1. She's on track. So she shud stay focused and maintain her passion, zeal and hardwork. Things would surely fall into place. 2.My view: she can achieve both. She wud hav been tru wit university by now or close to it. Though I respect the fact that she knows wat she wants and has defined her target. 3. She's got an amazing personality and she knows her mind. Shez very intelligent, smart, matured and reasonable. Iv always known she was precocious, so i'l add dat too. 4. Yea iv seen some: Romantic attraction, Burning desire, Bobo my love and others I cant remember the titles. Shez very entertaining. 5. Yea. Sure. She makes dem rock. 6. Some nairalanders shud realy get a life. Hating never got anybody anywhere. |
...Or should I hav said "Babies Pink" because the role was actually played by identical twin babies. Movie enthusiasts in the house will surely remember the little babies that wowed viewers with incredible antics many years ago. Well they are all grown. Someone on my contact updated "hapy 10th birthday baby pink on his profile, and I remember seeing that movie over 15 years ago, so I tried letting him know. Of course an argument ensued which prompted me to do a lil research. I got dis from wiki. "Baby's Day Out is a 1994 live-action comedy film, written by John Hughes and produced by Richard Vane and John Hughes, and directed by Patrick Read Johnson. The film stars Joe Mantegna, Joe Pantoliano and Brian Haley, as well as twins Adam Robert Worton and Joseph Jacob Worton as Baby Bink. The plot centers around a wealthy baby's kidnapping by three incompetents, his escape and adventure through a big city while being pursued by the three kidnappers. I still hav dis movie and funny enough, still see them as babies.

@Paulex..it realy puzzled me too. I repeatedly pestered my mum, demanding to where my younger sibling emerged from. I see her pregnant today and d nxt moment with a baby. Of course, she always changed d topic and dat fired curiousity, so I questioned other adults.
I was watching a soap on NTA (can't remember which one), while my mum dozed on the settee. Lady in the soap: #Screaming# 'He sexually molested me! He sexually molested me!!' I turn to my mum and shake her because her eyes are closed. Me: Mummy, what is sexual molestation?
lol. She must have wondered where the question came from. Children nowadays can embarass one with brilliant questions. While teaching in a kiddies religious class, a lil gal asked me ;"why do people still go to hell fire? Reasoning that..if the wages of sin is death, then whoever dies has paid for his/her sins and shud therefore go to heaven. ![]() |
I didn't know that in other states phone numbers are published. In Niger, we didn't include them o. In fact, there was a directive from th DG (Okorie-Affia) not to include them for security reasons I think. However, NYSC secretariat has everyone's number and address in that big book called Book of Life, which is kept with the state coordinator. Anyway, phone numbers are really easy to come across these days. Some people even leave theirs on their facebook info page, and someone can easily go thru your profile, put two and two together and ATTEMPT to scam you. How you respond is entirely up to you.
Thumbs up deepwaters..you are a very reasonable person. Nairaland is a public forum, so members are entirely free to express themselves. However your choice of words gives an insight into the kind of person you are. People log in here and use words like "daft, stupid, foolish, dunce, mumu, mugu, maga..." It beats me. Well they say u r a product of ur environment. |

Suraj and other smart guys in the house-who would not fall for any scam, you all probably got jobs immediately after service. But put urselves in the shoes of majority of the oda corpers pushed out into an alredy jampacked labour market. Statistics has it that less than 7% of out-going corpers get jobs immediately. I agree that it's very wrong to pay your way into a job, but desperation can make u do the unthinkable. With d present spate of social networking I.e. Facebook,Twitter, linked, skype etc, u can always get bk ur contacts' numbers wit their consents. Asides the scammers, I kno a numbers of girls, some of them married, who complained that they received calls and all sorts of disturbing text msgs from unknown people saying all sorts of rubbbish in the name of chyking- all courtesy of the year book. All of u clamouring for the numbers to stay, I see ur points, but in my opinion, I still think the numbers should go. |
fittty: Who's forcing you to include ur real numberHow can you fill an NYSC form with a fake number? It's obvious that you've not served. Moreova, corpers only input in the year book is their passport photo. NYSC staff get the remaining details from their database and publish it without asking the corpers'opinion. Dude, if uv gained admission, graduate first and don d khaki. It's beta xperienced dan imagined. |
Sometime ago, about a year after my youth service, I received a call from an unknown number and this is a summary of what the person said;"...that we did NYSC together in the same organization, but he was in a different department. He presently works in Nigerian Agip Oil Company PHC, AGIP is presently having a hushed internal recruitment which he wants me to benefit from...that he would need N100,000 to settle ppl. He said I should bring whatever I have and he would assist with the balance-which I wud repay when I get d job.. Of course I told him I don't remember him, but he mentioned about 5 other guys dat served with me and sounded very convincing. we were more 100 corpers in NNPC Napims, so I believed him. My saving grace was dat I was totally broke, so I ddnt credit his account. A friend of mine wasn't so lucky, he lost about N50k.. I have since realized these scammers poach numbers and details from NYSC year books. So pls let sm1 here with clouth convince NYSC to stop publishing phone numbers of out-going corpers in the year book. Share your experiences too |

