We don tire o. We don't even know the oga and the employee.
Everybody dey carry shoulder at what or whose expense.
The students of course.
ASUU members will collect their full arrears before resumption.
The fight is now in the interest of ASUU members and not the students or the country and I don't blame them.
May God have mercy on Nigeria.

EducationRe: Only First Class & 2:1 Graduates Will Be Employed As Teachers - FG by oluade11: 8:58am On Nov 15, 2020
Why? The others should go and die!! It is true that the best should be recruited as teachers but that you made first class and 2:1 does not make you the best in Nigeria.

It only means you understand the system very well and know how to play your game.
Nigeria is not ripe for the above.
It will only empower the lecturers the more to exploit the students who are desperate to leave with upper.
Lastly, if oil company industries, teaching and all want first class and second class upper, what is government plan for the rest.

Nairaland GeneralGraduates and social intervention programmes by oluade11(op):
Please, on the graduate internship placement programme packaged by Lagos State government, I have somebody who wrote the exam and it was not funny.

The questions were so tiny and mainly graphs.

The time was so short and the questions tough.
To me, it is as if the government doesn't want to pass the assessment.

The lady bungled the test and was told she can take it again after seven days.

She has been trying since after the seven days elapsed but to no avail. She was not given the option of writing again in her GIPP account

Help! What is she missing.

To us at Fob Empowerment Initiative, the above is just a way the government is demoralizing the unemployed and killing the remaining self esteem in them.

Everybody needs job anf has to eat. The best I believe have been employed already by public and private sectors and the majority of the unemployed graduates left are the average and those below average.

Yet, the questions are so tough even the first class graduates can't pass it at first sitting. It is as if they are not meant to pass and majority of those that pass would cut corners!!

The federal government n-power aptitude test was better and more realistic but the shortcoming of that one was age limit.

There are many undergraduates in the higher institutions that are older than 35 years. They were cut off because of age even after passing the aptitude test!!

Where should they go or to whom should they turn to if the federal and state government rejected them.

Is it the private sector that will absorb them.

The truth is there will always be 3rd class and pass graduates hat are older than 35 & 40 years who also look forward to working or being empowered to survive in the Nigerian economy or are they not supposed to eat and live as well!!.

The government should always put them into consideration in their Empowerment and social intervention schemes.

Dream and dreaming is a gift from God.

But then, it is not enough to dream!!!

The main work is making the dream a reality!!

If we look around us, we see fulfilled dreams: the computer, electricity, aeroplane, microphone, vehicles, ship and so on.

The irony is there are many more unfulfilled and unrealized dream in the grave than the ones we see around us!!

Imagine what the world would have been of all those dreams were realized!

Just imagine!

The big question is what is going to your dream?

That dream inside of you or the one you use to have but have given up on!

Are you going to the grave with it or are you going to realise it and help make the world a better place.

The choice is yours!!!

At Fob Empowerment Initiative, we help make your dreams a reality!!

Only believe.

Dream my brother, dream my sister, dream, dream, dream.

It is free to dream, so
dream.

It is a free gift from God.

Dream, see yourself attaining your life goals or ambition.

Do you want to be a pilot, see yourself in aviation school, see yourself driving plane. See yourself the best pilot in the country.

Do you want to own chains of companies. Dream, see yourself setting up a factory. See your products all over the country and beyond.

See yourself starting a second and third.

Dream, see yourself as Group MD.

Dream, see yourself as President of the country, see yourself going to school.

However, it is not enough to dream.

After dreaming, sit down, plan and strategize on how to realise your dream.

Every dream is realisable but requires determination, focus, passion and persistence.

Start from somewhere. Start from where you are. Just start.

Do you want to become President, go to school, join a political party, try to be active, read broadly, set goals of what you want to achieve when you become President.
Above all, believe in yourself.

You are not too young neither are you too old.
Learn from people like George Washington, Albert Einstein, President Buhari and many others who believe and persisted even while staring at failure in the face.

You can do it.

People believed and today we have the car, the aeroplane, the ships, the internet, the mobile phones and so on.

You can add your name to the list.

There is nothing you dream that you can not achieve.

If you can dream it, you can do it.
At fob initiative, we support you all the way in making your dream a reality.

We recruit, reorientate and empower you to live your dream.

Sam and Tom were identical twins. They were so identical that even their mother found it difficult to distinguish one from the other, at least during their initial days on earth.

