Sometimes when something is original, it is always the only talk of the town. You remember when shoprite first came to Ibadan, or when Nigeria gained independence, or when Gen. Buhari won the election- they were all talks of the people.
Twaci is the most original of all the candidates and you just have to see her everywhere.
Thanks bro.
Vote Twaci.

Nairaland GeneralMy Heart Will Never Cure by oluFELAxy(op): 6:44pm On May 05, 2015
I had already asked her out while we were in Junior School, but she was negative to my proposal. That time, we were very fond of each other and were doing almost everything in common. We were not dating, but I wanted us to be dating. She wanted us to be dating too, or so I guessed but she won’t date me.
Let me talk about our background. We are both from the same town and were both proud of that town. Her father was rich and my father though not rich was well to do. His father was known in our town, but my father I couldn’t even tell if he existed in the town. It was this rich girl that my poor self got addicted to. Although, she would say she isn’t rich because she wouldn’t claim the wealth of her father she was always showing that she was from a rich home- you would know from the way she talked about the adventures of his father and how she herself won’t cope with poverty.
The reason why I was going to Junior School was to get the JSC-Certificate, and another reason was to see this girl. When she didn’t come to school, I was disturbed. And whenever she had health problems, I was sick. She was brilliant and clever. She had a hot-temper and would kill anyone who crossed her way except that person is special. I was happy she was around my life and I told everyone I knew about her.
Junior Secondary School ended, and we went on a break. I changed school and when resumption day came, I rushed to her school, but she wasn’t there. I was confused and at that point, my life started to become complicated. Days after days and weeks after weeks, I checked the school for her but she wouldn’t come. It then dawned to me that she was gone. I was very sad and I cried so many times. I tried to move on with life, but it seemed like she was the only one I could move with. Other girls rejected me and the ones that accepted me I didn’t like except for one girl that I met through a friend that I dated.
I didn’t relent on my search for this girl that had gone to a far land and one day my endeavor was crowned. I got her number and I called her. It was at night, she picked and she was so delighted to hear from me. I was happy, and at that moment it was like as if all my problem had ended. Once again, we got connected. I got fond of her again. Although I had someone I was dating, that didn’t stop me from making her my best friend. She later came back from the far away land that she went to and our eyes met once again. Our bodies met too when I dumped the girl I was dating for her. We shared moments together and when we were alone, we kissed and did interesting things I won’t disclose here. We never had sex, but we wanted to. I pretended I didn’t know how to do the sex thing because I wouldn’t want to hurt the one I love that way.
I gave her all of me, all my life, everything I had. We were the envy of family and friends and I was starting to get rest assured that I had found my soul mate. She actually called me her soul mate. She wanted to be with me for the rest of my life. I trusted her so much and I could count on her. After God and my parents, it was her.
And then she broke my heart. She said it to me and it hit me like a bomb. She told me it was over. I don’t know why she did that till today, but I was very sad and I lost my senses for months. I even thought it was a joke for a few hours. Who could have thought that someone I called my best friend and girlfriend could make my heart bleed. That was the second time I got bitter because of her, but this time it was terrible. I didn’t shed tears, but my heart was bleeding. I didn’t lament, but my conscience was saying things. I lost my contact with everyone and I started doing abnormal things that are affecting my life till today.
I had to fake a date with another girl to get her off my mind, at least a little of her out of my mind. She thinks I am dating that girl, but I am actually getting her out of my mind. Why she broke my heart I didn’t know. If she did it because I was poor, then I am so disappointed, I thought she believed in me. If she did it because of her education, she should have told me, I would have understood. If she did it because of the influence of a friend or a family member, she never did love me, she was only deceiving me. If she just did it without a reason, then she is wicked, I have to start to avoid her. Whatever reason she did it, she destroyed my heart. She wrecked my life.
I thought she was the only sensible, intelligent and good girl around, but when she destroyed my heart I discovered it was my love for her that was making me to think so, there are better than girls than her. She broke my heart, I have forgiven her, but I will never love her like before. I will not trust her anymore, never.
If she could deceive me for 6 months, then obviously she can destroy me in an hour.
Nairaland GeneralNew Year Eve (A Story) by oluFELAxy(op): 6:22pm On Mar 23, 2015
Have you ever wondered why most people don’t achieve their goals, why some people lose their respect and dignity, why some families don’t stand, why some relationships don’t last, why some people end up behind bars? I think I have the answer. Let me give you the answer by telling you my story, but I will start with this: we do not do things because we are influenced, but we do them because we give in to them.
On the New Year eve of 2011, around 4pm, I took my wallet, picked up my phone and I walked out the gate of my house. I went down the street to get super glue and recharge card. Before I left, I called John and I instructed him to pack the plastic chairs that were on the field inside the garage. I jokingly told him to do it fast and return to his post at the gate like Ussain Bolt will do it. I live in a serene area. Although we do witness cases of robbery sometimes, we are still happy we are living in that area. My area is a new site and so there is only one variety shop in the area. Bad enough, the variety shop is far away from where I live. I walked to the variety shop gently thinking of so many things amongst which are the church program that was going to happen that night, what the next year will be like and also my girlfriend.
