Politics › Re: Why Ridicule Tinubu Over Edo Election Outcome? by Olril18(m): 10:34pm On Sep 22, 2020 |
Thelimitbreaker: In the aftermath of the just concluded Edo State governorship elections, tongues have angrily bickered towards a man called Tinubu. I'm not here to support him but i'm only here to succintly address some issues here. First and foremost, you can't be throwing puerile jabs at Tinubu in the disguse of the slogan "Edo no be Lagos" and you expect him to be looking at Obaseki that way. He only released the video as a result of Obaseki's actions and inactions towards him. Obaseki and other politicians juvenilely celebrating now also have gigantic skeletons in their cupboards. What many of you don't know is that the reason why most Yorubas love him is that although he is not perfect but he has atleast delivered where it matters most. He was part of the founding fathers of APC, and you expect him not to talk in issues that involves his party, you must be day-dreaming then. Tinubu is indeed not perfect and may have some flaws but he's still better than others when improvement and progress is needed in a matter. sheey e yaa werey sha? which most Yoruba love tinubu? ori yin to gbale sir.. |

geosegun: You know what pains you? Because your political and ethnic region lacks a leadership structure that Tinubu seemed to be pioneering in SW. This make the SW has the influence the your region lacks and wish to have? This is the truth. Is it Tinubu that will construct road in my Town? What are you even saying... I am positive you do not have enough exposure for you to have responded in that manner. Instead of you to channel your anger to your so called political money bags in your region. You keep wailing over the leadership of a region that never concerns you. You wail just because of your innate envy and jealousy of the SW region.
Name just one politician, in your region, that does anything different and better than what Tinubu is doing in the SW currently. Most of your politicians are money bags with no iota of vision. odee |

Kriely: It’s either Nigerians are dumb or they just want to Twist anything that comes with BUHARI.
Chief of Staff is a position that holds more importance than the VP. Only in the absent of the President is the VP more powerful than the COS.
COS handles everything that concerns the appointees of the President. He’s in charge of getting reports from the The ministers then channel it to the President.
This is due process in the whole world.
Wailers are either STUPID or DUMB!!!! lol..you talk of wailers, but you are actually the one wailing...you are either stupid or dumb. |

They should have asked Tinubu to start soon feeding every Yoruba man?.
Hate him or Love him He is one of the political strategists in Africa in recent times.
Did you realise he has been the only politician creating and building politicians from the scratch? Look at most active and performing politicians in SW. He makes them by God.
That's what some people never liked about home. But the truth is if one want to makes a positive impact in real life. You have to be a true leader by building and helping people as you grow. tell me what SW has and all the other region lack that a yoruba man should be proud of? lets start from your own hometown, tell us your town in yorubaland, and snap pictures of the worldclass roads in there and all other wonderful things tinubu leadership has brought your town. he build politicians from scratch? or you are meant to say he build thieves like him and unleashed them at d right time on the region. thieves who are so uninnovative they owe salary and pensions and leave huge debt behind..and leave infrastrutural deficit for their state. I must have forgotten we pick gold on the streets of SW. |

Everybody seems to know the problem of Nigeria but can't proffer any solutions, Tinubu slave?? Hahaha you would have to do better than this slavery rant. I have asked and I would ask again, if Tinubu dies today, would the SW suddenly become eldorado? The Problem with the SW is that like your father before you, all you do is complain and never participate. What is the name of your LGA chairman? Your senator? Tinubu supports all the bastardss to be governors.. is he doing it for free without hope of getting something in return? he pushes his personal agenda and fraudlently labelled it "yoruba agenda" although I agree his death will not solve anything, that's because yoruba are a confused ethnicity who have sold their past, present and future to politicians. and pls what has my father got to do with this discussion. pls respect yourself. |