However, they were very different from each other when it came to everything other than their appearance. Sam had no friends, while Tom was a great friendship maker.

Sam loved sweets, but Tom loved spicy food and detested sweets.

Sam was mommy’s pet and Tom was daddy’s pet.

While Sam was generous and selfless, Tom was greedy and selfish!

As Sam and Tom grew up, their father wanted to share his fortune equally amongst them.

However, Tom did not agree and he argued that whoever proved to be more intelligent and strong would have to get a bigger share of the wealth.

Sam agreed.

Their father decided to organize a competition between the two.

He asked the two sons to walk as long as they could, and return home before sunset.

The wealth would be divided in proportion to the distance covered.

As a rule of the competition, they were not permitted to carry a watch to keep track of the time.

The following day, Sam and Tom set out to walk.

It was a rather sunny day. Sam walked slowly and steadily, while Tom broke into a sprint as he was bent on winning the race and winning a greater portion of his father’s wealth.

Sam knew that it would be ideal to walk as far as possible until noon and start for home at noon as it would take the same amount of time to walk back home.

Knowing this, Sam decided to turn back for home at noon so as reach home on time.

However, Tom, with his greed to earn more wealth, did not attempt to return home even after mid-noon.

He walked twice as long as Sam and thought he would still be able to return home before sunset.

He hurried back when he saw the sun turn orange.

Unfortunately, he could not even make it half way home as the sun started to set.

Slowly darkness engulfed his path and he had to drag his tired feet back home.

He had lost the race because of his greed..

Tom is active ,loved by the father and social so he feels superior to his twin brother hence his selfish proposal.

Even if smarter, he was supposed to protect his brother & watch his back but it was the other way round.

Sam on the other hand was cool and composed.

He was quiet but intelligent. All these attributes helped him defeat the brother.

Considering his good nature, It won’t be a surprise if he still share the wealth equally with the brother.

The moral of the story is to never look down on anybody or opportunity.

It is not in energy, strength or activities that result or success is, it is in being smart and doing the right thing.

PoliticsGovernment, Civil Servants And Poverty by oluade11(op): 4:02pm On Nov 05, 2020
It is true that some MDA's of the federal government are well paid but the truth is the majority are poorly paid.

It is true that the government is the largest employer of labour in this part of the world, it is also true that the government is the largest custodian of poverty stricken workers.

While in some agencies, fresh graduates are earning as much as 250k and above, others are earning about 60k.

They have same qualifications, same employer but different agencies. It is based on connection mainly and sometimes merit.

The above is wrong.

Since they are all working for same employer, the salary scale should be similar though the allowances may differ a bit.

If you are able to enter some agencies, it is like travelling abroad! You are okay financially but if you are in most of the agencies and ministries, it is poverty and struggle to survive.

The salary of directors in most agencies is the salary of level 9 officers in agencies that are well paid.

While some workers are buying cars and building houses, many in their 35years cannot buy land ; how much more build house. And they have same qualifications and are citizens of same country.

The government need to do something about this.

Instead of the selective adjustment it is doing such as that of the teachers and now the police, the government need to adjust the salary of all it’s workers.
They are wallowing in poverty.

I know retired civil servant who after 30 to 35 years are still paying rent ad without vehicle.
Many have to start looking for jobs all over again such as security, messengers or drive okada and cabs when they are supposed to be resting after working so hard.
I don't think it is too much if government give out 1,2 and 3 bedroom flats to retiring officers who have committed 20 years and above of their life to serving their fatherland.
It will reduce corruption and encourage hardwork and honesty.

I would rather the government have ten staffs and pay them well rather than hundred of thousands of staffs all wallowing in poverty except few who can steal or are well paid.

The last minimum wage was a joke as the average worker ended u with between 5 to 15k increment!
The rate of inflation since then in everything from rent, to food, to transport, to utility bills makes the increment a big joke.

Many private organisation have universities as well and I have never heard that the lecturers are going on strike since the scale all across is reasonable.

The prolonged ASUU strike can be traced to issue of trust in the part of the lecturers.

Sadly, as soon as the government concede to ASUU demand, some other bodies or agencies will start their own.

The government should do the right thing which is to employ the number f staff it can cater for and pay them well.

My friend live in a compound with four main flat and one cubicle at the back.
The people living in the main building are mainly self employed while my friend, a senior officer with the federal government who has put in over ten years live in the cubicle with his family!

