I don't understand African's obsession with European coaches when I have never seen an African coach with a European team.
Name me a Nigerian coach that has performed well with the national team in the last 30 years?
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 11:03pm On Jun 13, 2010
And so?

So if Rio or Sol Campbell score a goal, they are automatically people to use as strikers when you need to score.

Come off it, mate
huh huh huh huh huh huh

Am out!!!
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 10:46pm On Jun 13, 2010
Stop creating excuses.

Pique is 6'3, and Ibrahimovic is 6'5 AND A STRIKER. So which kitchen of height should he be throwing in attack?

Come off it, mate
Who scored their only goal in the Nou Camp?

Nelson Pique!!!!

After he was told to move upwards,

Look either way it still doesnt change the fact that Amodu is a looney coach
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 10:35pm On Jun 13, 2010
Pique the CENTRE BACK!!!! ROFLMAO  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

So what happened to throwing in another striker?
Look when you want to throw the kitchen sink at a team you need HEIGHT and the only option they have is Borjan who is 5 feet nothing, Jose Mourinho would tell John Terry to move and partner Drogba when it becomes desperate, does this mean he is inept
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 10:21pm On Jun 13, 2010
You must also think Guardiola that won CL is inept. He did worse when Barcelona was losing to Inter in the CL at Milan. He removed Ibrahimovic and brought in Abidal.
Thats a 2 legged situation, taken off Ibrahimovic could also mean that Pique could go and play as a striker
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 10:09pm On Jun 13, 2010
Amodu built a team that played 9 games in a roll without conceding a goal scored by opposition but was vituperated for drawing with Mozambique because some morons taught the Giant of Africa should beat Mozambique by multiple goals in Maputo where the players of Moz sell guguru.

Every slowpoke in the press jumped on the bandwagon after this because as a black man he is not allowed a single error even after winning 6 straight games (home and away) without conceding a goal.
Nigeria were GRINDING OUT wins

The game that gave us the ticket (through the back door) every cross that came in led to a goal for the kenyan but we had to rely on the game in Maputo

Nigeria went 2-1 against Tunisia with minutes to go Amodu sat down and did nothing knowing the most vulnerable time to conceed a goal is when we just scored, still over-whelmed about the goal we scored Tunisia scored,
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 9:52pm On Jun 13, 2010
See Australia taking a throw in in their half. FIVE Germans marking one player each were within 5 yards of the place.

In yesterday's match, Nigeria would have 2 players marking 5 Argies and the two would watch them chest the ball, put it on the knee, trap it before they think of even moving close.

What a great improvement.
#

Compare that to when we where 2-1 down against Egypt! guess what "Coco the clown" (aka Amodu) did he swap a holding player for another holding player, Thats what I call an Inept manager who cant manage a rat race

I don't find conjectures reliable. I deal with facts.

To me, making such claims and refusing to devulge sources is an example of the typical Nigerian calumnation to bring another man down. Our politicians do it alot.
Bring who down? AMODU!!! do you honestly believe I give a **** about Amodu!!! when you talk about football managers, please dont mention Amodu

Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 7:23pm On Jun 13, 2010
Loses dressing room = Conjecture

Brown envelope = Conjecture

If not, prove it.
dont worry about it, I have my sources and they are reliable ones
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 7:03pm On Jun 13, 2010
Amodu did not meet his target and minimal capability of these mediocre players, I would say sack him. But he did. He should have been given the chance and time to build that to meet their potential. Something his replacement has not been able to reach and has not improved. I knew no non-world class coach can do better than Amodu in under one year.
Look

When a manager looses the dressing room, theirs only one solution, the manager walks or gets fired,

not only that he lost the dressing room, he benched some players because they didnt give him a brown envelope

Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 5:31pm On Jun 13, 2010
Shape and pattern that led to one-on-one on keeper 6 times? And about 4 shots missing by inches or keeper diving to save? All in 90 mins, not 4 games?
Because they were better than us,

Arsenal had the shape, pattern everything Barcelona still put 4 past them
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 4:51pm On Jun 13, 2010
Sagamite

It wasnt that bad, I know that your doing everything to make Lagerback look as bad as Amodu!!

The Gospel truth is that Amodu is not fit to manage a beer parlour, I know the quality of our players is poor and you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, but atleast we had a shape or pattern but under Amodu we were a joke!!!

Sagamite,

There are some teams who wont chase the ball willy nilly knowing that you cant hurt them but just to save energy

you admit you were dominated but yet he is a "brilliant coach".

