allow the dish attain the desired elevation in other to hit 4.8'e)

Now track joytv with 12523 v 19531 on astra 2f @ 28.6'e. Optimize the signal to the best u can get.

Now input 12015 v 29950 and standing at the back of your dish, start tracking the signal in this format.
While keeping your eyes on the signal on ur tv, raise ur dish vertically until it is almost facing the heavens, bring it down again. Shift the dish horizontally a bit to the right, raise up vertically again, down,
Again a bit to the right, up and down. A little to the right, up, down. Keep at it until the dish is like its faceing south.

Continue in this way and u should hit green. When u hit grenn, fine tune ur dish until u get the highest % u can get. Tighten.

Now input 11192 v 03210. play around dat position and u should hit green. Fine tune once more and blindscan.
Pheeeew!!! Hope this helps. If u hit any difficulties, feel free to ask and we shall help out.

n9jaboy: I've checked. All channels on Astra(multitv) 12522-19531 came out on H & V. Please if you are familiar with 4940 what kind of cable can i use for the loopout. Another thing i notice is when using the Picture-in-picture function i cant e.g combine channels from multitv & mytv, rather both channels gotta come from the same bird. As for my diseq will replace it 2moro and report back. Thank you

hon1977: Hie house i need to track RDV and i'm in Zimbabwe what size of the dish do i need and another thing can i nail it with mpeg2 decoder and also on which sat is programme national? By the way i have 180cm dish and i also have aCband lnb but its getting nothing in terms of football only Oromia tv.

Xpset: thats d problem with that str. you can change from h to v if it didn't pop up. i finally sold mine looking for 4930

n9jaboy: Maybe your own version of firmware is different from mine. What i do is enter a frequency and symbol rate, when it comes to changing the Polarization it does complain of SAME TP EXIST but if you press Ok button it gives you an option to change from V to H.
