Atiku only suggested it, though I can't recall him doing so. Serious people are building it, and it is the people who will benefit when Nigeria's money is no more sent abroad to fuel your car. We would even make more forex by selling petrol to neighbouring countries!

I don’t know the narrative ure trying to chase here, as I have written nothing against anyone making money from his business. My grouse is with the govt. that is by all intents losing money to moribund refineries intentionally when they can either fix them up easily or privatize them. But they won’t because of the personal wealth they’re making from fuel imports.

Yeah, they’re not yet operational. Out of 38 licenses given in 2018, only 4 are up to 60% complete. Some have not even broken ground since. So 'sprouting' might not be the right adjective to use for them.

If refineries were sprouting as u have claimed, modular refineries would be operational over the nation since and we wouldn’t have to be losing product and forex abroad.
Nigerians are celebrating them now as if they’re building it as a gift to the country, which is funny because Atiku was attacked in the press for suggesting something along the same lines, but one that would benefit the people instead.

The hotel was built on a property belonging to Ugbor Primary School. How does righting a wrong deed become a heartless action? Is a privately owned hotel now of more economic advantage to the state than a school?
