A Federal High Court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has removed Chief Uche Secondus from his position as the National Chairman of the PDP. The court stated that he should return to his position as deputy National Chairman.

The removal came pursuant to a suit filed by the former special adviser on political affairs, Ahmed Gulak. Gulak challenged Secondus' position as chairman on the ground that it violated the provisions of party constitution which provided for a zoning arrangement between the geo-political zones.

According to the arrangement, the position of National Chairman of the party is meant to go to the North-east since the former National Chairman; Adamu Mu'azu resigned from his position.

The ruling, delivered by Justice Yusuf Baba ordered that the position be vacated by Secondus within 14 days and any qualified member of the party from the North East should occupy the position as acting National Chairman.

This development is a very interesting and welcoming one. A lot of people thought that the PDP was a dead party who stood no chance of acting as a viable opposition to the APC. The fact that people are still interested in running the affairs of the party means that there are still those who still believe there is something there.

In conclusion, for the sake of democracy, it is hoped that the PDP rejuvenates itself and becomes the opposition party to watch out for.

I don't know if it was rooted. I tried factory resetting through pressing the power and volume buttons, the problem still persists.
