Celebrities › Re: Is Genevieve Not Being Overated? by omar22(m): 9:26am On Oct 11, 2010
Overrate or underrated! I don’t know but she knows her level the phrase “One eye man is king in the country of the blind” comes to mind, would you put Genevieve in the same category as these actresses Michelle Gyllenhaal, Vivica Fox, Nia Long, Malinda Williams, LisaRaye McCoy-Misick, Monica Calhoun, Essence Atkins, Elizabeth Berkley, Tiffani Thiessen etc. NO NO NO and these are the lowest ranked actresses in Hollywood. Genevieve she could be good but good for Nollywood if she was that good she would show some sort of ambition and breakaway from her comfort zone…

2nd largest in what? = bollocks. 2nd largest of what? = bollocks
1 film has part 1 to 20 4/6, or dem go change part 4-6 name/title 2 wotever and call it part 1-3 but we all know its part 4-6 = bollocks

because dem dey act or bring out over 3 billion too many movies in a week makes dem 2nd largest? acting skill = 0, actors/actresses = 0, storyline = 0, directing = 0, production = 0, film quality = 0, everything = 0. kisses teeth

yeah who cares
how many of u
watch the local league anyway
Its been coming, its got nothing to do with the league, I could remember 2or3 months ago during the election for the chairman of the NFF, and the asked each state fa to nominate a candidate this gave the initiative to the government to get involved, the NFF is been used as a cash for some people, a certain year the NFF and NPL fought bitterly of the money from the phone compan to promote the league, I guess until when one of these ban hits home then we would clean up our house,

Investigators accuse former federation president Sani Lulu, ex-vice president Amanze Ugbulam, former technical committee member Taiwo Ogunjobi and ex-general secretary Bolaji Ojo-Oba of embezzling more than $6 million in tournament funding.

The four are accused of buying inferior buses for the team and keeping the remaining money. They also purportedly paid out $800,000 in travel costs for 220 delegates to the World Cup in South Africa. Of those, only 47 were federation officials with the rest being the men's "friends, associates, girlfriends and relations," said Femi Babafemi, a spokesman for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Sports › Re: Beautiful Pictures Of Teslim Balogun Stadium by omar22(m): 9:50am On Oct 02, 2010
All am trying to say is that we (Nigerian) tend to waste a lot of money on project and during the project handover you start to think whether we have been short changed the Abuja stadium with all the mini building added to it, its too expensive, Stade 7 November Stadium that was a similar size with all the complexes for the2001 Mediterranean Games cost far less, The Manchester Complex for the 2002 Commonwealth games cost far less,

Back to the Teslim Balogun, we deserve better, not a replica of the old dutch stadiums

Abuja, which is bidding to host the second most-important sporting event in the world, will now fancy its chances in the race.
So which one is the first the the FIFA world cup or the Olympic games
Sports › Re: Nsofor Nominated For Caf African Player Of The Year Award by omar22(m): 10:04am On Oct 01, 2010
I hate hearing arguments like this
Point to a Nigerian player that deserved it and was not given. Please don't tell me Okocha played better than Eto'o in 2003-2005.
When Nigerians were dominating it(Rashidi 1993, Amuneke 1994, Kanu 1996, Ikpeba 1997, JJ 2nd by one vote in 1998, kanu 1999 - 5 years in a row, only Weah came in 1995 & Hadji 1998, others were Nigerians), was it not the same Hayatou that was there.

The earlier we realize that our football, and players, has suffered serious decline and we are now only in the class of Zambia, Mozambique, Benin Republic, the better for us.
Tell me what Eto did in 2003 At Majorca? Compared to what Jay Jay did for Bolton that same season? I couldn’t careless about the other years… Now tell when was the FIFA election? Was it 2001 or 2002… The 2007 award was handed to Kanute because Drogba said he couldn’t leave his team (training camp) and attend an award… The award is a joke in the first place and I don’t know about the previous years but the 2003 award was political motivated. Yes I know Eto is very good and I think he deserve the World player of the year award when Ronaldinho won the award the second time but in 2003… naah fresh in the mind of the Cameroonians what Nigeria and some other countries did during the voting… Nigeria wanted to Host the 2010 Nations Cup instead but lost to Angola… I know our infrastructure is poor but Angola its like saying England loosing a world cup bid to Bulgaria…, Before they gave us the 17 world cup as compensation

God go bless you,

Exactly we celebrate average and mediocrity

Nobody builds open bowls stadiums unless its Miami or Florida that has all year round sun shine,

Its not even OK to me,

Why build in the track when theirs track next door across the road,
TV/Movies › Re: Nollywood Now Second Largest Movie Industry In The World by omar22(m): 9:28am On Sep 30, 2010
You must change Movie to Home Movie VCD production,

If the Indian Cinema industry rakes in an average of $1.3bn a year
If the US cinema industry raked in $10.65bn in 2009

Then we have the Canadian, British, French, Australian etc

Tell me how much the SECOND BIGGEST MOVIE IND (Nolly-who). made?

