Travel / Re: Read This Before Planning To Relocate To Canada by OluwabuqqyYOLO(m): 8:00am On Nov 20, 2020
kyleadun:
Yesterday, I put up a post asking people if they'd choose a ₦700k/pm job over a fully sponsored opportunity to relocate to Canada and the answers were quite interesting.

I noticed that most of the people who chose the first option think ₦700k per month is a lot of money and I kinda agree with them considering that a lot of Nigerians live below the poverty line and everyone must not relocate.

Truth is, before 20-10-20, I probably would have chosen the job over relocating, but a lot changed for me on that day. Right now, I'm all for moving, especially to Canada.

So, if you're interested in moving and you're skeptical about it, or you're wondering if you should, here are a couple of things that I found out about Canada.

1. It's easier to migrate to Canada legally than other countries. Canada has one of the highest visa options for immigrants, reportedly about 70 options now. You can also become a citizen with 5 years of living in Canada as a permanent resident.

They recently announced that they'll be inviting over 1.2million immigrants over the next 3 years. If you're interested in moving, this is the best time to, considering that things may change. Good thing is you can find almost all you need to know about relocation online.

2. Canada is safe. According to the Global Peace Index, it is the 6th safest out of 163 nations, a title it held also over the past two years. Canada gets good marks when it comes to factors related to internal conflicts, levels of crime and political stability. In addition to good job opportunities, great access to healthcare, and effective government, Canada reportedly has some of the most notoriously friendly people in the world.

3. You have more chances of getting great jobs in Canada because their rate of unemployment is very low, although COVID-19 changed that a bit. For some of their immigration pathways, you don't even need to have a job to migrate. Also, there's dignity of labour there. A dishwasher earns quite well and is not treated as a 'ordinary' dishwasher.

4. As a permanent resident or Canadian citizen, public schools are free for your children from the age of 5 to about 19, and with over 15,000 elementary schools in Canada, there's a lot to choose from.

5. Permanent residents and citizens are also entitled to free public healthcare worth over $6k once you get your health insurance card. All provinces and territories in Canada provide free emergency services even if you don’t have a health card. Their emergency system is quite efficient too.

6. Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees your freedom to practice or hold whatever view you want; personal, religious or political.

7. Canada being one of the G7 economies has one of the strongest economies in the world. They also have low inflation rates.

8. Subject to fulfilling certain conditions and having the employment insurance, you can get between 12 to 18 months maternity/parental leave and earn 55% or 33% of your annual income. That means, if you are earning $100k annually and you choose the 12 months maternity/parental leave, you'll be entitled to $55k for that year.

9. Canada has better work-life balance. The standard number of weekly work hours is 40 hours per week.

10. The Canadian passport is one of the most respected and accepted in the world. With the Canuck passport, Canadian citizens can visit 104 countries without a visa, have access to get 36 e-visas or 22 visas on arrival.

You can visit http://thehustlepower.com/optin/ for more information

A bonus reason is that you'll have a better background for your pictures.

I hope the above reasons are helpful and encourage you if you want and can afford to relocate. Subsequently, I'll be sharing why remaining in Nigeria is not a bad choice either.

You and a girl fell in love. She broke up with her boyfriend for you. Here you are calling her names I don't understand. What's worse is that some of these people who call themselves men will join you to castigate her. You and every other man who supports this rubbish are very useless. Not taking rubbish from women is very different from being absolutely dumb and obviously biased.