kayceman: Tinubu as far as I am concerned has done far better than all the politicians we currently have. Though, he has his own shortcomings. He governed Lagos state for 8 years and developed human capacity, which can be revered to as Human Capital Development (HCD). Atleast 90% of the commissioners worked under Tinubu in Lagos state has held positions in higher level of governance than any other states commissioners in Nigeria today. Most of them have become governors, ministers, senators and held positions at the the federal levels including the current vice President. (courtesy of Tinubu). He uplifts people under him compared to other politicians that has been ruling since 1999. I have never met him personally neither any of my family members have directly benefitted from him. So nobody should think am defending him because of that. But in reality, He is far above board compared to others we know. It is now left for those people he uplifted to now develop the Southwest, by extension Nigeria. There is an adage that says you can take a horse to the river, but can't force the horse to drink water. lol..does he uplift them for free? we all know they do pay their price when due |

Nowenuse: You are actually someone who is naturally full of bitterness and hatred. So you need to actually work on yourself if you will progress in life.
First of all, I guess I shouldn't have used the word 'many', perhaps just 'some'. I never said all Edo people have nupe ancestry, but I said there are many Edo people who do. This includes my in-law and her clan. She is from South Ibie, from the Azellamah family. They are of Nupe origin as well as many others. The caliphate through mostly the Nupes and fewer Hausa-fulanis brought islam to Edo north.
Almost all the tribes of Edo north actually came from Benin kingdom, I never disputed that with you! The fact that a tribe descends from somewhere does not mean that centuries after, everyone in that tribe still has that ancestry. More people from different places could have settled with that tribe and integrated. This is where I am coming from. The person I quoted with my comment was talking about how many Edo people answer Nupe names and I came in, yet you just choose to rush in with bitterness without understanding where I am coming from. my nairaland favorite poster...did u study history in sch? |
Politics › Re: The Full List Of All The 371 Tribes In Nigeria by Olril18(m): 10:59pm On Aug 20, 2019 |
Deadlytruth: You are an ignoramus of gargantuan proportions. Etsakos were a clan in the ancient Benin Kingdom who had to migrate out of it in protest of harsh treatment meted out to them by the reigning king at that period. No Edo people are of Nupe Origin. Cut that dirty crap. In one line you claim Afemais are of Nupe origin. In another line you claim that their being captured as slaves by Nupes led to the introduction of Nupe names to them. How could Nupe names have to later be introduced to a people who were supposedly already of Nupe origin from the beginning? Can't you see that your stories are not adding up? You think the name "Afemai" actually defines every ethnicity in Edo North? It is actually an Etsako appellation but loosely applied to the Senatorial District just for political expediency. Edo North is not an ethnically homogeneous area at all. Stop peddling ignorance. Another evidence of your ignorance is the claim that the spread of Islam ended in Agbede. There are actually indegeous moslems in Ewu which is further south of Agbede. Mr. Man, you know nothing about Edo State. I will advise you to keep off issues concerning the place so you won't continue to embarrass yourself in a public forum. I like reading your posts cos its usually informative. but the hate in them is usually too much.. |

WiLdFLame: now I see you don’t know anything about southwest. Come 2023 the Yoruba nation will be locked down for APC. Large blockvotes that will scare everyone . This is the firsttime the south west will be working really hard with power , strategy and investment in to getting the presidency. 2023 will be just like 1993 in terms of votes u guys are so funny..sw isn't on lockdown for Apc..and you know it too we don't give blockvotes in SW and that's the reality. no party in SW will get 60 percent winning, talk more of 80. you sound as if you have sampled opinion of all people in SW.. lol |
Politics › Re: El-rufai Opens The Battleground For 2023 Presidency by Olril18(m): 11:35pm On Aug 15, 2019 |
LegendHero: You are totally correct tho.
Osinbajo will get 85% vote or more in the SW but I’m afraid of the core north vote.
Fashola will get the 85% vote or more also in SW and will get more vote than an Osinbajo in the north by normal reasoning.
Tinubu is too powerful, some northern cabals might even want to work against him coz they wouldn’t want someone that powerful as the president. Although this argument is left to debate. Sw will never give a candidate 60 percent, talk more of 85...we have moved past that era.. |
