goldcoinhub: The Nigerian jersey has been voted the best jersey out of the 32 nations ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
In a poll conducted by Sky Sports, the Nigerian shirt garnered over 40,000 votes to beat world champions Germany to second place with 21,000 votes.
It will be recalled that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Nike who are their official kits sponsor unveiled the official 2018 World Cup kits for the Super Eagles in London on February 7, 2018 to much fanfare.
Speaking on the jersey, Nike said:
“With a culture as vibrant as Nigeria’s, the collection had a lot to live up to.
“The central design theme is an abstract feather pattern inspired by the team’s “Super Eagles” nickname. Last seen during Nigeria’s 1994 appearance on the world stage, the design has been enlivened to capture the energy of the 2018 team.”
The home kit pays subtle homage to Nigeria’s ‘94 shirt, worn by Nigeria’s first team to qualify.
It carries a familiar badge modelled after the 1996 gold medal-winning Dream Team while honouring the 1994 shirt won by the national team.
Nike’s Football Design Director, Dan Farron said in designing Nigeria’s kit, the goal was to tap into the attitude of the nation while keeping in mind the full identities of players.
The American kit maker revealed that demand for the lively jersey had hit over three million worldwide before it officially hit the shelves last week.

Christianity Etc › Re: "Winners Chapel Would Soon Be Paying Tithes Of Trillions" - Bishop Oyedepo by Oluwaiphee: 9:35pm On May 16, 2018 |
HigherEd: Well if they try that, the churches can easily centralise all their income in the US where Churches are exempted by law to pay tax. The foreign income from foreign stations would be diverted to USA and the Church reserves will also relocate to a more friendlier country. That I believe can hurt the Nigerian economy...(I tell you, if winners moves her reserves away from Nigeria at once, the bank holding the money will feel it)
They can lay hands on the offerings from Nigeria, but churches could make it harder for them by convincing members to pay online and route it to foreign accounts.
Now All that is assuming Govt can pass the legislation. But the rate at which Pentecostalism is growing and gaining representation in Govt. It would only become harder as the years goes by.
But then sef Winners pays taxes in other countries so no shaking. And Oyedepo has said the church is willing to pay taxes in Nigeria as long as the Muslims(Mosques) are included. Although he still makes a good point that canaanland provides its own water, electricity, road, schools, security etc so what is govt taxing them for exactly, especially since members already paid tax of the income they are tithing...
Personally I would forever stand against TAXATION of churches, the Anglicans, Ecwas, Baptist, Methodist are not as funded as the LFC, Christ embassy of this world. In the event of taxation it is the Orthodox they would catch, much of the Pentecostals can easily avoid because of their foreign stations.
What govt should focus on is to collaborate with the churches so as to maximally gain from them. Create Joint schools with the church, joint hospitals with the church, joint rehabs, joint orphanages etc and look for ways religious tourism could benefit businesses. If Nigeria is of religious value then exploit it rather than bickering. The likes of Isreal, Saudi are making billions of dollars from the religious value of their countries.Nigeria should focus on this rather than focus on attacking them because it won't work.
Kai!!! My brother, your head is there jare. I thought i was the only one that would think of this. Nice One!!! |