Tonight as I write, there is no public supply and all the flats powered their generators while my hard-working and honest friend doesn't have generator.
He is enjoying the noise from the other generator as they move around with the torch and enjoy the heat.
I shook my head sadly and ask myself the question;is this what it means to work with the government.
Does working with the government mean automatic poverty. Please help me.

Nairaland GeneralReorientation Of All The Military And Paramilitary. by oluade11(op): 9:42am On Nov 03, 2020
There is need to urgently restructure and reorientate all our military and paramilitary personnel.

They all behave as if they own Nigeria and treat the civilian populace like trash.

This include both the rich and the poor. Nobody is safe from their brutality.

The Nigerian army especially needs to be checked. Everywhere they are posted to serve and protect the nation border, assets and citizens, they end up brutalizing the people and harassing them. The rich, the poor, male, female, old and young. Nobody is exempted.

There is need to restructure, reorientate and carry out mental evaluation among them.

The army has nothing to do with the civilian. They should leave it to the police.

Enough of army brutality.

The federal government should do something about it.

The army are to defend and protect the integrity and well being of the nation. They should leave civil matters to the police.

This also applied to other military agencies.

People dread and fear them and it should not be so. They are supposed to be our friends and protectors. Anytime I see anyone in uniform especially green, I run and it should not be so.

We should not wait for another endsars, endnavy, or endarmy brutality before the federal government will take action.

God bless Nigeria.

Sir,
Thanks for all your government is doing especially with respect to the review of teachers and security personnel salary.

God bless you.

I , on behalf of the Media workers am using this medium to appeal to you to also review the Media workers salary as well.

They risk so much and work round the clock. They were working all through the covid-19 break and even the End-Sars protest.

They risk so much, yet they live in poverty.

They are so committed and patriotic that strike is always the last option.

Their loyalty and commitment should not and must never be taken for granted.

I am also appealing to All Nigerian youth to embrace peace.

We must always remember that power belongs to the people especially the youth and come 2023 at the polls, we will exercise our power and vote for our desired candidate.

God bless Nigeria.
PoliticsMothers Weeping & Would Not Be Comforted by oluade11(op): 8:10am On Oct 22, 2020
Mothers in Nigeria have been put into the state of excruciating agony since yesterday night when the news of the massacre of our unarmed children was being carried out by men of the Nigerian Military at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos. One could literally hear the cries of our children in the face of this terror. It reminds us of the killing of the innocent children of Israel, ordered by the wicked King Herod on hearing about the birth of the Child King Jesus.
“ A sound is heard in Ramah,
the sound of bitter weeping.
Rachel is crying for her children;
She refuses to be comforted,
for they are dead.”
So this is the face of the ‘operation crocodile smile’; the height of wickedness!
What the military could not achieve with the dreaded Boko Haram in the North is now being unleashed on our peaceful youths under the cover of darkness. They neither listened to their pleas nor respect the Nigerian flags being waved at them. All sane people will agree that this is the most well organized, classy and peaceful protest in the history of Nigeria. What a sad denouement the Nigerian Military has brought into it. Apparently the Nigerian army does not know that peaceful protests are legitimate tools in a democracy. It is actually the infiltration of the army into a civilian peaceful protest that is clearly wrong and illegitimate. We Mothers demand thatThe perpetrators and all those involved in this dastardly killings must be fished out soonest and dealt with accordingly. We demand to know who authorized the murder of these our children; who authorized switching off the electricity and the removal of the cctv cameras. We want to know the authority behind the introduction of hoodlums and thugs into the peaceful protests in Abuja, Lagos, Benin, Ibadan, Kano and so on.
We demand to know the exact no of casualties. There should be no cover up.
For the sake of one’s conscience, this piece cannot be complete without a few words for the Father of the Nation, Baba Muhammadu Buhari.
“Baba! Baba!! Baba!!!
Where are you? Baba, the whole world is waiting for you. You need to say something now. A father should not and does not remain silent when his children are being massacred.
These are the youths who organized massive peaceful protests against the government of President Jonathan and campaigned for your success in the two last Presidential elections. These are the young people shouting SAI BABA, SAI BUHARI all over the country. I know it BABA, because I was involved. These are the youths who voted massively for you in expectation for the ‘CHANGE ‘ you promised. My eyes filled up with hot tears at the thought that so soon you seem to have forgotten the priceless sacrifices of your children and indeed that of every Nigerian. It is however not too late. Reach out to your children; reach out to the affected families. Reach out to all Nigerians. Recognise the diversity of the country God has given you to lead and to serve. Restructure for justice, peace and progress.
Our condolences go to all affected families of these our children. May God console them and all of us. May Light Perpetual shine on the departed.
May the Blood of all the Martyrs of the #EndSARS peaceful protests break the yoke of bad governance in Nigeria and usher in a truly United States of Nigeria through Christ our Lord. Amen.

