Use Fade Out or Bio Oil. Takes time, but works.

It is barbaric, it is the worst form of touture you can put a human being through. The parents that have this done to their children need to be hung, drawn and quartered.

BusinessRe: On Ebay: How to Prevent a Scammer From Bidding On My Auction? by Ollie39: 11:40pm On May 30, 2007
There are certain items that attract scammers on ebay. Items like mobile phones, ipods and the like. There is nothing you can do to stop them as they have accomplices over the world. Even if you restrict the countries you can ship to, block those without paypal etc etc. They can always get around it. The only thing you can do is to stop selling items that attract them or you will keep losing money by way of listing and FVFees.

Do not send to Nigeria because there is no genuine Nigerian buyer on Ebay. They are all scammers. Just read the community boards and you will see the extent of the fraud carried out by Nigerians on ebay/paypal. Don't hink you will get any help from Ebay or Paypal, as long as they get their money they couldn't give a hoot about you. If you do contact them all they send back is generic, automated nonsense that does not offer any help.

Paypal payments, even from verified and confirmed addresses is not safe despite what people think. I once sold items totaling about 350 pounds to a buyer with a confirmed and verified paypal account and they paid instantly. I always transfer payments immediately to my bank account. Which I did on this ocassion. The next day I sent the buyer an email confirming that I had posted items by special delivery including the postal reference. 2 hours later, I got an email from paypal stating that they are holding the payment pending inquiries. The buyer had filed a chargeback!!.  As I had transfered the money my paypal account was in negative. As expected paypal found for the buyer and demanded I restore my account to credit. This was despite the fact that I had forwarded all the emails I exchanged with this buyer and also posted by online trackable means.

I told Paypal to get lost and that I will never restore my account. I told them that I will not be needing an account anymore. I was a very sucessfull powerseller with over 9000 positive feedbacks and a 99.8% rataing. I closed my shop and stopped selling. They bombarded me with phone calls and emails threatening to transfer the debt to collectors. I said, 'be my guest'. I dared them to take me to court and that I will be able to expose their complicity with scammers and get compensation for their harrassment.

The long and short of it is that ebay/paypal do not care about sellers, once a buys complains you see them jumping over hoops to listen. The level of scams going on in these 2 places is astronomical. It is a good place to make money as you are selling to the whole world and you can make extremely good money but in the end I counld not deal with the hassle anymore.

TravelRe: Experience With Immigration When Traveling With Our Nigeria Passport by Ollie39: 10:59pm On May 29, 2007
Fraud, drugs etc spring to most of these immigration officers mind when they see a green passport. Who will blame them? It is a few rotten apples that made it so.

Some people might have sailed through but the fact remains that a Nigeran passport raises a big RED flag when it is presented be it while travelling or as a means of identifiction. You have to prove you are kosher.  They ask all sorts of questions and require everything short of a DNA test. cry cry

PoliticsRe: 99% Of Nigerians Are Corrupt And Dubious by Ollie39: 6:16pm On May 20, 2007
Corrupt and Dubious!! I agree those and more are the words I would associate with majority of Nigerians, it is so endemic that I believe that it will take hundreds of years to purge it from the psyche of the typical Nigerian.

This has nothingto do with poverty because the wealthiest are the most corrupt.

Take Babagngida for instance, he was not satisfied with what he looted in the past and wanted to come into govt again to finish off what he started - oloshi!!
TV/MoviesRe: Ini Edo the Best? by Ollie39: 5:54pm On May 17, 2007
Ini is young, a natural beauty and does not try to fake an accent like a lot of other actresses. I love her gravelly voice, it makes her stand out. She can really act. I always watch any film she is on.

TravelRe: Is Aba Unsafe For Expats? by Ollie39: 8:59pm On May 14, 2007
xtycod:
If you love a hustle-free life and clean environment, take the Enugu option. You have at least two establishments where you will find expats from Europe/ US: The British council has a big office in Enugu, and the Nigerian Breweries PLC (affiliated to Heineken of Holland), which has its largest brewery in the whole of Africa in Enugu. Enugu is a university town, being the town with the second highest number of higher educational institutions after Ogun State. For your info, both Aba and Enugu are safer than Lagos. And if Nigeria wants to save Lagos from the impending implosion from human population, they should begin to somehow ''force'' investors, both foreign and local, to spread to other parts of the country, especially the East (there are sea ports in Calabar, Onne and PH) and also the North. Everything Lagos, Lagos, yet it is the dirtiest and most run-down city in the world
I couldn't agree more!
