This is the sort of thing that can make or break careers in a reasonable country.

But this is Nigeria! It’ll only break ur career because ur Oga @ d top will shut down ur investigation with “the matter has been transferred to Abuja”, while u watch as the vehicles proceed in another direction to the initially intended receivers!

Travel › Re: US Embassy Blocks Visa Interview Dates In Nigeria Until Further Notice by olisaEze(m): 9:04am On Aug 26, 2019
So the US govt has now decided to scam us back na? Do me ah do yu things ba!?grin

Before the ‘high & mighty’ ‘holier than thou’ crew get here with the usual tribe bashing, the question u should ask urselves is if ur country could utilize ur potentials and provide for u, would it really matter if even a travel ban was placed on ur country? How many Americans need to travel out to enjoy 24hrs light supply, or afford three square meals, or even realize their potentials? The poverty is real in our land, that is why this will pain those that read this. Whether they are among those that just paid the visa fee or not!

What if you go out there and denounce your nationality?

I am in no way in support of crime, as a matter of fact, crime does not pay.
But this reaction is weak and empty.
Broda in Nigeria crime pays o! How else would someone have an illustrious career as a military officer, and rule you thrice without meeting the basic requirements of an o’level certificate? If that is not a crime against those that possess this minimum requirement that have applied to the NDA and had their applications rejected, I wonder what is! grin

PS: before anyone runs into my mentions, ask yourselves first if you as a southerner can get a job in the civil service, banking sector, etc except your father’s cattle ranch with “he will pass” recommendations like ‘our holy mallam’ has done? cheesy

And somebori’s father actually thought that by saying this he would be making sense to the people he swore on the Koran to protect?

You can’t protect us against internal criminals, you can’t protect us against external criminals, you can’t protect us against foreign authorities, what are you now there for!? Would the America you’re trying so hard to impress do same for you?

004gist:
When APC goons where trying to take over government they talk so intelligent like travelling to Brazil to see how power is being generated and also implement it here in Nigeria. cry naija sef
Yeah bro talk is cheap, and that is what Nigerians need to realistically realize. A man that stole, cheated or killed to get to where he is now will easily justify those actions from his associates to remain there, while vilifying same in his opponents. “There’s no honor among thieves”, just like interests. And that is a summary of the Nigerian political landscape.

Why anyone with a brain in between his ears would hero worship and defend any of these wicked old men masquerading as politicians who have mortgaged our collective futures and are currently doing the same to our kids really beats my imagination!

When will we receive the sense that we all claim to have and generously offer to donate to others that don’t have the same opinions we share?

Politics › Re: Andrew Young: Nigerians Are Always Complaining About Govt by olisaEze(m): 4:05pm On Aug 24, 2019
Shoodboi:
Andrew Young's statement sums up the problem of this country. It is obvious that he is very aware of what goes down here.

Hear him out:

This part is very true. We are all mad in this country. Right from the politicians to the masses.

The ones that vote are mad because they always vote based on their tribal affiliations and the little change or food distributed to them.

The ones that do not vote are also mad.

They are often the most educated and most affected by terrible government policies. They complain the most on Facebook, Twitter and Nairaland.

But they refuse to vote and instead leave old people, Almajiris, beggars, uneducated market women, villagers and people who sold their votes for three cups to garri or vote based on tribal affiliation to determine who rules over them.

I seriously doubt if we are up to 200 million in this country. I won't even be surprised if we are not up to 100 million.

How many Nigerians are there? No one knows. Not even the Nigerian government.

State governments are fond of including nonexistent people to their census figures just because they want to collect more money from the FG.

The FG looks the other way because it only organized a census to siphon money and not because it really wants one.

Just like the 2006 census when we were told that Kano is more populous than Lagos.

Kano?

Everyone knows Lagos is the most populous state in this country.

The UN knows, the US knows, the EU knows, Nigerians know, Lagosians know, the Kano state government knows but the Nigerian government does not know.

We are all mad in this country. All of us. Including me and you all reading this.
