You sound as if anybody is begging you to identify with us. Nigga, Bleep off, mental slave! Only a sick person will make such comment. God knows I am not one of those who spend my energy trying to educate a fool.

"Ebo meaning 'family' or 'tribe', still refers to the same thing. I gave the meaning based on how it is used in the east or even in Igbo bible. In one of the earliest Igbo bibles, 'tribe' was consistently translated as 'ebo', and you could also hear it in some Igbo Christian songs. That is, ebo refers to a close-knit related set of people, it could be a tribe, family etc. In Igbo there are just so many words that could be used for 'tribe'/'family' etc. such as ngwulu, ezinauno (the modern term for it now), etc. I would say that the usage of ebo is not restrictive and could have several meanings. "

@Bigfrancis, ngwulu can not be used to define tribe because they are two different things. Ngwulu basically means household like people who share same surname, while ezinunor means your immediate family like you, your wife and children. In Idenmili and surrounding communities Ebo is used to describe people who are related by blood, while agbọ is a smaller unit of ebo like lineage. These three words Ngwulu, Ebo and Ezinunor are not to be mistaken for another and can't be used interchangeably.
Onicha say "Ebo itenanị"
Umuoji say "Ebo ili na ise"
Umuleri say "Oke Ebo"
Abagana say "Ebo tete"
Abatete say "Ebo itenanị"

As I'm typing this right now, I'm in a flat with up to 8 Ika people and two Igbo people from two different States and they don't understand what we're speaking. I asked them if they understood and honestly they don't. They're like strangers in our midst.

Our worldview and idiosyncrasies is very different.
It's important to know that a lot of Bini people/Edoid groups migrated to Anioma and settled with the original Igbo of these places, hence the occurrence of some Bini names and few remnants.

A quote from Abagworo on Igala people thread. And this is to show you how retarded that dude is....lol. He thinks IMO and Abia are norther Igbo, the first time anybody is classifying them so. Even the early researchers never did.

"northern igbos are in present day anambra, enugu, ebonyi, imo and abia while southern igbos are in imo, abia, akwaibom, rivers and delta.the southern igbos might have migrated from the north but it is highly disputed as their oral traditions talk little about it.there is also the north-eastern igbos who have high mix of ibibio and other crossriver groups."

Some parts of Anambra close to Aguleri don't even speak Igbo. That's where you're from and you know nothing about Igbo people.

What do you know about Awka and Nnewi?
Here we go again pulling stuff from anywhere. Let's clear something out, firstly, there is no town in Anambra that doesn't speak Igbo language. Secondly, I am from Igwulube Okodu, Umuoji in Idenmili North and we are surrounded by Obosi, Nkpor, Ogidi, Oba, Ojoto, Abatete and Uke. So, next time when you open your mouth be very mindful about what you say here.

Next, I don't know everything about Awka and Nnewi but I what they sound like because I have them as family friends and business partners.

But my question is why are you obsessed with ỤMỤ ỌMANBALA?

Please leave Igbo matters for us to discuss. Some of us are respected titled men in real life that actually know Igbo and live Igbo. All of Igbo except Onitsha is nasal and this includes Ika and Ikwerre but central Igbo is a mix of Onitsha and Umuahia with the nasal aspects removed. Go back to your Igala and stop claiming Igbo when you know nothing about Igbo.
This dude is pathetic, from Umuahia is not nasal to Onicha is the only non nasalized Igbo as if you are making any sense. You don't know what Onicha dialect sound like or Idenmili, Ogbaru, Oyi, Njikoka, Omanbala regions, Awka etc. You don't know anything about our dialects yet you are an expert. If I have a man from Nkpor, Agụleri and Onicha together talking, even an Nnewi man will struggle to differentiate them.

Abagworo:
Actually its Umuahia and Onitsha dialects spoken free of nasal sounds that makes the basics of Igbo Izugbe. However there's fusion of words from different dialects into spoken central Igbo and it has evolved over time. That claim of Owerri being part of it I'm yet to ascertain because Owerri Igbo is very deviated like Ngwa or Etche and there is no "t" or "s" in it.
Umuahia free of nasal sound? Wonders shall never end. Why do you guys derive joy in telling lies?
IMO state and Abia state dialects have the most nasalized dialects in Igbo land. Igbo Izugbe structure was based on Onicha axis Igbo while the vocabulary was based on central Igbo. Stop misleading people, you old man.