TV/Movies › Re: Double wahala for Nigerian Youths. The BBnaija Factor. by Oluwaiphee: 1:16pm On May 02, 2018 |
Toks2008: In 2006, BBNaija was conceived by Obi Asika the then CEO of storm 360 as a platform to promote the Nigerian brand as well as the rising dominance of the country’s entertainers on the entertainment scene in Africa but unfortunately, the idea had been defeated.
lets face it..what brand does this show promote and what positive impact does this show have on the productivity of Nigerian Youths and Nigeria as a nation?,and in what way does the show promote the image of the country when it was not hosted in Nigeria?...
Whilst many intelligent educated youths are out there with mind blowing entrepreneurial ideas with no funds to implement their ideas and many talented Nigerian youths out there hoping that one day they will get funding for their dreams but here we have a whooping sum of N45m and several other rewards splashed on the winner of a sex-talent hunt show where a carton of condom was provided as part of supplies for the house and Shockingly, in less than three weeks of entering the Big Brother house, the packets of condom had been depleted. Does this mean the housemates have been having regular sex?,it is very apparent that the organizers only show viewers the ones they want them to see.
What about the kissing competition?, curdling, nudity and live sex on live Tv?,thereby influencing our children very negatively and serving as a satanic tool to sow the seed of immorality in the underage who also view the immoral program and follow it up on social media.
As if this is not enough,we have some celebrities who ought to be role models promoting this counter productive program by openly rooting for their preferred housemate and even the winner is honored by the state he/she comes from making them ambassadors ....whilst first class graduates in many Nigerian universities are rewarded with N10,000,a soft porn winner gets N45m...this could fund the business ideas of over10 potential Dangotes in Nigeria
So i begin to wonder how on earth did our youths get to this point where they have totally missed their priorities....in a country where their is massive unemployment,Boko haram terrorists, endless herds men killings, high profile corruption cases, Non payment of salaries by many states despite the bail out funds, Kidnappings, Economy recession and Bad leaders to mention just few...our youths who ought to demonstrate their intolerance to the aforementioned find it more convenient to expend their energy on a soft porn reality show,..how lame
With the misplaced priorities of today's Nigerian youths I guess the nation may be stagnant unless we focus on things that matter in moving Nigeria forward like our Nigeria youths of the past, like Awolowo who was 37 years,Akintola 36,Ahmadu Bello 36,Balewa 34,Okotie-Eboh 27 and Enahoro 27 and they led the struggle for Nigeria Independence after the death of Macaulay. Only Zik was 42 at the time!
In 1966, the first military coup was led by K Nzeogwu who was 29 years and countered by M.Mohammed 28,T. Danjuma 28, I. Babangida 25, J. Garba 23, Sani Abacha 23, and M. Yar'adua 23, And brought into power Y. Gowon 32,Ojukwu 33, Obasanjo 29, and Buhari 24!
Most of the military governors who governed the states under the successive military regimes were under 30 years.
Also, the brief democratic dispensation which interjected the military regime also saw some Senators and members of the House of Representatives, in particular, populated by persons under 30!
Under 30's were also not in short supply with appointments - we have examples of MT Mbu who became Nigeria's Foreign Affairs Minister at 23 and Pat Utomi who became a Federal Adviser at 27 and so on and so forth! but the present day Nigeria youth have totally become a shadow of the youths we once had in time past...how unfortunate..
The most bizarre twist is that in all, 170 million votes were cast in the 85-day event, with 30 million votes coming in the last week alone which goes to confirm that indeed, many Nigerian youths are clueless as voters had to spend N30 per sms and many voted several times and those who voted for free had to go through the stress of downloading an app in order to vote for free yet many of these voters who are 18 years and above have never voted in any electoral process in Nigeria and many do not have a Permanent Voters card to vote in a credible leader to move our nation forward.
Well just as the theme for the just concluded show implies..Indeed it is DOUBLE WAHALA for the clueless Nigerian youths
I rest my case. Well, this one is your opinion, everybody is entitled to one. My own very candid opinion is, anytime i read or hear people talk like in this post i just wave it as that same thing that make us (Nigerians) bleeding HYPOCRITES. I will just ask the questions and just give corresponding examples as answers: -Do you know the amount of jobs BBNaija created, as in youths that got something to do because of BBNaija? Ans: Sound engineers, lighting engineers, carema men, producers, dancers, security, ninjas..lol...etc -When you are sick, do you go to a plumber or a doctor? Ans: it is not BBnaija's duty to give the youth money start up their ideas, what they do is to deliver entertaining as well as educative content to viewers. - why is it of everything that BBNaija delivered, you just paid attention to the sex scenes and bathroom sessions? Ans- So you mean all the educative presentations (Rexona - prevention of body odour, Close-up (how to maintain a healthy mouth, and so many more) the housemate gave you did see any one abi? Infact i am tired of typing, i have plenty more points bruh if you care for them. Peace!! |

