“What has Kano benefited from being in opposition? During Shagari, Kano was in opposition. At some point during Obasanjo, Kano was in opposition. During Yar'Adua, Kano was in opposition. During Jonathan, Kano was in internal opposition.”

Lawyer, Godspower Egbule has said Fubara’s impeachment proceedings must strictly follow constitutional provisions, warning that court intervention at an early stage would be premature.
Egbule said, “At this point, it would be too hasty for anybody to reach the court,” adding that, “The three arms of government are circumscribed by the provisions of the Constitution.”
“It would be ultra vires for the legislature to make moves that are outside the provisions of the Constitution. It would also be ultra vires by the judge and the court to make orders that are outside the provisions of the Constitution.”
He anchored his argument on Section 188 of the Constitution, describing the impeachment process as clearly defined and sequential. “Section 188 is clear. First, a third majority, a notice of impeachment, is given to the Speaker. The Speaker sends a notice of impeachment to the governor. After that, by a motion of a third majority, that motion is now adopted by the House of Assembly and sent to the Chief Judge to set up a seven-man panel,” he said.
That was how the AGF had said that what is going on in Rivers State isn't connected to Wike but Wike talk say him get hand. And the lawyer is trying to follow same route with AGF

Leonardo4: How will you day they are not affected by the tax. The SME people will always increase goods when their house rent increases definitely. Where should they get the money to pay the increased house rent.? An employer of labour whose workers are taxed when dy are paid monthly salary will increase the cost of his goods and services so he can increase the workers salary. Itaffects everybody including the poor I am not saying taxing is bad. But I think there could have been a better way to do this
One mistake many Nigerians will do is to increase their income, not knowing that the higher their income, the higher their tax. Another thing I've observed is that, the main people affected by the tax can't really come out to complain, they're now instigating those exempted by the tax to come out and complain.
Onedance: does tax not start from 800k +1 yearly.so people earning 70k is much well in the bracket
No they aren't, because by the time you remove how much your paying for rent, you will see that it's below 800k. I will recommend you watch the several interviews done in at Channels and Arise TV

The person that charged you 7.5% tax, did a number on you. It is expected because we are our problem because most of the time we derieve joy in exploiting one another. Doesn't it amaze you that although the price of petrol drops, the cost of transportation hasn't dropped?
U don't know what ripple effects ot chain reactions means?

1. Those earning minimum wage 2. If by the time you deduct your rent and the amount remaining as your annual income is below the tax threshold, you won't be taxed. 3. When you file for tax, and you're not eligible, you won't be taxed. 4. If your business doesn't have a 100 million naira turn over at the end of the year, you won't be taxed.
I understand how you feel, people don't usually like the Tax man.
Ofemannnu: It is illiteracy. Most of those people doing these negative activities are exempt but are mainly enemies of Nigerians who want to prove a point that the tax will hike prices. With time, this negative pushback will fade off and things will actually become cheaper.
This is why I keep saying that we are our problem. Those not even affected by the Tax are now the one causing havoc on mostly those exempted from paying tax. Most Nigerians don't read, comprehend and are highly gullible. Smh
