Registration is on Mondays.
Go very early. As early as 7am so that you can do your tests same day and complete registration.
ANC runs Tues to Thurs, i think they included Friday too now. if you have any particular day in mind, don't be shy to tell them.
But I would advice Wednesday. The consultant is very thorough and doesn't overlook issues.






For other moms that want cheaper hospitals.
Try Health Centre, Akerele Masha. Just opposite Eko Hospital, they are cheaper and in my opinion more caring. Their Mat and Child is also new which means neater bathrooms and wards.
Their nurses make sense too. Always nice and cordial.

May Allah reward you abundantly ma'am, I really appreciate. I will go there next week Monday In sha Allah.

Their antenatal clinic is around 15k total. And I think they pay #200 daily. Never paid sha, heard its the new system (my Sil) had her baby there 6 months ago.

Their delivery is great. Both times I used them I had no complaints. The nurses can have skoinskoin but that isn't peculiar to them, its almost everywhere. As long as you can handle them, no leles.
Normal delivery costs around 25k
CS is around 75k
Without drugs.

Gbaja is the Maternal and Child Care Hospital.
I used to work at Randle.
I used Gbaja for my first (2012) and second (2015), ask your questions but note that I may not have very recent answers

I mean The maternal and child care hospital, I don't know they are different.

How's their antenatal and is it pocket friendly?
How's their delivery service too?

Good day ma,

on your question the rhesus factor come to play when your lo is rhesus positive than there will be an interference likely.

In my case my first hospital did not even say anything about rhesus anything even when I asked the Gyne he was pressing his phone and said bye until I insisted on an answer and he wrote out a drug I should go to H-Medix a pharmacy in Abuja to ask if I could take the drug in pregnancy. I didn't go. I changed hospital at 26 weeks and the Gyne took his time to explain the effect and asked me to come back for the test at 28 weeks the result was negative then and I was told I will do another one at 36 weeks which came out weakly positive and had to do an emergency CS.

My advice:

If you are comfortable doing the test monthly its fine otherwise I would think there are specific weeks chosen to do the test medically. However unless the test comes out positive there is no need for Rhogam until within 3 days after birth.

A pregnancy with positive ICT would be monitored and the Rhogam can only be administered when the pregnancy is too young to be delivered, the Rhogam will still be given 3 days after birth meaning 2 different shot (got mine for N38,000, please try and get one because I was told it is scare and it has to be refrigerated so you buy and leave it in the place you paid for it till you want to use it. if you don't have one already).This is the doctors job anyway they know what to do when it is positive. Yours wouldn't be this way.



Being a Rhesus negative mama it is important your blood level is good boost your blood level very well, blood is expensive and hard to find, I was transfused at 30 weeks 2 pints 1 pint N15,000 plus abeg 2nd pint dh had to donate to swap with someone who had rhesus negative blood. As I was admitted for malaria and anemia in pregnancy.

Duty calls.

The doctor told me the ward to go to and I went there and informed the nurses so I could get a bed space and I was asked all the questions in this world believe me I was not in the mood of talking I just want sleep but I answer all the questions, I didn't have my card because it was with dh who took my phone and went to God know where I was looking silly.

They finally gave me a bed space and took turns in coming to ask me who asked me to come to the ward. At this point I just want to cry and I asked the nurses if the ward was a fancy hotel that anyone would leave the comfort of their house to come and sleep. I decided to go outside until the doctor came as I turned to leave the doctor came in with another doctor. Nah that time the nurses free me phew.

The doctor advice the test result shows baby's heat rate is low plus my weakly positive ICT, the consultant told me best option nah CS. OK lemme tell dh, took a while before he came nah so we start deliberation he insisted no CS, I no fit drag with man now abeg. OK let's meet the doctor to advice and at the time the consultant was not there, she was sitting on the fence oh. She said both is good chances are 50/50 i no come know weitin to do again i just told dh to call the pastor and tell him. ( we have been having lots of revelation and has been praying for safe delivery). Pastor said do CS I just they thank God as no evil report go happen I no fit hear say baby didn't make it due to stressful labour cut me open comot the picking abeg jejely.

Na so we take do CS oh, the emergency was such that the doctor said baby has to come out today oh the haste was too much, the doctor come tell dh say even if we choose to be induced we go still land for CS as pikin no fit do labour.

At 12:09am 20/03/18 my tall, fair, rich, handsome, holy Ghost filled son was delivered weighing 2.9kg. rhesus positive. He cried weakly. However he was good.

After birth another drama this time it was my Anty she said I didn't tell her I was in labour therefore she no go come hospital can you imagine after safe delivery baby, mother and father is fine no one to help oh Nah so I just they cry oh Nah only her we call say we dey hospital and on emergency CS oh she no send me. everything has been sorted out sha.

I Thank God Almighty for His power shown in my pregnancy.

I thank all members of this forum where I learnt a lot of things even though I posted very little thanks to my Job, also maybe I would have lost this baby as I almost eat pepper soup and agidi as that's only wat I want when I was about 6 weeks, until a mama although she lost her lo reported she had miscarriage and was not sure why and she state she took pepper soup and swallow a day before, believe me my pepper soup and agidi was waiting for me since the night before would have eaten it save for the fact that dh brought rice that night and I was warming up to go and eat my meal before I read it on this forum.

I would like to advice all mothers; please if you are rhesus negative don't joke with it, OK? please do ICT test early I did at 28 and 36 weeks insist on knowing the test result as soon as possible. In my case who knows what would have happened if I waited one more week like the doctor asked me to.

Also follow your instinct, if your spirit say something is wrong follow up, even when Dr. says otherwise seek different opinions of drs./ hospital of course its your pregnancy even your dh can only feel concern he does not wear the shoe.

Right now my son is so attracted/has a bond to/with his father am jealous, maybe because it took almost 12 hours before I held him and his father was first to hold him

I have done the ICT thrice since conception and I tested negative.

Is it possible to still test positive before childbirth? tho I intend going for the test every month.

Can I take the Rhogam shot at 28weeks even if I'm still negative?

When is the best time to take the Rhogam shot?

It could be you body stretching to accommodates baby however if you find it very uncomfortable please report to your doc! All the best sis.

It’s most likely your uterus expanding to accommodate the baby. It causes the muscles to stretch that’s why you feel that kind of sensation. Sometime it might be painful depending on your position.
Mine is painful sometimes and the Dr said not worry about it.

Having same thing for 2 days now.
I am sure this one is not worm
It started like worm feeling, but its stronger now, like hooking me one side. If I change position, it stops.

I have had the strong ones while lying down for a long time.