www.nairaland.com/attachments/7043165_img20180420wa0020_jpegc97ca2bb18d9f22f4612d12e550b6ebd 1. Makarfi Enjoys Goodwill of Northern Nigeria In Kaduna state and the entire northern Nigeria, there is no single individual today that enjoys the goodwill more than Senator Ahmed Makarfi.
The minority northern Christians love him for displaying rare leadership that is lacking among Nigeria's elites by implementing policies and making utterances that unify and not those that further divide. The Muslims love him for displaying true Islamic virtue despite the fact that he isn't a vocal proponent of Shari'a like other hypocritical leaders.
Makarfi equally enjoys respect of northern elite, Christan association, non indigenous people and those in the middle belt for his consistent display of brotherly love and unity as Governor and Senator. As Senator, he backed the agitation for the creation of Gurara state for people of Southern Kaduna despite the fact that he is from Northern Senatorial district. No wonder he is so loved by the people.
2. Makarfi Is Honest, The Real "Mai Gaskyya"
It is rare in this part of the world to find a man or woman that held political positions of Governor and influential Senator for straight sixteen years without a SINGLE indictment for corruption. Ahmed Makarfi showed this rare trait that not even his traducers could pin him with anything. He is the only PDP Presidential Aspirant without indictment of graft as Governor, Senator, Chairman Senate Account Committee and former National Chairman, all within this present 4th republic.
Nigerians are aware that President Muhammadu Buhari, the false "mai Gaskyya", could not live up to the incorruptible garment worn on him during his campaign in 2015, he has proven to be false with the incessant corruption by his government and officers close to him, and his shielding of alleged corrupt allies.
3. Makarfi Is Sellable In Southwest
Come 2019 southwest, the zone of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who many see as a disappointment, will again be the golden bride. The zone is reputed to be the most critical of candidates when it comes to election- all thanks to their political sophistication.
Southwestern voting pattern is usually unpredictably predictable. They consider antecedents of aspirants, performance of incumbents and reputation of candidates before deciding on their vote. They speak less and act more.
In 2011 they rewarded Goodluck Jonathan who came with his promise of Fresh Air but punished PDP in states and National Assembly elections, in 2014 they punished incumbent Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti but rewarded incumbent Rauf Aregbesola in Ekiti and Osun gubernatorial poll respectively. They punished Goodluck Jonathan and PDP in 2015 Presidential election in favor of "change" of Muhammadu Buhari but with the disappointing performance of President Buhari, it is only fair that PDP present an aspirant that has integrity, reputation, nonreligious/nontribal posture and one with excellent antecedent to these sophisticated people as the best alternative. Without a single corruption indictment from ANY quarters (not even one of his fiery successor and incumbent Nasir Elrufai), without allegations of religious or ethnic bias at any time, with a calm but non controversial disposition, and with reputable leadership achievements and experience, Senator Ahmed Makarfi perfectly fits the bill.
4. Makarfi Is Sellable/Acceptable In Southeast And Southsouth*
People of the southeast geopolitical zone have two unique needs; "a favorable and enabling environment to live and Operate their business" and "sense of belonging as equal partner in the Nigeria project". Absence of both by successive administration led to the call for secession.
Senator Makarfi has the reputation of providing favorable environment for people irrespective of ethnic group or religion, he also believes every stakeholder is key in the Nigeria project, these he displayed in all public positions he held in terms of appointment and service delivery. The people of Kaduna state and Middlebelt could testify to this.
With these credentials it is very easy for the people of the southeast, having unanimously rejected president Buhari who called them 5% and has been trying to bully them with false 2023 presidency, to align with Makarfi's project knowing that their interests as a group is well protected.
While it is true that Southeast is a stronghold of PDP, it is only appropriate to give them a President that will carry them along in leadership and make them feel the pride of being Nigerians, which is lacking at present.
For the SouthSouth, Makarfi doesn't have to campaign as the people know him and remember him for his impeccable deeds.
5. Makarfi Captained The Resurgent PDP, Nigeria Deserve A Resurgence: Nigerians and PDP members will agree that it took the efforts and leadership of Senator Ahmed Makarfi to ensure the non collapse of PDP even when it appeared all hope was lost. He stood firm, showed willingness to give up his position as National Chairman for the sake of the party only if then factional Chairman Ali Modu Sheriff would allow peace deal. He stood firm to see PDP bounce back even when all Governors under the party platform (including a certain aspirant) were playing hide and seek game save Governors Nyesom Wike and Ayo Fayose of Rivers and Ekiti states respectively. Makarfi maintained leadership and calm even after the setback from court of Appeal that declared him illegal, a pronouncement that even led some party chieftains (yours faithfully included) to seek a fresh alternative until the Supreme court right the wrong. He displayed rare leadership by extending hands of fellowship to Sheriff's group and prevailed on those that had left to return "home", which led to return of people, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Rasheed Ladoja, Gbenga Daniel and others.
Makarfi has earned the trusts of party members by not betraying the party like Sheriff did (due to his inordinate ambition), he deserve the ticket of the party so as to put Nigeria back on the pedestal of greatness to make our country great again.
6. Makarfi Possess Strong Electoral Value In 1998 he won the Governorship election of Kaduna state by landslide. In 2003 he triumphed over Buhari backed Suleiman Hunkuyi despite the propaganda employed against him by Buharists that he was unfair to 'Muslims' and theyy even tagged him "Pastor Makarfi" just because he accommodated all religions. In 2007 he triumphed over Buhari backed ANPP candidate in the Senatorial election, delivered his Kaduna state to PDP in both Presidential and Gubernatorial elections of that year and in favor of Umaru Yar'adua and Namadi Sambo respectively. In 2011 he delivered Kaduna north senatorial zone and entire Kaduna state to Goodluck Jonathan and late Patrick Yokowa in the then Presidential and Governorship election, and retained his own Senatorial seat.
However, in 2015, after THREE straight victory over Buhari and his candidates, he lost for the first time due to no fault of his but the overgrown animosity against Goodluck Jonathan, the PDP and then incumbent Ramalan Yero after the people of Kaduna decided to give Buhari and his gang a trial, which they now regret.
It is instructive to note that Makarfi was begged by the All Progressive Congress to abandon PDP and Jonathan and make a switch like most of his colleagues had done but he declined. He believed and still believe that power comes from God.
He lost the Senate but God rewarded him the National Chairmanship of PDP, the largest party in Nigeria, where he served diligently. Nigerians need such a man for the Presidency because with Makarfi, we are assured that the country won't be betrayed
Who else could match these qualities?

