"jemila won't you wake up and go make the pap?,what is wrong with you, I told you to wake up by 4AM"

He strained his head through the small opening in the long corridor, Jemila was still sleeping.although Jemima heard, she pretended as if she didn't and even gave out a loud snore, something is happening to their father these days, he looks optimistic more than before, often lonely, regretful and dejected. But Atere probably knows anyway Jemila heard him.

"I'm bringing koboko now, will you not stand up right now and go and make the pap".
Jemila groaned, she moaned and cursed silently about those people that always disturb "someone's sleep"
Her weakness was always the koboko, she hated being thrashed by that friggly cane sold by those wandering Molla, she stood up sluggishly from her ragtag mat and walked slopply to the backyard which is now called "kitchen "

"you lazy young man"
Atere slapped his son badejo from sleep.
"what now"
Badejo hissed and shouted at his father.
"you, ehn, sleep again let me see, I will use the koboko on you, you irresponsible young person, are you not suppose to be the one supervising everything in this house? All you do is eat, always waiting for Jemila to do everything, have you no shame?"

"and so what?,leave me
alone jo,somebody want to receive curse this morning "

"are you talking to me that way, bi ikun lo ni oko ni bi takute ni,emi atie joo wa ni enue? If you like yourself, grab the pails now and go and fetch water "

Badejo hissed loudly again.
"you cant do anything".

He still went to fetch the water anyway, failure to do so means no food for the day.Jemila shaked her head and hiss, she is growing tired of the incessant quarrels between her brother and father.
"All this is happening because there is not enough money"

alBHAGDADI:
https://www.nairaland.com/4064473/what-muslims-belief-concerning-jesus

Dear Nairaland,

I came across the above thread on Front Page stating what Muslims believe about my Lord Jesus Christ. It was put on front page on a Friday, a day pro-islamic threads make front page. What bothers me is that the thread spoke things about my Father and Saviour which are contrary to what I know of him. The sad part is that I couldn't correct those things cos Islamic threads are locked away from non-muslims who can only comment if they swear an Islamic creed. That is why I decided to create this thread to put to correction all those things said about my Father, just as a son would. I will appreciate it if the Moderators move this thread to front page this Sunday in the spirit of fairness.

Points from the thread are in quote.

First and foremost, Easa is not the name given to the Messiah we Christians believe in. His real name is Yahshua. The Bible says he comes in his Father's name (Mathew 23:39). Yahshua means Yahweh's Salvation. Easa doesn't carry such meaning.

Yes, he was a prophet but not a slave talk less of being a slave of Allah. He is the son of the Living God YAHWEH who called him his beloved Son.

Mathew 17:5

... He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice
from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son , with whom I am well pleased ...

If by Easa you mean Jesus/Yahshua, then you are wrong. Tell me how many men can raise the dead? Those that do that today so it in his name. How many men ressurected from the dead as they promised they would? Those that do that today testify of how he resurrected them. How many perform healing as he did? Those that do today so it in his name.

Saying God has to have a wife before having a son is similar to limiting God's powers. If you believe that the God who created heaven and the earth, humans and animals etc needs a wife before he can have a son, then it's best you stop believing he created all those things.

Islam's denial of Jesus being the son of God who is Father has rendered the religion a LIAR and an Antichrist religion.

1 John 2:22

Who is the LIAR? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the ANTICHRIST--denying the Father and the Son.
religion, religion and religion and Nigeria is a shithole!

Sorry to burst ur bubble, A very large chunk of SW votes for PDP came from igbos especially in Lagos. The number of igbos in the SW numbers in multi millions don't even go there, don't even try to count 100% of SW votes as yoruba votes.

And wat makes u think it's only in SW that a man n wife might vote 2 different parties in an election, u have to try n move out to know what's attainable elsewhere.

Yoruba made it very very clear that they won't vote GEJ in the 2015 presidential elections and they made their threat come alive too. They had Osinbanjo who was a redeemed pastor n many voted for buharis apc because of that.

I repeat if the SE n SS are minorities, then they would have lost by @ least 7 million votes or even more.

'''' A vital bloc in the North helped GEJ in 2011 and he stupidly lost them in 2015''''

The north was pdp in 2011, that's why they voted for gej in 2011, because GEJ refused to step side for a Northerner to return to power, a good number of Northern governors decamped to apc n generally the north which was predominantly PDP switched to Apc in order to get power back.

GEJ didn't lose anyone stupidly.
yeap all those pdp votes in Oyo osun ekiti and Ogun are Igbo votes...