As the picture depicts...Obj and Ibb are playing a game. Danjuma is counting the scores, Abacha is out of the game..and some others are observing.I'm sure Abdulsalaam is lurking somewhere in the shadows.. Same applies in real life... To dese men, Nigeria is a game of draughts...(Chop I chop) Obasanjo and IBB are still in the game...Abacha has been played out permanently....Theophilus Danjuma has always been an umpire...Abdulsalaam the silent one is keenly watching as usual... The players keep changing, bt d game is still on... A picture is indeed worth a thousand words Naija I hail!!

ifeness: YOU ARE ON DRUGS AGAINNo point getting insultive on a forum like dis...we r here to hav fun and learn. Obinnau: my wish will be to look like a 27 year old with the same strength and live for 1000 yearsDude 1000 yrs! bomaibulub: Just one wish. Then it has to be;lol...typical naija guy. But Boma, let's say it just has to be 1. Wud u chose wealth of salvation? And what wud ur 3 wishes be if he grants u 3 |

At times, I seriously ponder on these lines..."If God asks me to make a wish. A single wish! What would I wish for." Now take a moment to think about this. Irrespective of d diversity of religion in dis world, there is one thing in common- The belief in an Almighty God". So,if He grants me such an opportunity, I alredy hav 100% assurance dat the wish would come true. Presently, my wish list is soo long and it's difficult to make a choice. But let's narrow it down to 2 category of wishes (worldly and unworldly). So I ask all fun-lovin hustling people like me who still believe in a hereafter; Would you make a wish that would guarantee you material prosperity and then struggle to make heaven or would you make one that would secure your salvation and then continue hustling? Answers please..... |
obadiah777: you are quite a barbaric fellow aint ya ?whr d F.uck does ur sympathy lie? Wit dem murderers? |
I realy don't want those boys dead... I pray they spare their lives, Gorge out their eyes, castrate them, tamper with their spinal cords and leave them to die slowly...no point wasting bullets |
She shouldnt have fhucked with the Navy... This case is as good as dead on arrival
Okija juju dis is very insensitive. Even if dis was ur immediate opinion, I expect u to reason differently in black and white. Many Nigerians need ideologic emancipation. |
Nigerians don wise up. They kno life is equally tough in London wit d tax and all. Infact an escape might be a frying pan to fire move. If to say na Ame,na only d officials go come back. Dose camerounians neva jam. They stil paint fairytale pictures of London. Wen dia eyes go clear they'l rue d free trans they forfeited. |
@OP; Spirit96 hit the bulls Eye. Spirit96: 'I LV U' IS USED 2 EXPRESS ONE'S PASSION 4 A LVD ONE. IT CLD BE UR PASTOR, UR CHILDREN, PARENT, CLOSE FRIENDS ETC. 'IAM IN LV WIT U' IS A DEVELOPED EMOTION 4 SOMEONE U WANT 2 HV AN INTIMACY WIT. THAT'S MY UNDERSTANDN.Dis is so so so on point. People mix up dose terminologies al d tym, but here is d way I see it;'Love is a superset' I.e. Words such as; Like, fondness, enjoy e.t.c are all subsets of the word 'Love'. So u can love a relative, a friend, a movie, a car, a pet, God etc...it's just a higher degree of liking/fondness.(No intimate emotions involved) Being 'in love' however, is totally different in that you'v fallen for someone and you are ready to have an intimate relationship. So u can love so many things together, but u can only be in love with one person at a time. Adeniyi, dis is not just my opinion, it's d ansa to ur question. It is English Language. Lots of people get it twisted, but I'm so sure of the above. |
