All I am saying is this: be a good and virtuous woman, it's more honorable than being a contentious, nagging woman.

Same with men, be good guys, being good as a man or woman pays.

This world is already on fire, let's save it from burning further by making our relationships, marriages and homes a peaceful, loving place by being good.

Every man must not be rich, so if u marry a not-so-rich man, love him and be happy, things can change tomorrow for good, don't kill him with nagging and complaints!

Every woman must not be as pretty as Kim K, so guys if u marry a woman who isn't as pretty, love her....u can even help her discover her lost beauty and she will become beautiful with time.

So my sister, if u are a virtuous woman, keep it up, if u are not, start now to work towards becoming one and reduce your expectation from men....expect less from your man and pray for him
That one you had to quote ..... Virtuos woman? I laugh in Swahili.

Bro nice points by the way.

Happy Easter

Cos you actually don't have a life. Tomorrow, the next day after tomorrow and every other day you will still be here on Nairaland jumping on every thread with bitterness.

Try and get busy kid.... Get more clients outside your locality.... Suck more dic*ks so as to get going. You need a life.... How long are you going to continue like this?

I said it! You can always trust some threads on Nairaland to help you puke out your lunch already embarassed.

Must all life thrive on mono-causalist themes? If the OP was guilty of "mis-yarning", I would've expected superior logic, keener articulation and broader perspectives from his self appointed persecutors but what do I get?

Too many insecure wimps hiding behind keyboards to hurl abuses, curses and innuendos at the slightest provocation and a lot of brainless twats ready to kick heads in without provocation too? Haba, where is the L.O.V.E? Is this not supposed to be an educative forum amongst other things?

OP posted his opinion. If you have better light to shed on it, then do so in a civil way that we can all benefit from. If not, get off his post instead of dragging the thing gradually into a war of words and name calling.

Abeg, the sheer numbers of mannerless off-tangent cotton-headed scoffers on this forum is not only reflective of how far Nigeria has to go but also of the quality of the so-called "thinkers" we have here claiming Nigerian descent. It's not enough to blame Buhari, Jonathan or whoever but it pays to look inwards before you start pointing fingers all over the place.

Simple intellectual discourse, people nor fit manage. Oyah, come trade points for points make we make headway, dem no fit. Na only abuses and curses dem sabi, like toothless village witches. Carry go, Wailers Congress, just remember #diarriss God!
bro welcome to Nairaland where once you have a different view you are termed a male chauvinist. They lack superior argument and the best they will do is just attach you with bitterness and anger.

The children of hate actually have no job.... Chief amongst them is daretodiffer
who is always on Nairaland 247 trying to insult anyone who has a different opinion and she claims to school in Scotland. Yeye dey smell.

Here is what going happen, another woman would be beating because an idi.iot believed that it is only way to gain control. Your daughter would undergo process, she might also get off from being pummelled like a none..ntity.

And the cycle will keep going on and on because some foo..ls have decided not to understand their environment
And the foolish whor*e who has no job other than to be sucking white dic*ks here in Scotland claims to understand her environment... Wonders shall never cease to happen.

Where in the Original post did the op support woman beating? You claim to be a student get you lack reading and comprehension skills.... Which school in Scotland do you actually attend cos I doubt you actually have a real life in Scotland.

Instead of defeating the ops post with superior argument you ended up jumping on the thread as usual with bitterness and insults. Sighs

You need a life outside Nairaland.

My brother, that particular girl has mental issues. She is well known on Nairaland with different monikers such as doveda, daretodiffer.

She is obviously one of those junk gals I see on the street of Scotland who smoke, drink, take drugs etc. Her life must definitely be very bitter and the only place she tries to seek attention is Nairaland.

Just check all her threads on Nairaland, she is always bitter and full of hate. How can any normal person be like this? She needs help urgently. I pray her parents effort over her does not end up been a waste.

Even the feminists on Nairaland don't jump on all threads with hate like she does.

Bro my advice for you is just ignore her. She just have not been sent back home to Nigeria just yet for deliverance sessions.

naijamark:
Please, buying fx with form A is not and has never been at CBN rate. You're charged at the bank rate. Simply put, they bid for fx at CBN for you with your Naira, then sell (transfer, you never get to see the money) to you at their own rate. You will also be charged for telex and commission which are not "close to nufn". Please get the facts right before posting.
Thanks for giving a different view to the point earlier raised. So please from your own knowledge of how it works, like how much will the exchange rate be like for pound compared to the black market rate if my cousin decides to use the Form A? and please what is the best method of payment for fees for a student coming to the UK?

cheers

agarawu23:
sir
I don't know if you are talking about before, but presently, FG clearly told us CBN forex (form A) isn't available for students abroad anymore.

You will need to queue for weeks if not month before they help u send 1000$ and don't expect CBN rate 198 . The fastest way is to buy your dollar and send or buy from the bank with any rate they give u plus commission.

Cc :olowob
Thanks Agarawu, but do you think banks still sell dollars? thats almost impossible and the current black market rates are not favourable.
if my cousin can even get the naira for around 320-350 for pounds, he will be happy.

@creamyworkz, the Form A option you used, did you do it of recent? does bank still help out currently?

sorry to bother you.
TravelRe: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by OlowoB(m): 3:35pm On Mar 25, 2016
creamyworkz:
Yea it does, maybe with a lil extra bank commision which is close to nufn. Just go to any bank preffereable one wch you have an account with, and request for form A they'll give you the form, you fill it and return, after which they'll process it. depending on how fast they are able to get forex from cbn, the school myt recieve it in one week or so. d rate was around 287 d last time my coz did it. it myt be lesser now. bt note that Form A can only be used to pay directly to d schools account either school fees or accomodation(if the person lives in a school owned apartment) .
Thanks for your prompt response.

what if the person does not have an account with the bank, can someone pay on his behalf? Actually the cash is not in my cousins account so the money will be transferred from his sisters account who has the cash. In other words, the sister is the person who will be requesting for the form A and probably filling it on his behalf. I hope it is possible?