Also look what he did as PDP National Chairman. All your above mentioned points are 150% correct. He is the perfect leader, check his antecedents BUT politics is not just about that , he is not so popular in the southwest, south south and south east. In Nigeria now, it will be difficult to sell any body to us because of our nasty experience with this present government that was sold to us. Come 2019, Nigerians will play it safe i.e. someone we already know that can change things. The safest bet for PDP, of they are to stand any chance of wrestling power from APC in 2019 is ABUBAKAR ATIKU. Forget whatever has been said about the man, they are mere propagander without proof. He has proven himself to Nigerians that he has the pedigree, the experience (remember he was once the V.P, so he knows the system), he has the background and a rich portfolio and C.V.( He is well educated, he arguably one of the highest employer of Nigerian youths, he has excelled in business in a tough environment like Nigeria), he is the most popular among the prospective candidates (known even in the south east and south south) and enjoys a huge amount of goodwill even with the international community. Bede2u: In about 7 months time, it will be time for the largest opposition party in Nigeria to select their presidential flag bearer in a primary that we all hope will be devoid of rancor. PDP is a party we all love and hate equally. While they are guilty of so many things, its also important to note that the greatest progress Nigeria has made so far has been under them. Its therefore good for our democracy that this party should remain strong. Remember that political party and politicians are two different things. We believe that these four people would be vying for the party ticket. Who, in the interest of democracy would you prefer to see emerge as the Presidential nominee for 2019? Who would you want to see test his popularity against Muhammad Buhari, and probably kick him out? Click like for your preferred candidate only.
Ps. Don't tell us that PDP is dead. That's childish. If that's your opinion on the matter, then you should be in the tribal section of politics, not here with sane people. Don't also tell us that PDP is a party of thieves because that is immature. There is no party of thieves, just thieving politicians and you can find them more currently in the ruling APC than in today's PDP
cc engineerboat lordimmaogidi crownwealth fergie001 Ayor93 deco22 onatisi kcmichael TonyeBarcanista To be very Objective, the only candidate PDP has with nationwide popularity, good will, pedigree and know how is Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Say whatever you like about the man but if PDP stand a chance it has to be with ATIKU. No matter how good we think Dankwambo is (i personally think he is the best candidate), but outside the north, Dankwambo is not even known, well Lamido still has some corruption case against him, Well, Makarfi is a perfect leader but politics is not always white or black. I will just advise them to go with the man ATIKU!! My one cent. |

