Wrong decision, he should have gone to Bayern

At this stage of his career, you will hardly get trophies handled to you on a plate like at Bayern

If he add 3 or 4 Bayern trophies to his Leverkusen trophy, he can command big fees and good jobs for the next ten years

He should avoid Liverpool till Pep leaves England before his career gets suffocated

You've said it all. Valid points all round!

Transfermkt lists him at 50m. Other valuation sources put him between 35-45m currently, but I'd like to think he'd be a bit higher than that.
Hmmm, Enzo and Caicedo were valued 15m and 12m respectively before moving to Chelsea. We all know how much they went for.

Transfermarket valuation nah online noise. Selling clubs don't give a sh!!t.

Kudos is 80m plus if he's to leave Westham today. Westham paid almost 50m for him.

In today’s football, dribbling is superficial. Also, dribbling ≠ talent you folks are aesthetic fiends. Talent is speed, shooting, hold up play, off the ball movement and playmaking in one piece.
grin grin grin grin grin

You're just playing with semantics lol abeg no do make I laugh. I actually do not really care about Messinhno. We need proven players not kids at this point. If we get Messinhno, good, if we don't, I don't really care. His position is occupied by a boy who, without injuries could go on to become a top, top player.

Meanwhile, Talent (T) = F{dribbling, shooting, off the ball movement, passing, speed etc....n}

I just mentioned one of his talent based on what I've seen from him on YouTube.

Wow, if that's the case, good for all parties. That will be great if it's true.

He's a top talent. Elite dribbling skills!

Yup Nico and Onana should be the main priority but Estevao is also a talent we can't miss on especially with those cele boys not allowing us get the best Brazilian talents after Neymar, they were even tracking roque at one point before they moved on to endrick, infact I believe if not for the interview with Mundo deportivo talking of his dream of playing for Barça he might probably have been scooped by them already, we need as much talent as we can get to compete
Yeah, I've already pointed that out. After A DM and left winger, we can go for Messinho. He's going for 60m. Even more expensive than Nico.

Meanwhile, how good is Onana on the ball. He's a beast off it but how careful is he with the ball. That's a prerequisite for a Barca DM. It's why Romeo has failed here. I prefer Matts Weiffer but won't mind Onana sha.

If Nico deal goes through I dought we can sign estavo Williams
Nico should be the priority after a solid DM. Estavao is good but Nico is a proven quantity in our league. May be after both objectives, we can sign him if spare money dey

The priority is a left winger and a DM. Although Estavo can play there, he's not a specialist there. In that position, he'll be crossing alot because his weak foot is weak. He can't shoot well with his right. He's a special talent no doubt but no money!

N/B
Estavao is going for 60m
Nico is going for 50m

Andre I see your point, but how can he be anything different from Dembele at his best? I feel that at 22, a promising top player should have already gotten their acts together in terms of technique and impact.

At 22 you could already see that players like Robben, Raul, Eto, Henry, XavIniesta, Fabregas, Mbappe, Suarez, Rooney, Owen, Aguero, or if we come below this level Vinicius, Pedri, Musiala, Saka, Foden, were already or going to be world beaters.

All these 6 goals and 12 assists for an attacker wanting to go to Barca isnt really impressive to me which has exactly been my grouse with Barca's capture of Raphina. A top level winger should be posting not less than 25 - 30 G/A a season.

At best, he can come in as a placeholder but I doubt he can mature into a worldbeater. Who knows I may be wrong though.
I think that If we miss out on Nico and for 50m, we'll have ourselves to blame unless we're counting on Fati.

Felix is not Barca quality and he's on loan, Ferran is so so, Fati struggling at Brighton, Raphinha is unable to take on a cone even though he's doing better statistically. Let's not forget that Raphinha could be sold if need be.

Meanwhile, I'll like you to name wingers that could join Barca and are affordable. Remember that Leao is on ONE(1) league goal in SIX(6) months and will go for like 80 or 100m while Kvara is the definition of a one season wonder. He too will be super expensive.

We need a winger on the left. Pls highlight at most 3 wingers we could afford who are currently doing better than Williams jnr or are actual world beaters!

Same award that had the likes of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, zidane, rivaldo, kaka, Cruyff, platini, beckenbauer, Lev yashin, Figo winning it. Even the only African to win it we are using to brag today George weah.
FIFA was giving it's own award while the ballon dor journalists also gave their own before their brief merger with FIFA so no be you go tell us which award was superior. It's subjective.
Nothing against Owen. In his prime, he was unstoppable. But....Factually, FIFA was superior, I think still superior but balondor is more prestigious because it's older.

You can check the quality of players/performances of those who won FIFA player of the year and the old bolondor.

Owen won balondor in 2001 because of what he did in UEFA cup and some domestic cup performances like Fa cup/League cup.

However, same 2001, Figo won FIFA player of the year after helping Madrid to the league title.

1 league title in a top five league greater than grade B cups like UEFA cup, League cup and Fa cup. I reiterate; nothing against Owen. He was indeed a great player!