Alcatraz005:
Ok now i would address the concerns of ODvanguard, ereolamide, cabal, bibi and Goke who i presume are yorubas. I am from Ogun State, Abeokuta precisely and i have lived all my life in Lagos. My two best friends from University who i trust with my life are muslims and i love them to the bone. Also, my best friend in the office isd a muslim and although, we disagree on some matters of principle, we love and trust each other to a reasonable. Contrary to the impression that i might have created that i hate muslims, i dont and i have never been hurt by any muslim before be it Yoruba or Hausa. However, i have cause for serious concern for Nigerian Christians as the global terror and quest for World domination expressed by the Muslim Ummah has made hitherto liberal Christians weary of their safety and religious freedom in a fast changing World. Needless to say that the liberal muslims have done or nothing to roll back the progress of extremists in their midst. All we have seen are feeble condemnations which has not stopped the Jihad being waged against Christians the World over.

On the homefront, Boko Haram has killed upto 30,000 Christians and destroyed churches and properties worth Billions of Dollars thereby displacing both Christian and Muslims from their homes. At the onset of the insurgency, Christians were the main target but as time went by, the muslims also began the brunt of the carnage of adherents of this beautiful religion. Southerners in Nigeria were at the onset unperturbed at the happenings in the North but certain events have forced them to propagate ideas which ensure that they would be safe. Specifically, Christians in Yorubaland have cause to be worried by the rise to prominence of certain groups like MURIC headed by a certain Yoruba man, in fact a Professor called Akintola {cant remember first name} and he is also the Secretary General of NSCIA. He has at numerous times come out to defend intolerable acts committed by members of the islamic Faith and this is a source of great fear for Yoruba Christains.

We also have Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the Secreatary General of Jamaaltu whatever {cant remember}, he also doubles as the Registrar of Jamb {Joint Admission and Matriculations Board. He also expresses what is in the view of many, extreme views which worries millions of Christians of Yoruba Extraction{Although it muted in order to present a unified front}. The events that occurred in Osun State is also notable in the sense the Osun Governor made it seem that a predetermined or orchestrated plot was being executed to seize missionary Christian Schools from its adherents. The reason i am stating all these is for the world to know the fears of millions of Christians. I would not detered in my quest to sensitize my people and jolt them from the slumber of being apolitical and aloof to what goes on around them.

I am not oblivious that the authorities who at this moment mainly comprise of the very same people who want to change our way of Life. For example, i usually listen to Jimi Disu who professes to be a converted Christian but usually supports this administration in its divisive actions and rights violation of citizens who practice alternate religions. The scare tactic of gagging those with differing opinions and views as purveyors of hate speech would not work in this democracy. We would not look away while the rights of Nigerian christians are being violated at will. I can always operate from the deep web if it so happens that online commentaries on forums such as Nairaland are being monitored by the authorities. We are in the 21st century and there is a limit to how citizens' freedom of expression can be monitored or gagged. It is not like majority of Nigerian online commentors/activists are involved in the narcotics tarde or sale of firearms on the deep web as it obtains in the developed world. We are only asking that all citizens be treated equally and that justice takes root in Nigeria. The current administration has disappointed a lot of people and it is very frustrating to see that some people still support it due to hate for a certain tribe/religion.

I still have a lot to say but i have very little time. My brothers should read and reflect deeply on some of the things i have said on this thread in order to realise why there are so many agitations in the country especially under this adminitration. Safe. undecided
you are an idiot..so d opinion of individuals u mention suddenly bind all Muslims in d west?

Is aregbesola who wanted to take over schools and allow kids with hijab overrun our schools not Muslim?

We have genuine fears and nobody should shut up. People like FFK and Fayose speak out the innermost fears of Yoruba Christians!

Take your time to read this short fact and you'll understand the Biafra struggle and Ipob didn't start because of Buhari but due to the injustice and marginalisation of the Igbo's even after the war. Nnamdi Kanu and Ipob has been in existence since 2012 but the Jonathan govt ignored him. But the social injustice against the igbos become more pronounced in the Buhari administration.

The former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has called on the federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari to exercise restraints in the issue of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu. Fani Kayode made this known in his twitter handle on Saturday, September 2.

He said: "I learnt that more soldiers and police have been deployed to the SE and SS to prepare for the re-arrest of Nnamdi Kanu. For the final time I urge the FG to be restrained. You cannot fight 2 wars on 2 fronts all at once. Nnamdi Kanu is bigger than Buhari. He is a real lion.

What do you have to say about this.

I'll advice the Sultan to Channel his energy to promoting Social justice and equality within the Nigeria state.
The quits notice backfired that's why everyone in the North is beating a retreat. They have come to terms with reality that 2017 is not 1967.
so the solution is secession right?
who actually isn't even marginalised in this country sef.
so that Yoruba pensioner In Oyo state who is denied gratuity is not being marginalised abi?

Every Nigerian who is not a politician or does not benefit from them is marginalised not only igbos.

The problem is u guys have created this Utopian Biafra nation where everything is smooth and incredibly perfect...d reality is every nation in d world has its challenges.

how can the problem of Nigeria be solved when the youths who should lead the fight are more interested in ethnicity and tribalism bragado...