I don't want to join issues with you and this will be my last reply to ur chipmunk twaddles.... I made it known in my last reply dt as geographical area widen one don't expect a dialect to still be 100 percent homogenous, for instance in Uga in Anambra bordering Akokwa in IMO they will say "Nwehi" which means "here" while in akokwa the "N" is silent making its pronouciation to be "wehi"... If one don't pay more attention in the pronouciations or if the speakers are fast one may never be able to distinguish the difference... Dis is jus one out of many differences dt comes as geographical area widens but u can't use such difference to say this areas a distinctly different and it doesn't in any way cancels or deny ur Nri dispersing claims which u r exerting much adrenalin to protect...

Don't be the reason this ikas of Bini origins come here to make mockery of us... Face the facts and leave shadows!

Giving one or two examples is immaterial and does not mean similarity. I judged you based on your uninformed and ignorant statements and as a man you should suck it up and eat the humble pie.
I don't have problem with uniting ndị Igbo for economic advancement but don't attach yourself to other people who have already formed a unit, especially when they are content.
You guys should pay more attention to the image of your state. Omanbala is one indivisible unit and it will remain so.

Guy, lets get one thing straight before we can move forward. Rule number one, don't accuse me wrongly. Number two, speak with facts and dont make things up, I hate misinformation and the last part is why I confronted you.

Yes, I am from Anambra and from the lineage on Ụmụnri and that makes me very passionate about Ọmanbala the home of all Ụmụnri and our brothers scattered all over Igbo land.
I didn't come here to cause division but I can't sit while people miseducate and misinform people. If you are not sure of what you are talking about then you need to ask questions, instead of mixing up everything, thereby misinforming the onlookers.

I don't hate ndị Imo but I have come across a lot of ndị Imo that resent Omanbala people but it's ok, it doesn't bother me that much. Now, I know the towns of Anambra that bother Imo State, especially, Uli, Orsumoghu etc. These border towns have a lot of similarities due to their closeness but Chysler is talking about Ekwulobia an Aguata town with a very distinct dialect, same as Nanka, Aguluzoigbo... Dude is nothing but ignorant and he is proud of it. And he also dragged Nnewi into that. I know Nnewi uses some Imo - like vocabularies but you can spot an Nnewi man when they speak, you can't mistake them. Also Unubi, Amichi, Ụtụ, Orsumenyi etc. I know Orsu local government in Imo has some relationships with Anambra border towns but these guys on our side leans more to Anambraic culture than the other side. Come to think of it, it's very clear the pattern of migration went from north to south not the other way.

For your own education I must let you know Ekwulobia, Ezinifite are in Aguata while Umunze and Awgbu are in Orumba and these towns and Nnewi has nothing and absolutely nothing in common with any IMO state towns in areas of dialects. The only group in Anambra that has dialectical similarities with Orsu of IMO are Ihiala, Uli and co due to their closeness. Finally, there is nothing like Isu dialects because they are scattered all over Igbo land but they originated from Anambra.

Exactly.
Igbos really don't need presidency now. Igbos need to live in freedom, away from oppression from anyone. If Biafra is what freedom means, then we should all support it. If restructured Nigeria will bring freedom, then so be it.

That presidency thing is a mere distraction that can be tackled later. For now supporting a northern progressive such as Atiku will make more sense as we address this issue of treating Igbos as second class citizens of Nigeria and the SE as an alien territory.

Let us deal with the big issues first.
You have always been a great thinker and couldn't have said it any better. At least, I am relieved we have people who can actually sit the fuk down and analyze our conditions without being too emotional.
What Ndigbo need is to shun that ignorant talk of Igbo President because it makes us look ignorant, foolish and pathetic and focus on things we have control of. Like have all the eastern state form a synergy and motorize an aggressive economic revolution that will place the economy of this continent on our palms. Look at the Jews of the world and tell me how a very small group of immigrants gained control over the economy of the greatest country on earth without actually becoming a president.
Another example, black American cried and clamored for a black president as if it will change their situation and after 8yrs in power what change did having a black president bring to themhuh
They are still the poorest, uneducated and crime ridden and even while Obama was still in power blacks were being slaughtered like cows. Ndigbo think, because as soon as you land that Presidential seat you will never open your mouths again to complain. Let's be quiet and do so ground work.