Brooke60: Cee-C needs therapist. It still baffles me the way Nigerians root for that babe. They call her strong woman? WTF? Is that the definition of a strong woman? We have lost it in this generation My Sister, My God will bless you. I wonder how a character like that Cee-c will have people supporting her. Anyways majority of Nigerians are hypocrites, little wonder a bleeding hypocrite like that idiot will have fans. As mannerless, crude, disturbed, and psychotic as the girl is, she is still some people's role model. Kai!!......... Nigerians we have problem. |

Explorers: The gas was released in Kosovo's parliament by opposition MP's to stop the controversial land-deal vote going ahead with Montenegro.
MP's were expected to vote on the controversial agreement when the Self-Determination Movement party threw tear gas canisters in the assembly as the vote on the long-pending land-deal was about to start.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5528987/Kosovo-pass-border-deal-tear-gas-attack.html Lalasticlala, Mynd44 If this were to happen in Nigeria, the whole media, even Nigerians will make a meal of it. We have this DIRTY habit of magnifying our shortcomings as a country. To me, that is irresponsible media. Everyone is guilty of this. |

His experience and level of education, with a Ph.D in Financial Accounting, Ph.D in Financial Management, one time Accountant General of the state, one time Accountant General of the Federation and one time Accountant General of Africa, have given him opportunity and the people of Gombe are tapping from it.
Gombe’s allocation is about the least in the federation account but that doesn’t stop Dakwambo from embarking on huge projects. The governor has constructed more than 500 kilometers of roads across the state capital alone while connecting many areas and states like Adamawa, Bauchi and Borno. He has embarked on an agricultural revolution in Gombe by supplying agricultural implements, farm inputs, training of farmers and assisting the farmers with loans. So many things have been achieved so far.
His genres of training include Harvard University, Cambridge, Boston Massachusetts, USA on Global Financial System, Crises, Prospects and Solutions; DUKE University, DCID, Durham, NC 27708,USA on Budgeting and Financial Management in the Public Sector; Stanford University, Stanford Business School, 518, Memorial Way, USA, CA, USA-Financial Management Programme.
He worked with the Central Bank of Nigeria (1988-1999). He was Accountant General of Gombe State 1999-2005; Accountant General of the Federation 2005-2011. As the AGF, he chaired and served in very numerous committees and Board member of some Government parastatals at various times. He was the President/Chairman of the Forum of Accountants-General and Auditors – General in West Africa (FAAGWA), and had earlier, served as the Protem Secretary of the same organisation.

JoyceMeyersFan: People became teachers for so many reasons.... Because they couldn't get any other job, because they love teaching, to enjoy weekends and holidays, etc. If you became a teacher because it's your gift/passion and you desire to impact lives with it, drop your WhatsApp number on the comment section. I will add you to a group of teachers who are ready to sacrifice to change lives. 08177513913 |

If you guys aint even related? Shey, we dey our own, him carry him house show every body? What else do you expect when you put your biznizz out there? What made him show us his house, is what is making me ask him the source of that money. |
Celebrities › Re: Williams Uchemba's New Home In USA: How Did He Get The Money? Nigerians Ask by Oluwaiphee: 9:22pm On Feb 27, 2018 |
Ayodejioak: How did he get the money? Seriously? is that your question?
Poverty is so bad that it wont only limit your reason but also force you to think everyone is reasoning the same way as you.
Some of you have just one job - chasing NL frontage allllllll the time.
What makes you think others are doing the same. Everyone is busy planning their future. Yours depend on you!! My Brother, it is a very legitimate question. It's high time we stop celebrating any and every wealth brandish in our faces. This is the exact thing that has brought about the rot in our value system. With the youths, it is "GET RICH NO MATTER HOW" syndrome. Nobody said he did anything illegal or bad, Hence, the question: "OGA, HOW DID YOU MAKE YOUR MONEY?!!" |

Poshriel: Two days ago, my younger brother called me on phone and was sounding so down, so I asked him what the problem was and he told he needed help.
I went on to ask him what the issue was and he told me that his savings are being swept away via sport bet.
According to him, he has lost over a 100k in the last six months.
He is single just started working late 20s.
Please Nairalanders, is there a way we can help him out?
I literally told him that stopping the habit is as simple as not going to the shop again, but he said the bet shop is right Opposite his house. The best and fastest way to drop any habit is to pick up another habit (Good Habit). The new habit will preoccupy him, he won't have the chance to fall back to the old habit, especially if it is a money - making habit. |