When I got to the Variety shop, I got what I wanted and I had just walked a few meters away from the variety shop when my phone rang. It was my girlfriend. I picked the call with all gladness, but our conversation made sadness to displace my heart. I began to run towards my home to get my car. I did not know how I got home, but I ran at a speed I never had gone before. John was shocked with the way I ran inside. He thought people were chasing me and he was looking outside and at the same time was asking me what was wrong. All I was saying to him was open the gate. He didn’t yield to my order on time and I had to shout on him while I held his collar tight, I said, “open the gates now or I pull out four of your ribs.” John was terrified and he opened the gate for me.
I jumped into my car and I sped off town. I had a destination, but I was confused which route to take. I was crying as I was driving. I must not lose my mum at this time. It was just 3 months to my wedding and I couldn’t afford to lose my mum. I drove straight to the hospital, ran into the emergency ward and I asked for Mrs. Oluwafolahan. “We have no patient by that name sir.” That was their reply. I almost went crazy and I started describing my mum for the nurses that were on duty. The more I described her, the more the nurses emphasized that my mum wasn’t there. I got so angry, and I broke into the ward looking for my mum. The nurses were holding me down, but they were not capable.
I had looked through the ward and didn’t find my mum. I felt ashamed when the security men came and ordered me out. Didn’t I get the hospital name right, or did they have another branch somewhere else. Tons of things crossed my mind as I reached for my phone to call my girlfriend. I was sweating profusely and I was covered in tears. When my girlfriend picked, she asked me what was wrong. I didn’t get her question, what did she mean? My mum is dying somewhere, was she expecting me to be fine. I told her I got to the hospital and didn’t find my mum. She laughed for a very long time and it shocked me. I looked at the phone and placed it back on my ears. She stopped laughing and said, “I was just joking.”
My heart skipped for seconds, and a great rage took over me. I started shouting on her. I told her it was over between us (I didn’t mean it). She kept begging me, but I refused. I hanged up on her and I drove out of the hospital. She kept calling me, but I didn’t pick. I didn’t bother to look at the screen of the phone. I just kept driving. I left the hospital for my mum’s place to check on her, situations warranted it. Driving from the hospital area to my mum’s place on a normal day takes like 2 hours. But due to the festive period, the duration got elongated by 30 minutes. I was on the road when I angrily switched off my phone, the tone was disturbing. No one was responsible but my lying girlfriend. I switched it off without looking at the screen, I was used to my phone.
Finally, I got to my mum’s place. I met the gates wide opened, it was very unusual. Her car was not at the place she used to park it, and it was not outside. No one was at the gate, the compound seemed deserted. I knocked the door. As I struck my hands against the door, it opened wide. It was then I began to sense danger. I ran inside and I began to call my mum’s name. But I got no response. I searched the whole house and I couldn’t find her. I was confused. I went to get my phone to call her. When I got to my car and picked up my phone, I discovered it was switched off. I switched it on and I became restless due to the long booting of the phone. When my phone finished booting, I discovered I had 23 missed calls, 10 from my girlfriend and 13 from our family doctor. I ignored that and I dialed my mum’s phone number. It began to ring and I felt relieved. “Hello!” It was the voice of our family doctor that I heard. I made enquiry on what happened to my mum and what she was doing with my mum’s phone. She asked if I didn’t see her calls. I replied that I missed them. She said if I didn’t miss it, things would have been better. My mother had died one hour ago. If I had picked her call, I would have gone to the hospital and would have donated blood to my mum.
I didn’t react, I just entered my car and I drove away from that area. I went straight to my girlfriend’s place. I was driving recklessly and I was giving devilish laughs. I got to my girlfriend’s place, ignored the greetings of her gateman and I went inside the house. When she saw me, she smiled at me, went on her knees and told me she was sorry. “You killed my mother.” That was all I said and then I pounced on her and started beating her. She was shouting and telling me she was innocent. I was beating her and I was thinking of no other thing but beating her. I carried the flower vase that was near to me, and I smashed it on her head. Suddenly, I didn’t hear her sound again. “Pretender!” I shouted and I continued to beat her. When she was no longer moving, I stopped. And I discovered she was dead. I got up spitted on her body and left in anger. I didn’t greet the gateman when I was leaving. But he saw blood on my hand, and my shirt. He must have informed the police.
I was going home to kill myself. I was going home to go and drown myself inside the pool. I was happy I had killed my girlfriend and sad that my mummy had died. I was feeling this way when I discovered that the police were at my tail. I didn’t give in to them, but they gave me a hot chase and caught up with me. I got arrested and I appeared before the court. I wasn’t sentenced to death because my uncle was influential. But I am spending the rest of my life in jail.
I heard my mum came back to life few hours later. She died when she heard I was arrested by the police for killing my girlfriend. Am not sure if the story is true. But no matter what, anger has terminated my ambition and didn’t allow me enter the New Year as a free man, but as a man behind custody. Anger has made me stupid.
“Anger has overpowered him, and driven him to a revenge which was rather a stupid one, I must acknowledge, but anger makes us all stupid.” Johanna Spyri.

