timbros: The stats say otherwise.
Upfront have consistently scored two or more goals recently but the disaster behind have equally conceded 2 goals consistently.
I know who to believe between airmark and stats.
@bolded... Your surer bet is defenders conceding at least 2 goals. Zen Master...You Sabi ball! |

A world class player available for 50m If we have, money perfect. He's better than Nico even on the wings. I'll take him over Nico. But nah just normal Bilva to Barcelona news wey dey happen every summer. He's not coming! |

BlueMann: Randomly decided to check the Championship table cause it's been a while since I last did so and omo, I was shocked. This impending Leicester bottlejob will be crazy.
They were double digits clear of second place at one point in the second half of the season, but their lead has been trimmed to one point by Ipswich Town, albeit Ipswich have played one more game (40 to 39). Leeds are now just two points away with same no. of games played as Leicester. Even fourth placed Southampton are still in with a chance with 77 points from one less game played (38).
7 games left in the season means plenty of time left for more drama.
Modified: Ipswich and Southampton currently playing. Soton were leading as at when I posted this but Ipswich have equalized, so for now they're level on points at the top. Leicester can make do with another season in the championship if they bottle it. It'll help them to develop their spine and return when they're ripe enough for the EPL. We don't need another set of weaklings like Luton town and Sheffield United in the league! |

Caicedobets: the magnitude of the mistake will be clear next season Palmer would have been a suitable deputy for bernado on that right wing
He has everything Doku doesn't from passing to finishing to ball control Next season will tell all better City nah oil club, Savinho is coming, if e no work, they'll buy another. Palmer will continue to do well for Chelsea but I doubt it'll really affect City and Pep! |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by oliverano: 8:43pm On Mar 31, 2024 |
Kimbeast: You will know the way city plays when teams are sitting deep doesn't really suit Haaland style. Just today he was making so many runs that were ignored just for the ball to be recycled and passed back to a center back. Bernardo silva was guilty of this a lot. Haaland can also go solo and bully defenders when played to his strength Okay Chief. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by oliverano: 8:33pm On Mar 31, 2024 |
Caicedobets: In retrospect city made a big mistake selling palmer Boy is far better than Doku Hindsight is 20/20.... It wasn't really a big mistake. Palmer wasn't guaranteed playing time, Chelsea's offer was too good to turn down for an unproven academy player. Fact is, nobody knew how Palmer will turn out. You can go and check when Palmer was signed. Some Chelsea fans were against the deal because...."unproven yet expensive" On Doku, the jury is still out on him. Very few players do well with Pep in their first season. Even Rodrigo struggled. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by oliverano: 8:25pm On Mar 31, 2024 |
Kimbeast: Did you watch Mbappe vs Germany? He was equally as frustrated as Haaland was today without service. Which attacker doesn't need service to thrive. Foden was terrible today, Bernardo didn't do much and even when Doku came on he was toothless too. I really don't know why anyone will be picking on Haaland when does meant to supply him had poor games themselves. Even Messi and Ronaldo had off days.... Halaand and Mbape are both world class players but one is not like the other. My comment on Halaand isn't based on today's game but what I've observed especially this season. For today, all credit goes to the Arsenal defence. Halaand's game depends so much on good supply that's why in the toughest games so far so good he hasn't really been spectacular. Mbape needs service too but he can go solo and disrupt play. |

Halaand without service is Alexander Sorloth. Those comparing him to Mbape are just looking for another Ronaldo Vs Messi rivalry. They're not close....Mbape clear.
Meanwhile, A40, you said that we made a mistake by allowing Pep to get his hands on Djokoo. This guy isn't better than Stanley Okoro if you watch him closely. May be it's the first season syndrome under Pep, we're watching. |

jpmoriarti: Conceding against PSG is expected. We just have to outscore them. Hopefully Frenkie de Jong will be fit.
Ter Stegen
Kounde - Araujo - Curbasi - Cancelo
Frenkie - Christensen - Gundogan
Yamal - Lewandowski - Raphinha
We're good to go like this. Joao Felix also has option to start . Wonderful line up right there.... But like Ferran who couldn't start against Palmas because he just returned, I think we can make do with Roberto and see how the game goes but yeah if fit enough, who wouldn't want Frenkie 👌 |

Starting Yamal was just rookie level man management from Xavi. The 16 year old boy played almost the entire match against a physical Brazilian team 3days prior. At the surprise of no one, the kid almost dropped a stinker and looked lethargic from the very first minute. I hope this doesn't repeat itself in the future. Starting Lewy was understandable though. Curbasi is not a normal player. Good win! |
