Over here in UK, Phil McCarthy the former Ireland manager was just criticising the hopeless play of our players for 70 mins!

DID YOU WATCH THE MATCH?

Argentina used us as training day passing material and the players played like if they were not interestd for 70 mins.

Poor touch!

Poor passes!

Getting closed down!

Poor marking!

Even poor throwins!

Lousy freekicks and corner kicks!

Keeper saving 5 goals!

WHADDAFUCK are you talking about?
SPOT ON,

We made Argentina look very good,

I would rather watch Terry G's free madness than watching some 3 hours garbage.

3hrs!!!!!! would be lost forever and you cant get it back,

I would rather watch "paint dry" than to watch someone rolling her eyes shouting at the house girl for no reason,
TV/Movies › Re: New Film On Fela: Ejiofor Takes Lead Role, As D’banj Fails by omar22(m): 4:00pm On Jun 11, 2010
Did Chinwetel even know about Fela before the auditioning?
Did Forest Whittiker knew about Idi Amin before he took the role?

I guess Ben Kingsley met up with Ghandi before he took the role

I guess James Patrick Caviezel met Jesus Christ before he acted in the passion of Christ
TV/Movies › Re: Nollywood Videos Vs Naija Music Videos by omar22(m): 3:44pm On Jun 11, 2010
Guy. . . Do you know the effort that goes into production of that 5min video? Multiply that effort into 90mins,
Oh please!!!! Musical video has a lot of editing, Choreograph, arrangement sound editing, costume etc, a Nollywood movie is just your camera, and you remembering your lines, I have seen a nollywood movie been shot before!!! so unprofessional
TV/Movies › Re: New Film On Fela: Ejiofor Takes Lead Role, As D’banj Fails by omar22(m): 11:45am On Jun 11, 2010
I could remember about a year ago when the rumour about the Biafra war is going to be a Hollywood blockbuster, that’s when people started coming up with Gene should be this, Ini Edo should be that, Dominic Rita should play this and so and so… I wanted to say SHUT THE FU*K UP!!!! To everyone, I have seen 3 different movies of Muhammad Ali and the first 2 cannot be compared to the one Will Smith acted in and that’s my fear! Because a movie is a story of a certain region doesn’t mean someone from another region cannot do the movie justice… Ben Kingsley won an Oscar award for playing Ghandi!!! And I mean the INDIAN GHANDI…. An English man playing the role of an Indian man. Some people need to think outside of the box see beyond Nollywood, broaden their horizon.

Ejiofor

Is the best Nigeria has to offer
TV/Movies › Re: New Film On Fela: Ejiofor Takes Lead Role, As D’banj Fails by omar22(m): 4:42pm On Jun 10, 2010
This oyibo them no get sense at all . Why choose their own puppet trained in their way of doing things to depict Fela in a movie . I may not know this Ejiofor guy but D'banj has the Fela kind of Energy and would have done better playing the role .
Because its a movie of Fela, it doesnt mean it would be a re-run of "sounds of music", why didnt they ask a singer to act the Role of Ray Charles, or why didnt they ask a boxer to play the role of Muhammed Ali or Ruben "Hurricane" Carter, alot of people here tend to show there ignorance,

Can D'banj play the role of Fela, fighting the industry, the government, going to jail, studied in England? NO NO NO,

Am sorry the producer of the movie wants a blockbuster not a Nollywood home movie!!!

Sports › Re: Adidas Is Not Marketing The Super Eagles Like Its Other Customers by omar22(m): 11:05pm On Jun 08, 2010
If am correct adidas start doing our jersey when we qualified for the 1994 world cup, and if am correct the deal was around $100k but i might be wrong,  Nigeria should have changed long time ago, but I see more Nigerian tops been produced somewhere in Agege,  so business wise they dont seem to make much from a country that has 150m people,  Now to leave Adidas for PUMA,  then we are looking for trouble because Adidas and Puma were brothers over 50 years ago and there rivalry split the whole family down the middle,  now Adidas is one of FIFA's Aristo (sponsors) which mean Sepp Blatter could look for a way to punish us indirectly! remember cameroun and their sleaveless top,  FIFA only punished them because it was a production of PUMA
TV/Movies › Re: $40 Million Movie 'Sole Redemption' To Be Filmed In Ekiti by omar22(m): 12:52pm On Jun 08, 2010
Sometimes movies are shot in countries with which the storyline has no relation. A good example is the Lord of the Rings partly shot in New Zealand. . . the title doesn't seem to be connected to 'Africanness' so we'll just have to wait and see. I think it will be good for Ekiti, if there's no exploiting.

TV/Movies › Re: Nollywood Videos Vs Naija Music Videos by omar22(m): 10:10am On Jun 08, 2010
Spot on,

In the music industry more money is invested in it, a lot of thought goes into it, but the same cannot be said about the movies, I saw a Nollywood movie that they used a toy Helicopter!!!! that crashed into a flowing river that was 2 feet wide, Thats when I gave up, but Musical video's theirs been a lot of creativity and they are improving by the day,

N Korea were denied a legimate penalty

When I said Amodu shouldnt take us to the Nations cup my head was bitten off we would have had enough time to prepare more players to look at, some players would surely be focusng on their holidays, because Lars would have seen the players play in a mini tournament,

What is so special about Anichebe anyway? This guy is still young for God's sake.
He can still make the next 2 editions of the World Cup if he is fit.
Its due to people like you, players like Pappi Kanu and Yakubu could walk into the national team without no problem,  The whole WORLD were saying atleast theirs one Nigerian player (Anichebe) we could say we know his age,   Kanu moves across the field like someone who has wlked across the sahara, Victor would burst his guts for the shirt, no wonder Rahidi Yekini called the current team spineless,

Sports › Nigerian Football Association Lied About Anichebe's Omission by omar22(op): 6:03pm On Jun 01, 2010
Everton can confirm Victor Anichebe has not suffered serious injury whilst on international duty.

The 22-year-old Everton forward was omitted from the Super Eagles' World Cup squad on Sunday and today (Tuesday) reports in the media suggested Anichebe's omission was as a result of a shin injury picked up in last week's international friendly with Saudi Arabia.

Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, the chairman of the technical committee at the Nigerian Football Federation, reportedly told the Nigerian Tribune Anichebe was left out of Lars Lagerback's 23-man World Cup squad because of injury.

Everton can confirm the injury, reported in some media outlets as a 'cracked chin', is actually nothing more serious than a bruised shin.

Anichebe was selected as the man of the match in the friendly against Saudi Arabia but didn't feature against Colombia on Sunday in the Super Eagles' final World Cup warm-up match.

Can you imagine they ask a Nollywood star to loose weight for a role, like Rene Zellwegger had to up to nearly 20 stones for her role in Brigette Jones movie
