Rumored VP Slot? Fear Driven Publication- Bello Ambassadors

The publication by a national newspaper alleging that the governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has backed out of presidential bid has been debunked and described as a "fear-driven" outing by the opponents of the governor.

Reacting to the trending story titled "2023: Yahaya Bello Dumps Presidential Bid, Lobbies APC Leaders For VP Slot," published about 6 hours ago, a political group, Bello Ambassadors Network (BAN) championing the taking over of the national leadership by the youth through Yahaya Bello and the major group urging the Kogi State governor to declare his interest in the 2023 presidential election said the governor is yet to answer the calls by the Nigerian youths and has not declared his interest.

The body disclosed that it was in talks with individuals close to the governor and that nothing related to dumping presidential ambition has been perceived.

It noted that it's mischievous to say that the governor who has not even declared his interest to contest for the presidency would dump such ambition. Adding that such speculations could be orchestrated by fears created by the towering name of the governor.

The national Cordinator of the Bello Ambassadors Network, Anthony Edogbo urged Nigerians to stay calmed and be committed to the actualization of the youthful presidency come 2023.

It also said the body and several other groups are still urging governor Bello to declare his interest in the top political seat in the country.

Daily Independent in the purported report of the Yahaha Bello giving on contesting for the presidential election, said, "a serving Commissioner in Kogi State, who is a close ally to the governor, said the governor has toned down his presidential ambition “given a strong feeling that the APC might pick its presidential candidate from the South”.

The newscaster can then reference that letter from the school management noting that an unspecified number of students and staff of the institution have already fallen victim which makes the action of the Kogi State Governor both timely and life-saving. Unnamed University sources have also called on other state governments and the security agencies to show similar concerns for the innocent students caught in the crossfire during this particular orgy of violence – another in a long list of such which periodically affect Plateau State, and unfortunately the Unijos community. The leadership of the nation is also called upon to not only be proactive but to find a lasting solution for insecurity as we approach 2023.

PoliticsMohammed Jamiu Addresses Supporters, Asks Them To Remain Focused by Oluboh(op): 12:23pm On Aug 16, 2021
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

I have been directed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kogi State, Pharm. ABDULKAREEM Mohammed Jamiu (Asuku) to advise the General public particularly all lovers of progress on the following:

- That on no occasion or for whatever reason(s) should anybody respond to malicious or insulting statements from detractors on his person or office, either physically or virtually whether from a known individual(s) or an unknown source.

- The Office of the Chief of Staff is preoccupied with the umflagging commitment to the achievement of "Kogi Project" which is all about the delivery of people-oriented projects that will form legacies for His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello to stand the test of seasons and time.
For this reason, we will pay no heed to hecklers.

- The proverbial saying that " he who carries a jar of oil, shies away from the carrier of firewood" is true for the government as sure steps are taken to avoid unnecessary fracas that can only lead to distraction.
Hence, the need to always ignore and avoid disparagers.

- His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello is ever determined and focused in achieving his set goals of executing and completing projects that will stand Kogi state out in the comity of states and as such his Chief of Staff is working assiduously to help ensure the accomplishment of these all important tasks and cannot be distracted.

- We urge all to remain iron-cast focused on Project GYB2PYB. The way to achieve this is promote the person and projects of our Leader, Alh. Yahaya Bello. By so doing, we are simply telling Nigerians our Principal has an Indomitable political credentials to lead our nation into prosperity. That should be our one and only focus for now. At the right time everyone will answer his or her father's name.

- On assumption of Office, the Chief of Staff proceeded on reconciliation visits to mend the broken fences between patriotic Kogites and the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello as directed and supported by His Excellency. We cannot afford to revert to such inglorious era. Anyone who knows Governor Yahaya Bello will attest to his excellent upbringing, respect for all, fairness and a genuine commitment to the unity of our dear state. He is respected today for this indelible virtues.

