ME from the rseult of random searches I conducted online, UB is made up of exceptional professional who are vast in various aspects of engoneering and management, also it has good faculty ratio. Further more, it is a good research institution with great laboratories.

VO did you write GRE
ME I wrote IELTS

VO what course did you do at undergraduate
ME I studied agricultural engineering

Im sorry I wont be able to approve ur visa

I hav always believed GRE has more weight than English eficiency tests.... also I think what turned the VO off was "how u got d sch". Twas too general... I have to be honest with you... ur preparation was LAZY!!..

I have continually read people's post on this trend and prepared hard for possible questions and best possible answer.

I was however refused after so much preparation. Interview transcript below

VO: What are you going to do in the US
Me; I am going for Masters in Business Administration

VO: What are you doing now?
Me: I am customer care executive working with U-connect Niigeria Ltd

VO: Who is sponsoring you?
Me; I am sponsoring myself

VO: If you complete your programme , what will u be doing when you come back
Me; I am taking a study leave and will be coming back to continue my job.

VO: What are the courses you will be doing?
Me: International Biz and soceity, Quantitative methods, Biz research methods

VO; she started typing for long and gave me the blue paper.

No document asked at all.
I had all my documents; Letter from my employers confirming I applied for study leave, Bank statement, payslips for 7months, Letter of employment for present and previous work place, Academic certificates, My marraige certificate and son's birth certificate.

Behold was another guy beside me shaking as he was answering questions from male VO and was granted his visa.

I intend applying again b4 my school resumes in August. Any advise

my inputs wld be... current job and proposed Msc have no relationship..... so how wld it help u when u get bk.... Also, sponsoring urself is cool... but when on study leave.....will ur income still come in?? You can take note of those for u next interview.. adios

Hello all, i transfered my sevis payment to another sevis id, but the school code on the confirmation page is different from the one i have with me, please how do i change this. Thank you

send a mail to SEVIS . Or the international office of the school to confirm the school code. Pls was it "SEVISFEE" u used as company name during initial payment?

Mine took 3 weeks but then, I did some leg work. It usually takes Considerable time b4 ur application gets to the department from the graduate. In my case, I sent all my docs including a proof of payment of the application fee to the department's office manager who quickly packaged my file to d Ad Com. As someone stated, schools are in their exam period n maybe they haven't had time to sit. But then, summer is here already n u she hv heard from them. Try n contact them, n just in case they say summer is too late; tell em to give u consideration for fall.

Av a lil challenge with SEVIS payment, some1 is paying via western union from the UK and he's says the "sevisfee" is not a registered company name. Any1 that has used western pls help confirm.

Does anyone have an idea of how much renting a student apartment in Texas would cost on the average. For 1 bedroom? 2 bedroom? And 3 bedroom. Is anyone currently staying in an apartment in Texas or knows someone in one. Plus is it compulsory I have a social security number before I can get an apartment as an international student.

I talked with one Chinese guy that got admitted into their PHD program. He got 317 in gre, 170 Q. Even his two friends that got admitted into the MSC cheng LSU in 2014 and 2015, one of them got 322, 170 Q and the other 315 168 Q. Am thinking that their cut off is above what they tell us on the website. This rejection hurts because LSU is my number one school.and they run research with top oil company

True.... from my "little " experience with these schools... their minimum GRE requirement is false. I believe it's just to keep the application pool large. In my opinion. Better luck with others.... Sup?? Is it that no1 has written GRE here in d last 2 months??

First input on this thread. @stoid and @Agreatman. Got admitted to TAMUk recently also, grad cord said "no funding for international students for first year "..... however, a friend @ d dept told me I wld be able to apply for TA only when I resume. He did d same last year

People still dey write jare.... most ppl just want to gain n leave...IMO , TA will be decided on when u reach thr, @least dts the mode in tamuk got dt from a fwd currently in same dept... Full funding @ MSC level is almost impossible
