I have lived in Enugu city to know this. I still do.

A typical Enugu person doesn't say 'ife' and will call the vegetable, 'Oha', not 'Ora'. And will say, mmiri not mmili. Meanwhile, Anambra indigenes, esp other ones may say these.

Dont be smart by half, what is spoken in Onicha , Idenmili and Ogbaru cosmopolitan is what we call Anambra dialect. Its a combination of of different Anambra dialects majorly from Onicha ,Idenmili,Ogbaru , Njikoka, Dunukofia and Omanbala river towns. As you go south there are changes but most vocabulary remain the same.

As for Enugu people, 99% of them speak Anambra dialect including Nwodo, Bianca,Nwobodo, Chime and even you but I dont expect you to admit it. Yes, 99% Enugu people say ife, welu, chelu, mmili and what have you. I have been amongst Enugu guys and every gaddem one speaks Anambra, again, including yourself....Stop lying for goodness sake. Anambra dialect is smooth and silky, it rolls out from the tongue easily. No need to deny whats undeniable. I have heard Nwodo speak, Nnamani speak , Nwobodo speak and they never said ashi m'(meaning I said in Enugu dialect) ,rather asi m' in Anambra dialect. Awka speak Anambra dialect with the "v" factor.

And to be frank, I dont know what the ramblings about inner city roads and class is all about. Who doesnt have inner city roads, you are maintaining an already existing road network that were done by previous administration and you call that class! I dont want to insult Enugu people because I respect them but you guys have been stagnant in development. You should keep a low profile because we have not seen anything transformational from you guys.

Onicha is doing very well both in infrastructure and economy. The same Onicha houses and made thousands of Igbo billionaires...Onicha bu ala na azu nwa. I can throw names of Ndi Anambra both old and modern from Zik, Ekwueme, Osita Chidoka and Kingsley Muoghalu who exude class but what have you. Anambra is multifaceted.

I am not here to insult Ndi Enugu but you need to be silenced. You can never tell a person is from Enugu until they say so because they speak Anambra dialects. Celestine Ukwu, Mike Ejeagha Paulson Kalu are examples of people who didn't live in Anambra but speaks Anambra dialect.

Who are the classy men of Enugu? Nnamani, Chime and your the pot belly clown you have now ? What you have in Enugu is a remnant of the old city. When Anambra people started migrating to Enugu which was the capital of Eastern Nigeria Enugu people were still in darkness. The presence of Ndi Anambra in Enugu changed the way an Enugu man speaks Igbo and live. After the construction of University of Nigeria by Zik Anambra people were the brain behind the excellence the school recorded. Most of the lecturers were Ndi Anambra and they stamped not only their intelligence but culture in Enugu and Nsukka. Most Enugu people do not speak their dialects in the open , they speak Anambra Igbo.

Obiano has failed with a big F in transport and roads. Onitsha needs to convert many roads to one way roads and put traffic lights and proper traffic police. They need scheduled 30 seater buses to run routes around the city not ten thousand rickety keke tricycles. All sidewalks should be freed from the nuisance of traders and wheel barrows. All primitive markets need to be upgraded or relocated away from busy arteries.

To be honest,Obiano has not been able to deliver on half of the things he promised. The roads are narrow, the transportation system is a big failure and his road works are mostly substandard. He doesn't have the magic wand, just another loudmouth politician.

Like you rightly pointed out most of the roads in Onicha, Nnewi and Awka should be just one way thats how you design roads in a populated town with minimal land mass. Obiano should know this, he has lived in United States and been to Downtown Houston and saw the way roads were designed to decongest the roads.

Let me get this correctly, we will wait for Anioma people to decide before we can move forward...There is no sense in this because Anioma are not even thinking in the same direction as SE. A well over 70% of Anioma if given a chance to make a choice will not join Igbo today. Why are you waiting on somebody who is not exercising any thought of one nation with you. Now, I believe Obiano isn't too comfortable handing over the senatorial ticket to Ifeanyi Uba going by his antecedent of party prostitution. Everyone knows Ifeanyi Uba will still come back to contest the gubernatorial ticket with or without being a Senator. Governance and philanthropy are two different entities. Rocha's Okorocha was a good philanthropist until he became the Governor of IMO state. Soludo has been tested and has gathered enough experience within the Nigerian system in governance, he remains the best candidate for the next Anambra Gubernatorial election.