PoliticsVote Right! Let Your Vote Count For A Better Nigeria. by oluade11(op): 7:50pm On Feb 17, 2019
Nigeria is the only country we can call ours and lay claims to; at any other place we are second class citizens. There is need to be very objective as we prepare to go to the polls next week.
We must not allow sentiments to becloud our judgement.
We must think of the future and our progenies. It is not about the money we make today, it is about the future.
We must vote base on the future.
Yes, we must vote based on the prosperity of our nation.
The election has been shifted by a week. It is annoying and very painful. It has upset our plans and is very costly.
Yet, t is giving us another opportunity to reflect deeply in choosing the right candidate as we go to the poll this weekend
We need a God fearing, honest man with a large heart that has room for all. It is not about tribe, religion or our persal gain. It is about the future of our kids and the prosperity of our nation.
I love Sai Baba.
I am not saying you should or should not vote for him.
I am saying you should vote for the peace and prosperity of our land and the future of our kids.
Presently, the country is so sick!! Things have degenerated so badly. There is corruption at every strata.
The civil servant, the nurse, the lawyers, the judges, the teacher, the fuel attendant, the junk collctors, the police,The Road safety, the bus conductor, the okada rider, the fish and other traders in the arket, the politicians!!!
The list is endless.
The case is pathetic. It is so easy to point at others but what about you and me.
How do you make a living. Are your day to day expenses from your salary or from the fact that you can beat the system. Many even give returns to the superor officers.
The system has degenerated so badly. How can the country progress when everybody is for sale! You can do anything and get away with it once you have money.
An officer misbehave and you report to the superior but he give returns to the boss. You end up wasting your time and if you are no careful, you may be the culprit at the end.
Thank God we have a God-fearing leader at the top.
He arrest a corrupt officer and everybody ends up condemning him. He does not have the right; he has thieves around him; he is tribalistic!
None is asking if the guy actually steals. No one is considering the fact the fact that the system has one less thief no matter the side he or she is from.
We celebrate the thief and condemn the upright.
This administration is slow but crawling in the right direction.
We have one man standing against a cartel that are selfishly fighting to save what they have acquired at the expense of Nigerians. They talk about fighting for us but looking closely we see panic and desperation in their eyes because the war on corruption is getting close to them.
They are now hiding behind the Nigerian public inciting them against a man that is suppose to be our national pride. It is a gang up against progress, prosperity and the truth.
Things are the way they are because we have turned our back on the truth.
Kids in their teens and early twenties are making millions in the society and we are not questioning them to ask for the source of their wealth.
Lives has no meaning and value again.
We do the evil and blame the man at the top for not seeing and checking everything.
How will he know when the police is corrupt; the people at the court are corrupt, the bankers are on the payroll of these overnight millionaires.
The man at the top says if we can check corruption; many other things will fall into place yet we condemn him but he is right.
There is no drug in hospital yet money has been disbursed and the people that are suppose to raise alarm have been settled! Even at a point, Mrs Aishat Buhari had to raise alarm about the clinic at Asu-Rock. Lives have been lost to these factors. The contractors to build roads, import edibles, drugs and execute other project fails to do as paid and yet everybody is quiet because they have been settled!!
Lives arelost!!
The border is porous because the people to man it are smiling to the bank and only apprehend those that refuse to meet their terms!
Yet, we blame the man at the top.
Today, every Nigerians want to get out of the country.
The system is not working because the people put in place to manage the system are corrupt and are draining it. Things that work in every other country will not work in Nigeria and yet we blame the man at the top, protect the culprit and continue to complain.
The man at the top is only a man like you and me!
For the system to work depends on you and me.

It is not about money, money and money at all cost but about Nigeria and the future of our kids!
Yes, sai baba can do better but he has tried.
The other candidates are not bad as well.

The summary is let us reason deeply and be objective as we head to the poll later this week. Let us vote for posterity and not shortterm gratification like money.

Vote right! Let your vote count for a better Nigeria.
So help us God.