White arse kissing fooooool!
Inter Milan was dominated by Barcelona and Munich

Jose is fantastic coach
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 3:56pm On Jun 13, 2010
Anichebe
He would have made Demicheli and Samuel (Argies defenders) work for their money like Heskey did for England, Yakubu runs ass if he wearing a wet pampers
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 3:41pm On Jun 13, 2010
So if what you are saying is true, and assuming it's true, then the bulk of our team should have been our "U-17" players; at least we can safely assume that they are not older than 25.
Look Agahowa and Xavi both played in Nigeria 99, the Agahowa i saw at Wigan 2 seasons ago looked like a player who started playing the same time Rashidi Yekini started playing, David Moyes of Everton now is making fun of Yakubu's age, Avram Grant joking said Kanu is 55, but in his heart he would know that Kanu is not 33
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 3:31pm On Jun 13, 2010
Yesterday we had:

Poor touch!

Poor passes!

Poor shooting!

Argies closing down and we losing the ball!

Poor marking!

Even poor throw ins for god sake!

Poor team work!

Lousy freekicks and corner kicks! (A friend on mine said the worst he had seen in his life)

Players not running into the box!

Keeper saving our arse after repeated penetrations!

Players waiting for the ball when passed to them and letting Argies intercept!

Predictable team list and formation!

And no willingness to compete for most parts of the game!
Thats what you get when you a take knife to a gun fight!!!   Our age cheating is catching up with us very fast how do you expect an old man to run an average of 10 miles per game
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 3:25pm On Jun 13, 2010
If we had not had to play Mozambique before Tunisia, he would had not had this much heat and pressure. Mozambique have proven to be tough as even CIV could not beat them and Tunisia did not lose but where destroyed. They were out-classed, only one shot on goal, and I doubt anyone that knows about football and have seen Tunisia play would say they are not a good team
Mozambique is a high altitude region (thin air) and every team thought they should just turn up and play, knowing that most team had to arrive in South Africa just to climatise this was my Mozambique played a major part in who qualifies to the WC

I tell you why I say Lagerbeer is useless. You do not play zoning system like robots, for set pieces you have to pick up the runners, thats why heinze had a free header. Anyway whats happened to you why are you feeling sorry for Lagerbeer. Before before nah thunder you for take fire am.
WHAT!!! zoning system is a managers preference it works for some it doesnt work for the other, The zoning set up doesnt include the guy marking Heinze who went to sleep, another ref would have giving a foul against Samuel,

@ Amodu's love child, i think you need to get a grip, a team that could retain possession could make you run around like a headless chicken and chasing Argentina around is not the answer, we had to contain them and try and nick a goal, The eagles today has been far better than the one we have seen in the last 2 nations cup, but with Stability theirs progression, after the world cup Lagerback is out Amodu is back or the Biology teacher, and that sets us back another 5 years,

In-game?

I have seen Amodu make subs in SEVERAL games that resulted in goals from the new player or the new player creating it.

I am yet to see this in Lagerback, but he has only been in charge of 1 game.
You didnt answer the question!!!

All  we did for 45 minutes was watch Argentina do whatever they wanted with the ball. Go back and watch the game!!
I was critical after the match but come to think of it we had to play it tight,  but not many teams try to go toe to toe with barcelona and thats what happened here, with S Korea we would have to jump on them but they would put our fitness to test, Greece have an experience manager who who would expose our weakness in the team,
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 6:38pm On Jun 12, 2010
The performanc was no better than the worst performances under Amodu.

He could have achieved the same result. Lagerback is lucky we came away without 5 to 6 nil.

It was Enyeama that prevented that, not his formation or tactics.
Oh please!!!!!!!! If we had sacked Amodu before that nations cup we could have a much more stronger team "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear" The manager had to work with the players available to him I know Lars started with a more cagey team but his substitution were positive, Whereas against Egypt at the Nations cup we are loosing and Amodu swaped a Holding player for another holding player.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 6:25pm On Jun 12, 2010
If Amodu was the coach  and we played like this, and you said everything you say here. You would have been slaughtered for not knowing Amodu na mumu that messed us up
Amodu would have lost heavily, because Amodu's team had no shape, no pattern, you would have to pay to be in the starting line up
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina: [0 - 1] On June 12, 2010 @ World Cup by omar22(m): 5:55pm On Jun 12, 2010
At the begining I thought Ramon Domenech was our manager when I saw the selection,
