Dricker: why will the rich complain when they will push everything to the poor masses..una dn allow tribalism and religion destroy una sense of reasoning and humanity..Africans eh
saintmm: Please kindly come off it. There's a deceit in it further beginning. That low income earners are exempted. please what is the definition of low income earners because the people collecting the minimum wage of #70000 will still pay tax or didn't you do the mathematics: #70000*12 = #840000.
The exempted threshold is #800000 and they are shouting low income earners are exempted,so who are the low income earners if the most miserably paid government worker is being taxed?
Let's stop deceiving ourselves and ask for sincerity and accountability. Payment of tax is not a problem but the deceit and corruption in governance
Then let everyone start holding the government accountable. Tax is one of the citizen's obligation to a country.

Savageman247: Popular Nigerian skitmaker, Nasboi, has found himself at the center of heated backlash after deleting a tweet where he appeared to express support for the controversial new tax law scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2026.
In the now-deleted post on X, Nasboi reportedly wrote: “Tax us, that’s fine. But I’m hoping that the money is used to better this country, hopefully.”
However, his stance did not sit well with many Nigerians, who believe the proposed law would further burden citizens already struggling under harsh economic realities. The situation escalated when reports surfaced alleging that portions of the law may have been altered or “forged,” intensifying public outrage and placing those seen as supporting the policy under fire.
Facing mounting criticism, the comedian deleted the original tweet, but screenshots had already circulated widely, fueling further reactions online.
One user questioned his action, asking: “Why did you remove this?” while sharing the controversial portions of the tax policy.
Another user, @Emarged, went as far as likening the situation to betrayal, writing: “They have collected their 30 pieces of silver.”
Social media remains flooded with mixed reactions as Nigerians continue to call out public figures perceived as backing policies they believe are detrimental to the masses.
I believe emphasis should be on the accountability of the government using this tax judiciously. I'm in support of the tax however, the tax shouldn't be used to sponsor the lavish lifestyle of public office holders
So it's Wike's group you would now acknowledge, right? Well we know the man behind the curtain. Las las, pdp will be reduced to just the name of a what's app group.
Dpsychologist: Let’s stop pretending this isn’t happening.
When a man is struggling financially, society mocks him. When a man has erectile issues, he’s ridiculed and written off. When a man falls, people don’t ask why, they mock and move on.
But when the tables turn? Excuses appear. Sympathy flows. Accountability disappears. This isn’t bitterness. It’s pattern recognition.
Men are expected to be strong before they’re allowed to be loved. Women are often loved while they’re still figuring things out. That’s the reality many men learn the hard way.
So here’s the practical takeaway no emotions, just execution:
1. Build value: financially, mentally, physically. Nobody respects what isn’t solid. 2. Set standards: stop accepting imbalance and calling it love. 3. Demand reciprocity: effort, respect, contribution or walk. 4. Protect your dignity: your lowest moments will not be met with mercy.
As a man, no one is coming to save you. No one will cushion your fall. And no one will hesitate to judge you when you’re down. That doesn’t make life unfair it makes it clear.
So take responsibility for your growth. Guard your peace. Choose wisely. And never outsource your self-worth to anyone.
Compliments of the season.
I have always been saying it and I will continue to say it "Society is configured to either eradicate men or weaken men" The earlier we realise this, the better for men. Point 3 is non-negotiable

JASONjnr: So it's either they become something straight from prison or they hawk and become politicians.
Anyway, being a hawker and becoming a governor should define him into a good leader but it doesn't seem so because he's more of a talkative than someone with a struggling background.
To some extent, he has tried. He was never a politician but a businessman.
