Health; Gov. Yahaya Bello Currently Building One of Nigeria's Biggest Hospitals in Kogi State Late last year, the Executive Governor of Kogi State began the construction of one of Nigeria's biggest state owned Hospital. The Ultra-modern reference hospital is designed to meet international standards with the state of art health facilities. The five-story hospital under construction is located in Okene Local government and work is expected to finish completely in few months time. The bill for the construction of this multibillion naira Hospital was passed just 5months ago, and today, the Reference Hospital, Okene is becoming a reality. The action packed Governor of Kogi state has mentioned the need for better healthcare delivery, stating that the coming of the hospital will mark a total end to medical tourism in Kogi state and Nigeria. Recall Yahaya Bello had several times advised the Federal Government to prioritize healthcare funds in building international standard Hospitals capable of treating deadly diseases in the country instead of the priority given Covid-19 that is by far less deadly with a 99.8% recovery rate. The evolution of the Y-shaped hospital will mark the start of Nigeria's all-round best healthcare facility according to the state Commissioner for Health. 10 Likes 2 Shares

Nigerian youths, women thank Yahaya Bello for Inclusiveness in Government Following the inauguration of 21 LG Chairmen and 21 LG female vice chairmen across the 21 local government areas of Kogi State, youths across Nigeria have taken to social media to commend Gov. Yahaya Bello for Inclusiveness in Governance. Notable Nigerians, Kogites and non-Kogites, including opposition parties have commended the state Governor, saying that these appointments is a major victory in bridging the age long gap, that has existed between Nigerian youth and government at various levels in the country. Also, female councillors have been elected across various wards in the just concluded local government elections in Kogi state. This singular act has made 35% women participation in politics affirmative in Kogi State. The Kogi APC under the leadership of Yahaya Bello has become a national example for all other states in the country. Following this, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, led by the National President, Amb Sokubo Sara-Igbe Sokubo has described as unprecedented, the gesture extended to the local government coordinators of the NYCN in all the local government areas of Kogi State, by Governor Yahaya Bello. Governor Yahaya Bello had earlier today, 14th December, during the inauguration of the newly elected Local government leaders announced the appointment of the NYCN chairmen of the various local government in the state, as the Secretaries to the Local governments across the state. Yahaya Bello has also supported a physically disabled young Kogite to become councilor in his own ward at Okene local government of Kogi State. Gov.