Because Nolly took a meaniless storyline or copied storyline movie and split into 4 parts doesnt mean they are the biggest,
Sports › Re: Beautiful Pictures Of Teslim Balogun Stadium by omar22(m): 6:50am On Sep 30, 2010
To me the stadium looks like something built
by the Chinese or Bulgarians from the 1970s.
Exactly and people are going ooh aah over something that looks like US College stadium, someone earlier said its the Lagos emirate! stadium,

when you look at Cardiff a second division clubs new stadium that's similar in size but took around 2 years to complete at  next to nothing ($48m) and could be increased to 50k capacity,  compared something that looks like an open bowl (they dont build those type of stadiums anymore) which represent a cash cow for politicians

When you have the Abuja stadium that cost $360m a 60k capacity and the Millenium stadium in Wales at the cost of $121m at 75k capacity and could have its roof closed off for indoor events you would think someone owes us some serious changehuh?

MR CORRECTIONER,

Why the "DUMBO" ?.?.? Undecided

Has he no right to his opinion anymore?
If you follow through the guys thread you would see how he accused me over my comments!!! all I said is that we cant keep on Crawling anymore, This is a stadium that took 23 years to complete!!! Costing over N1bn for 23000+ capacity,

When you look at Soccer city in SA or the Bird Cage in China that took less than 5 years to complete and we are talking about 90000+ all seater stadiums,
Sports › Re: Beautiful Pictures Of Teslim Balogun Stadium by omar22(m): 4:18pm On Sep 29, 2010
first appreciate this one,to the fool that posted the brazil stadium shey we go crawl first before we run!!you should have seen how that teslim balogun stadium was before, its a good improvement joh,
Dumbo, for how long are you going to crawl? How old is Teslim Balogun stadium? 3 years completed in 2007 since it started in 1984, why do a stadium needs to be refurbished when its still 2 years old?
Sports › Re: Beautiful Pictures Of Teslim Balogun Stadium by omar22(m): 3:54pm On Sep 29, 2010
If it's d one of a white man, you'll praise the HELL out of it.
So someone cant have an opinion,  the stadium was recently complete lets compare it with one thats a year old than the one opposite (national stadium)

The Vicente Calderon was built in 1971 compare it to Teslim Balogun or the National stadium that was built in 1972,

This is not a case praising what a white man does

Ok The Rio de Jeniro (the Maracana) was built in 1950  and Brazilians are not White see how they maintained it

I saw a Nigerian version of Tyler Perry's Diary of a Mad Black Woman

I was in Nigeria when the whole watching this movie but out of anger I told them how its going to end,

It was like a shock to everyone, the acting was disgusting and it looked so amatuerish when you have seen the original copy and trying to see how well they (nollywood) would execute the parts,

I have seen a Bollywood version of Samuel L Jackson's and ben Afflecks Changing lanes. but it was better than if Nollywood would have acted it

told us that they only saw a few people from Nollywood. Chidi Mokeme, Stella Damasus, Zik Zulu Okafor, and, no one else. I expected to see the likes of Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Stephanie Okereke, Ini Edo and the rest, but Stella Damasus was the only actress at the launch.
Its a music CD, Omo-sexy need to see the who's who in the music world not the movie world and lunching a CD charging N1m for a table is head scratching

The award is for Jan to Dec, and Essien has been missing since last Dec to August this year, the award is a joke like the leader, I know since Nigeria decided not to vote for him for the FIFA president he has had his agenda against us, but all in all that list is a joke Kalou a bench warmer, Adebayour caused more trouble than playing, Kolo Toure was a joke in defence at Citeh!, Obina Nuff said!!!

Celebrities › Re: Hollywood Rejects Actress Tonto Dikeh by omar22(m): 6:55am On Sep 24, 2010
Omotala is a definite No, NO (body wise) Genevie can get minute role (Have to lose that accent). Patient, Stephenie, Nadia, Jackie Appiah & Rita all stand a better chance. I see them getting roles on Law & Order. Nkem Owoh would do well as a New York crazy cabbie in a movie.
Its hard disagree but who am I to judge?

But in reality. you are right because when you look at the blacks that wins an Oscar they would have go from one limit to the other, so can you imagine what they would go through before they get a role in a blockbuster movie! when you have Bollywood stars who are far better than their Nollywood counterparts and only a handful gets a role in Hollywood then Nollywood stars have a long way to go, but on the other hand not many are motivate to go that far in their career, because most of the ladies are used to the eyes rolling, looking down at people, one way of acting to all roles, The harsh truth is that if a role that requires an African, well can you imagine Sophie Okenedo and Genevieve going for one role? theirs only one winner, or can you Imagine Djimon Gaston Hounsou or Ramsey going for one role? basically like some one said unless if they are looking for cheap actors / actress to do cameo roles like a house maid or cab driver, its Bad news for Nollywood stars