Well, if Barca isn't experienced at the highest level, then which club is?

I do remember that a change of formation to a back three by Koeman helped us recover and mount a serious title challenge until the final few games in 20/21 season. So we do have some precedence in that regard. Though not saying Xavi should adopt this vs PSG.
Barca is experienced at the highest level. Our coach isn't. This is his second full season in a top five (5) league.

He's not really trained with the formation in actual games unlike Alonso who started out with 3 ATB as his main formation. It's a different situation.

Omo cancelo and fort no fit mark mbappe ooh, be like we go call some of these Barça atletic defenders make we switch to 3 center backs.
Kounde is not injured, it's just a slight knock. He won't play their next game but will return to Barca. He's okay.

Side note, May be it's just me but I just don't like back 3. You need to be very tactically sound to execute it at the highest level.

The formation usually morphed into a back 5 when defending meaning you'll lose midfield control then shapes into a proper 3-2-4-1 when attacking. if you lose possession while attacking with men forward, a pacy attacker will finish you off if given the right pass.

I think you need lots of experience at the highest level to get it right. It exist in grassroot level but very rarely used. If you're watching December league, it's difficult to spot this formation, NPL, very rare. It's mostly 4 at the back because it's the basics of football and easy to learn and execute.

I think it's not a formation for rookie managers. As such, If Kounde is injured, I hope not, I'll rather we continue with 4 at the back even if it means playing Faye or Inigo at left back with Cancelo RB or Fort at RB with Cancelo at LB, or Araujo at RB with Curbasi & Inigo in the center. Just not a back 3.

We're coming up against a manager who's obsessed with possession football. With a back 3, we'll concede too much possession and remember that we defend better with the ball not without it!

Nagelsmann really improved Germany, I agree. But I also think Griezmann’s absence was felt, and they’ve lost a couple of influential players to either retirement or a football ban . Today they only had Mbappe as the one capable of making something happen. Dembele is a proper dunce and Randal K. Muani is not up to scratch. Having a Pogba would’ve helped them exploit Germany’s defense better.
grin grin grin grin

We call him pea size brain but I'm afraid he may hurt Barca. As such, I won't comment further on the pea-size guy grin grin

Meanwhile, Yeah, Pogba, Meni and Greezman would've helped alot but it's still a friendly and Deschamps has played back to back world cup finals. They're still the favourites because of Mbape sha. Mbape is the reason!!!

It's not about today's game or May be I'm used to a different and more skilful Brazil teams. They're more physical than skillful and talent nowadays .
This is modern football in general.
You have to show intensity either by being ultra physical(Athletico Madrid) or by running nonstop and pressing like Liverpool.

Nobody cares about flair, skills etc. That's why players like Felix, Cunha are having issues. If you must show flair then you must show consistentcy by scoring and creating goals.

Like it or not, stats is everything now.

Honestly, they look like a shade of their older self. Corporate shoe marshaling the defense, Kroos controlling the midfield, Musiala tearing things up, and lazy Havertz converting a percentage of the chances that fall his way. They look … threatening.

But we have to admit that they faced a rudderless France with a misfiring attack line and an inexperienced midfield today.

It doesn’t take anything away from Germany’s win, but at the same time, it doesn’t tremendously elevate their embarrassing status nor turn them into automatic contenders.

Like you said, it makes the Euros more competitive, and I dare say, potentially more interesting. Considering the possible qualification of teams like Wales, it could be a tournament well worthy of looking forward to. England remains one of the favorites to lift that trophy.
In football, coaching is everything. Well, may be not literally everything but it's a very important aspect of the game. Germany under Flick will lose this game but with 80% possession.

Meanwhile, that's their starting midfield unless you include Greezman. In fact, only Greezman, Konate and Maignan were the notable absentees from their supposed gala 11.

Germany were without some of their top players too. Neur, Goretzka and Sane(not in form but still a top player)

Friendly or not, Germany were just better today which makes the euros even more spicy.

Coach is key.....

Revisionsm but....

That's why we love this game and why I love Xavi so much. He's a very smart man and a great man manager but a weak tactician. Not everyone can be like Pep. Alonso had to coach Socieda B. Arteta was assistant to Pep. Xavi, like Pirlo jumped straight to a top team and he's done well to his credit. In fact, even Pep had to coach Barca B, same with Enrique.

He's a man of his word and will leave at the end of the season when the ovation is loudest. He did same in 2015 and left with a treble.

When he leaves at the end of the season, I'll like to see him in some mid table teams where he can coach some of his errors out and become world class, he's got that potential. I hope he comes back though, great legend.

Farewell to him as we embark on this UCL journey!

Yeah, With everyone fit, Pedri should not start important games. Fitness should be the goal

A midfield 3 of Fdj, Xtensen and Gundo is okay., Fermin on that left position, where Felix plays and Yamal on the right.

Pedri can always come in to add more control. His goal right now should be his fitness. I wasn't really counting on him but just had to mention him.