Nairaland General6 People You Should Have Known By Now by oluFELAxy(op):
There are billions of people that have pass through this world. And some of them have done great things. One should know about all of them (but you cant-they are too many) because they will keep you going. When you have kids of your own, ensure they know about these people:

1. MARTIN LUTHER KING JNR
Martin luther lived between 1929 and 1968. He was an American clergyman and Nobel prize winner. This man lived his life fighting for the freedom of the black. He did that in nonviolent protests. Martin Luther was a public speaker, but he started from his college years. While he was in school, professors were praising him for powerful impressions he made. In 1963, Martin Luther gave one of the greatest speech of life- 'I have a dream.' If you read this speech or hear it, something will happen to your life. When good people thrive, the bad people wont be happy. Martin Luther was assasinated with a sniper. Today, King represent the courage of the black, he is one of those blacks that achieved things with high moral leadership. A day is set aside every year to celebrate Martin Luther in America.

2. ARISTOTLE

Did the OP just say Accounting is over rated?

You are outrightly wrong. Your sister who did just 7 months training will never be as good as the person who studied Accounting/Accountancy in a University or Polytechnic.

Accounting is not just any course, it is broder than you see it. Have you heard of Auditing, Fund Accounting, Tax Accounting, Forensic Accounting etc.

Moreover, Accounting is dynamic such that a 7 Month training will get you a job, a six years training will secure you a job. And you say Accounting is over rated. Plus the application of Accounting is just everywhere you go, it does not only in the bank.

Just confess that you are ignorant of what Accounting is or you do not understand the meaning of over rated.
PoliticsRe: Have You Ever Bothered To Find Out Who Your Local Government Chairman Is by oluFELAxy(m): 6:40am On Oct 02, 2014
I can bet 90% of Osun residents (especially youths) dont know their local government chairman because they were not elected into office by the people, but were appointed by our GOOD governor.
We cant know them, since they are not responsible to the mass but to the Governor.
For example, the past Local Government chairmen of Ife Central who were voted in are well known (E.g. Hon. Adetunmbi, Obawole etc)

Aida13: Be deceiving yourself lmao. When leaders keep all their stolen loot abroad, send their kids to foreign unis and even fly out to treat just a common cold because of the bad health-care system THEY helped destroy, you think we are free from colonization? Anyway this is not the forum for all that. Enjoy your celebration!
This independence is worth celebrating. Celebrating our heroes past is a very good thing. They fought for freedom and they got the freedom.
Then it was the Queen of England that controlled us, today we do it ourselves.
That our present day leaders are mismanaging our resources doesn't take us back or put us into the situation of being colonized.
We are free from external interference and that is the true meaning of independence.

There is this believe that Science subject are harder than any other subjects and this makes the science students very brilliant and smart.
But some people disagree with this fact, they say that the science class is just been over rated.
They say science students only apply scientific approach in their problems but face to be experts in using logical approach.
Science can't do without practicals which is not even sufficient in west African countries and so they are not well baked. But social science students have everything to study within their reach.

These were the words of a Social Science students.
What do you think?

No insults please.

I designed these logos. Do they make sense?

The felanny one has 'E' formed out of the name of the owners (write capital letter E and write capital letter F on it). While the 'R' is formed out of the motto (We Rock, we Rule, we Reign)

The Olufela one is a letter l on a letter O. Do you think the colour is fine and the border lines.

Please comment.

The only thing Nigeria should be proud of are those who have made us proud.
We are proud of our heroes past, especially Herbert Macaulay.
We are proud of those who have made significant change in the world of art (Music, painting etc ). We are proud of Ladi Kwali, Taiwo Akinkumi, Wole Soyinka, Fela Anikulapo, Chinua Achebe.
We are proud of those who have ruled Nigeria and were truly loved. The likes of Murtala Mohammed, Obafemi Awolowo.
We are proud of our activists- Gani Fawemi, Funmilayo Kuti etc.
We are proud of those who reached the peak of their careers and those who were the first in doing things.
We are proud of our sports people, those that have made us proud.
And all the soldiers who have died in defending our honour.
We are proud of those people making changes in their communities but are yet to be discovered.
We are proud of our great people.
We are proud of true Nigerians.

#WeAreProud.
