jude33084: I was doing 80 VFR, A2A Accusim Cherokee180 today from DNMM to DNIB (FSX) in a nasty weather I created. After climbing above 7,000ft and the weather became clear with sun ahead my little boy asked me this funny question; don't you have an aircraft fm like car stereo where you listen to music and all that stuff?
I said well, the only radio you can listen to out there is the one you hear all the annoying noise from ATC but I am going to ask someone who knows better.
So oga Boeing 777, do you have a gadget in your B777 where you listen to music when flying ?
I know it is not in any of the trainer aircraft I know. Bose A20 Aviation headset has a 3.5mm jack and Bluetooth, so u can plug it to ur phone and listen to music, it automatically mutes when tower/approach etc starts yapping. It's cost about $1000 I leave the rest to Boeing 777

ademolamiowon: So please if I do my courses from PPL to CPL in South Africa will it be easy to apply for jobs in any country with any company? Different countries have different laws and different processes for license conversion. For example, to CONVERT your license from FAA to NCAA, You'll need to do a medical and Nigerian Airlaw exam. I believe the FAA will convert your Nigerian CPL to FAA PPL, you'll need to do FAA IR & CPL to convert, I stand to be corrected tho |

ademolamiowon: Good day Bro...., I'm a prospective pilot student as I have contacted some academies in south Africa and by God's grace, I'm hoping to start by August.
Now, my major concern is that, I dropped out of university 3years back and I'm just afraid maybe issues of Bsc will be a barrier when I finish my training in terms of job offer.
Secondly, I wish to do my PPL and Night Rating training in South Africa and then continue my CPL/IR in either UK or US....I want to know if this will be possible and will not be a stress.
Please kindly advice me.
thank you! UK falls under EASA(European Aviation Safety Agency) , so you'll need to do 14 EASA ground courses(it's not beans, stress level is high cos if u fail 1 subject 3 times, you'll need to write the entire 14 all over again) switching from a South African license, I guess u might not need to do all 14 but check to be very sure, as for USA you'll need to check that too |

Cutehector: urm I think I will be needing to get that desktop.
Ok urm, first off, I wana buy ur laptop, deal? Get a gaming laptop, they have high end graphics card coupled with the high specs which would make your flight sim run effortlessly albeit they're expensive.. |

MrCow: what is the function of an Helipad since all helicopters can land of any free space The fact that Helicopters can land anywhere doesn't mean they can land in free space sir, only witches and wizards can do that. "The Helipad/Helideck is a landing deck for helicopters on ships, oil platforms, buildings, etc" |

igwemoagbo: Love this new thread.... I really envy pilots..have thousands of cockpit videos. Landing and take off procedure. But my love for helicopters is just cool. Awesome machine. Ability to take off and land in any open cleared space.. Already met couple of caverton and Bristow pilots..and learnt alot from ground-based tutorial... Hoping I see a sponsor. Gods grace... But their humor is amazing. A helicopter. Pilot once told me... Fixed wings are for sisi ''s. But rotary are the real ball game....i confirmed this statement... When I tired landing a BELL 412 in my simulator. Gosh..... Cos Helicopter Pilots are BOSSES! We whip the air into submission.... Lol |

okikiosibodu: it's part of their trianing Multi -engine rating, Instrument rating, and Night rating. as a matter of fact, they wait for bad weather conditions during their training phase in the flight school , to handle situations better. I don't think this is true, no pilot wants to fly in bad weather, it certainly wasn't part of my own training to wait for bad weather. |