- It is clear, that those who worked woefully, mentoring and cheering people in their errors, and those that have been hellbent on misrepresenting and giving ill-twisted views about Gov. Yahaya Bello in recent past are back online.
During the first tenure, they were tirelessly scornful to important and respectable people via their social media handles (of course that's the only place they majorly exist).
Despite their falsehoods and antagonistic smear campaigns maliciously calculated to undermine our boss' goodwill during the last election, his Excellency still emerged victorious against all odds.
However, we shall remain resolute and pay no attention to their venomous intents, but we advise that progressive minds should be wary of them despite the fact that their malicious activities are not in anyway a clog in our progress wheel. We are committed to the developmental agenda of the entire State.
Today, Lokoja is adjudged to be the second fastest growing city in Nigeria to the glory of God. More of this is what we are working hard to achieve under GYB.

- Finally, Kogi State is for all of us, while constructive criticism and well-intentioned advice are welcome, we will also be quick to jettison any ill-will that will not be beneficial to Kogi State and her people.

Thank you and God bless you all as you abide by these directives.

Signed:-
Abubakar Y. Mujahid (Glassman)
Special Assistant To Chief of Staff.

Politics36 State Speakers Visit Yahaya Bello, Laud His Leadership Style by Oluboh(op): 10:22am On May 15, 2021
Speakers of States Houses of Assembly in Nigeria have paid a working visit on the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and commended him for his pragmatic leadership.

The gave the commendation on Friday in their separate addresses with many stating their commitment to the cause of his presidential ambition with others describing him during their individual introductions as “The Next President by the grace of God.”

Their thoughts was put together by their Kogi State counterpart, Prince Matthew Kolawole who is the speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly in his opening address at the occasion.

Prince Kolawole the purpose of their presence in Lokoja was to hold their regular extraordinary meeting for the first time in Lokoja and that it was just happening since the creation of Kogi State in 1991 and to honour him as one of them because of his daughter’s wedding this weekend.

They were having their extraordinary meeting where they would address many issues that affect them as a body with the main focus being financial autonomy for the legislature and other things that affect the country.

The Kogi Assembly Speaker noted that the relationship between the legislature and the executive has been very smooth in the state because of the pragmatic and exemplary leadership style of Governor Yahaya Bello, a synergy that he stressed, has been to the benefit of the state.

Prince Kolawole added that it was because of the vision that he has seen in the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello has informed his decision to lead his colleagues to canvass support for the Governor to become the President of Nigeria in 2023.

The Speaker who is also the National Treasurer of the Conference stated Governor Bello is a very unique person who is warm and forgiving to his political rivals in the discharge of his duty, adding he could attest to that because of the way their relationship began when Bello was first elected in 2016.

He therefore described the Governor as his political godfather to whom he had learnt many positive political attributes to move Kogi forward.

In his own address, the chairman Conference of Speakers of Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, Hon Abubakar Suleiman who is also the Speaker of Bauchi State stressed that they were in Kogi to hold their meeting anf celebrate with their colleague, Hon Kolawole.

He then thank Governor Yahaya Bello for the relationship between the legislature and the executive as there cannot be smooth operations in governance if there is no understanding and mutual relationship.

“It is not disputing the fact that if there is no close working relationship between the two arms of government, there cannot be development and democracy would suffer,” he stressed.

Kogi state New Direction Government as led by His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello had shown and emphasised convincingly that no section of the state will be neglected, especially those who has served the state meritoriously through the instrumentality of the civil service.

To further validates the intention of Governor Yahaya Bello and his purposeful administration, Public service and Pension Reform forms the crux of the 9 thematic areas through which progressive change would be engendered in the state. The inclusion of reforms in the pension and public service is a deliberate approach to bring back sanity and dignity to the service, both active and retired, as they have all immensely contributed to the development of the state.

The Hon commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, provides the pensioners and Gratuity payment infortmation in the state, for the First quarter of 2021 which is in line with the policy thrust of the administration to exemplify transparency and accountability in the utilization of state resources.

For the month of February and March 10,307 and 10,356 retirees received a commensurate amount of N876,739,452.13 and 883,182,523.36.
