So when the NFF had candidates who were prepared treat the NFF like a company, to attract funding through sponsorship and other means, n they dont want him, but someone who has no clue what a football looks like was voted in! So why wont they depend on the Fed Govt for funding, I could remember Segun Odegbami who had great Ideas to keep the NFF independent and self sufficient but no! In the famous words of Fela - "Animal dey wear agbada"

SportsRe: Opinion: Africa Should Boycott The Next World Cup by omar22(m): 2:19pm On Jul 08, 2014
thegoodjoehunt: There was a possible intent to hurt Neymar by Zuniga and Fifa investigated it. Same with Suarez and Chiellini's case. All we are saying is that Fifa should stop the discrimination and do the same for Onazi. Leave all the other talks. Haba.
The ref dealt with Onazi case so FIFA cannot do anything about it, Naymar was a case of the whole of Brazil who cried foul but in the end FIFA threw it out, Suarez case the ref didnt see it thats why it went for a video review.
SportsRe: Opinion: Africa Should Boycott The Next World Cup by omar22(m): 2:04pm On Jul 08, 2014
thegoodjoehunt: We are talking of a possible intentional leg break which Maradona described as worse than Suarez bite. Fifcvestigated a case Maradona considers lesser. So we are asking why are they not investigating Onazi's case and give him the treatment they gave Neymar and Chilliness.
Now we should take the words of Maradona as Gospel

Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi, said a yellow card was the fair punishment for Blaise Matuidi for his tackle on Ogenyi Onazi.

The Frenchman’s ill-timed challenge left the Nigerian midfielder with a fractured ankle, which required a cast and is expected to keep him out of action for at least six weeks.
Nigeria midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has accepted an apology from France midfielder Blaise Matuidi for the horror tackle in Monday’s Round of 16 World Cup match in Brazilia.

The Lazio midfielder, who was stretchered off after the shocking challenge and suffered a double fracture on his leg, said he has forgiven the Frenchman via his official twitter account.

SportsRe: Opinion: Africa Should Boycott The Next World Cup by omar22(m):
diamond4life: when people succeed they praise themselves, but when they fail they blame others, what is fifa's fault in enyeama's mistake, or yobo's own goal, or cote divoire's failure to play very well and secure just a point against greece, or cameroun's indiscipline when a player even headbutt his team mate, or lack of world class talents that make this african teams fail.
Exactly!!!!

I could remember the 88th minute against Italy during the 1994 world cup, 2 minutes to go plus injury time and guess? what Augustin Eguavon wanted to nutmeg an Italian player at the edge of the penalty box, the ball was won and squared to Baggio who needed no invitation to inflict damage on us. Gianfranco Zola got a red card for something so petty and at worst a Yellow card but he got a Red, The Nigerian player rolling on the floor as if he was shot by a canon. Talking about injustice. I guess we should blame FIFA

In 1998 Okocha turned the 2nd round game into a one man show, the officials said no allowance since the President is dead. and the players lost their heads from the first minute against Denmark.

SportsRe: Opinion: Africa Should Boycott The Next World Cup by omar22(m): 7:23pm On Jul 07, 2014
abatically: Africa has 5 slots, not 3.
I know, it was increased to 5 when they increased the numbers from from 24 to 32
SportsRe: Opinion: Africa Should Boycott The Next World Cup by omar22(m): 7:10pm On Jul 07, 2014
Rossikki: You have zero common sense. Matuidi represents FRANCE - a white, European nation, and it is FRANCE that has its interests being promoted by a dishonest/corrupt FIFA. It is not the individual players' skin colour that matters. Surely you must know this or are you really that dumb and stupi.d??
You sound like someone who sold his car for fuel money. "If ignorance is bliss, you must be the happiest person alive" but "With your IQ, I don't think you would understand"
SportsRe: Opinion: Africa Should Boycott The Next World Cup by omar22(m): 6:57pm On Jul 07, 2014
thegoodjoehunt: If Africa was irrelevant, they would have not increased ours and increased the Asians. Asians still have Three slots, why we have Five. More of the slots would have been given to more European teams.

It will be a joke if you feel the merchandise sold by Adidas is only worn on the pitch. Please Adidas has a large African market. They market their goods in Africa.
The continent of Africa has 52 countries and to have 3 slots out of 32 sounds totally unfair and Sepp Blatter doesn't need Europe to win the next 5 elections because he will get his votes from the Latin world, Asia and Africa, these were Mr Blatters promises when campaigning to become the FIFA president when Joao Havalenge retired. Its got nothing to do the African Market, How many replica shirt is sold in Africa? not many, actually low. ADIDAS makes more money from the Springbok (South African Cricket team) than football in Africa, The Jabulani was a huge flop

SportsRe: Opinion: Africa Should Boycott The Next World Cup by omar22(m): 5:37pm On Jul 07, 2014
thegoodjoehunt: After increasing it to 32, Fifa should not have increased the African slot and filled it up with only European teams, so Ibrahimovic and Lewandowski can play.

Please Africans are needed to promote a global image and increase viewers from our continent.
Look Africa got more slots when the numbers grew, even when we had one team at the world cup, the whole of Africa watched the world cup In teams of marketing Adidas is the official sporting outlet that sponsors FIFA, less than half of the teams in Africa use ADIDAS
SportsRe: Opinion: Africa Should Boycott The Next World Cup by omar22(m): 1:45pm On Jul 07, 2014
thegoodjoehunt: Do you know FIFA invite African countries to create a global image. It is a global tournament. Also with Africans participating, more fans get involved with the tournament. Africa provides hundreds of million viewers.

So if you think the tournament is just about star players and popular names, Fifa would not have increased the Number of African teams to Five from Three.
The number went from 3 - 5 teams when the competition was expanded from 24 to 32 teams, they also gave extra slots to Concacaf, Asia, Ocania and South America and Europe lost a slot
