I don't think I have any business because it's about someone you really loved. @Op: I always broke up with girls, not because of anything, but the love just don't develop. The last girl I dated, I tried as much to love her, but the love just don't come up. I'm tired jawe... I need to take a break may be she (the one) will soon arrive. So in two words: No experience. |
hmmm
So Oga Mynd, how far? Am awaiting......... Thanks |

@ Poster I will try as much to give a pellucid picture of your quest. As someone has said above: Advice is a noun; Advise is a verb. This is how it is used; If you need advice from someone, it can be written in two forms as thus; 1. I need your ADVICE - In this form, ADVICE is a noun. It is the complement of the sentence, and it's mostly noun. 2. He ADVISED me not to go. - can you see how this is used? It's also used in past tense form, because it's a predicate (verb) of the pronoun 'He'. @OP, you just have to know when words change from one form to another. There are many of them in English words. From NOUN to ADJECTIVE to VERB to ADVERB. Hope I answered your question? 'Lemme' know if more is needed. Good for you as you seek to know. There is wisdom in multitude of counsel. God bless you! |
The highest no of textbook I've used for one subject is 12 and it's Mathematics. I can list them, but I'm not asked to. |
I hope everything is alright now? Peace be unto the prestigous Yabatech. Yaba The great! |

Henadek: Woow...! This is a tight corner!Foremost, congratulations. If truly you prefer to study Mechanical Engineering, I'd advise you to opt for yabatech and later go through D.E to Unilag. Guy forget, it's very possible to make distinction in Yabatech. Though in a class, we hardly see two students finishing with distinction, but it's very possible if you know how to play the game well. If you could hit distinction in your 1st semester which is the easiest, you've stood a high chance of finishing with it provided you never jettison your primary aim. And I believe you wrote all the exams yourself. Somebody like you with two admission offers is likely to make distinction - you're the material. But the hope of changing from Physics to Mech. after your 1st year may prove difficult because it's from eng. dept to the sciences unlike the reverse which is easier. And some other factors like you've stated above. Another thing is you can write another Jamb in your ND2. By then you would have gathered more knowledge in Yabatech which will be of tremendous advantage to you and increase your chances of graduation with a very high grade when you finally get to Unilag. An examplary is a guy that finished from Maths/Stat dept. with 3.66 and he wrote another Jamb in ND 2. He scored 305 with 100/100 in Maths, and was admitted to Uniben. Guess what, he had 5.00/5.00 in his first semester. Why? He had already taken most of the courses in Yabatech. Physics is not bad either. But I won't lie to you, it's easier having high grade in Eng. depts than sciences (especially physics in Unilag). It's now your choice. Egbon has told you enough between Physics and Mech. So the choice is yours. Wish you the best! |
amanda2013: There was a country by chinua Achebe. Pg 41.I don't like that book at all. I just dumped it somewhere. Achebe is portraying the Igbos as more superior to others. |

In a nutshell, the competition has come to an end. Congratulations to all participants (including myself, even If I dropped at Round 1), particularly to the reigning Nairaland literary giant - Timpaker. Your poem really hit it, especially your diction. Hope to see more of your works. Congrats once again. She-blayze's Letter to my future husband is another thing to endorse. I was bewitched and moved by the poem. It really got to the core part of me. Nice one! Princesa's I'm guilty of murder by default is a great poem. It takes a creative mind and a sense of purpose to come up with such a beautiful piece. Good job! Nairaland writers (Novelists and Poets) are the one whom we call the greats. Cuddlemii, you're the one we can call our leader. Good job! My regards to oga mod, Mynd and the Judges for spending your precious time for something worthwhile like this. And profound gratitude to Mr. Seun Osewa for creating a medium that brings great minds together. My humble advice goes to bro. Jack, you're good with your poems, but please learn to handle situations with peace. Don't forget, attitude is everything. I follow this thread to and fro from A to Z. Nevertheless, I gbadun your 'Rapture'. A poem worth reading. I look up to you guys. We never can tell where this might take us to. Am happy I'm part of this and I've people like you guys to look up to. See you guys on the pinnacle of achievements. Bless ya'll . One love, nairaland; one love, Nigeria. Thanks. OMA |