Bank with the lowest rate still remains stanbic ibtc. bt then with the cbn rules, i doubt if you can use atm to pay school fees cos the daily cummulative limit is less than 250dollars or so. form A will do justice to school fees payment
Hello sir, please how does form A work? I have a cousin who wants to come to the UK for studies this September and we are trying to look for how to get CBN rates which will be cheaper. Does the Form A process make use of the CBN official exchange rate? your response will be appreciated.

Please any other person who knows about the Form A can also make suggestions on how to go about it.

During service I keep telling my friends there is no job out there. I prepared for the worst situation. I the last 3months of my service, I began to find out possible things I can do to earn me income and also have my time. I never put my hopes on the good result I have or on my good grades. I asked myself, what can I do without using my result or nysc certificate? That's when I began to get a clear revelation.

I am now an employer of myself. I get money to pay my bills and start a new life outside the family and even pay the bills of my younger ones. If a bank should call me today to pay me 90k, I won't go or even take it as a favour because I enjoy what I do and it is also paying my bills.

I gym in the morning to build up myself before going for business of the day. I can decide to reschedule my appointments @ my own will. I have time to eat good food & even hand-out with some of my girlfriends.

I keep focusing on my business line till I get a federal job.
nice one bro, i like hearing stories like this. If you don't mind me asking, what business do you do?

Very true. Well I'll advice you to look inwards as to what need is there in your area (could be school or at home). Just think of any business you can easily tell someone to do for you which will require little monitoring.

I really don't know much about the north so I don't know the business idea to suggest for you. Just look around and package your idea well and you are good to go.

Finally, don't be in a rush to start up a business just cos you have money in your account ..... Don't be deceived, business is not as easy as they make it look online. Carry out enough research fit as long as you wish. It is better you have your cash in your account smiling at you than for you to rush and make a big mistake.
On the other hand, I want to also congratulate you cos this is also the best time in your life to take risk .....even if the business does not go as planned, you will learn and move on ( luckily, you are still young ).

All the best.

How you doing mate? Are you schooling in Unilag? Reason I asked is cos I finished from unilag as a pharmacist and I know very well that pharmacy is a very demanding course and so therefore I would not advise you to do any business in school.

I would say wait till final year (500l) before attempting to venture into any business. 300l and 400l is the most difficult aspect of pharmacy with all the microbiology, clinical pharmacy and pharmacology courses (not also forgetting pharmacognosy)

You made mention of putting a family member to oversee the business? Hmm. Well it is a risk but if you have decided to go ahead with the idea then, I'll advise you to tell your brother to look at the environment he stays... No need to look far. What can be do within that environment he stays? There in lies your solution... No amount is too small to start up a business..... Starting small is very good.

Speaking of unilag, are you in luth? Cos I am also thinking of setting up a game centre inside luth ..... I think the former game business centre has been closed.

If you are in luth, pm me.

GamingRe: Is Video Game Business Illegal In Nigeria? by OlowoB(m):

Hi,

Your thread is quite helpful but I have a couple of questions though;
1. How do I set price for adventure games. I mean its easy to set 50 bucks for most games (a game of soccer at roughly 10mins or a session of Call of Duty since its easy to set time in most of the modes except Campaign. Mortal Kombat can be priced per round). All these are easy to price but some other gamers might want to enjoy God of War, COD Campaign Modes, Drake's Fortune, Assassins Creed, or Phanthom Pain. The value customers will enjoy in this games is a direct function of how long they spend holding the pad. So, how do we price.

2. Second question. Am only about to set up my own Game Center and am interested in knowing how to best manage and control the players time since am trying to start with 4 game stations. Is it better to use the TV timer function or manually look at each game and physically stop the player when the time is up. The difference between these too options is that the player who now has to drop pad has no choice since the TV has gone off on its own as opposed to him arguing with the manager or begging for extra time. Is there any other option.

Please advice!
Hello

I run a game centre, highly profitable but challenges in city I am currently is lack of electricity, I barely face police challenges because I do not allow minors. The only time I face challenges was when one of my useless neighbour claimed one of my customer was responsible for destroying one of his property and he even claimed they used to smoke weed in front of my shop late at night. For the weed matter, na kukuma true but dem don quit
When we eventually landed at police station, they want to claim was illegal but I told them, its highly legal, because my mouth sabbi talk wella and we are in civilized world in which they know themselves and I also claimed why can't they go and raid silverbird but they claimed they didn't arrest for business purpose but for the neigbour complain claimed about me habouring a criminal(imagine that). Then I told the Inspector, that's what the next thing, I should close for him and go to the street, and continue rugged life, but you people rest assure that I run a clean and smooth business with no minor and no school uniform even though I allowed uniform between 2 to 5 pm only

No matter the challenges in any business, as long as its legal, cast your fear away and run your business, you are not going to be jail for this. Even the police told me not to allow minor and stop my customer for loitering , they even said they knew the neigbour are bad belle people but they have to do their job even if they report again. I runs by biz smoothly and warn my boy to keep to the rule because I don't stay there.

..In this kind of business...
Your neigbour might be your number one enemy but to avoid them, simply avoid minors and stop your customer from loitering, don't allow the school uniform during the day and if eventually you mistakenly landed in police custody, just get one of their DPO number, call him on the threats against your business and play safe, you cannot be lock except your neigbour thrown heavy allegation against you
@born2fuck maximum respect.......

I know you have a game centre.....

Infact i will like to relate with you outside this thread. i'll send you pm now. i do hope you will respond to your email.
