Sports › Re: From London: Official Super Eagle Team List by omar22(m): 2:27pm On May 31, 2010
Maradona dropped Zenetti and Cambiaso why? because they have younger replacement, Nigeria kept Kanu in the team a flop at both 1998 & 2002 and every single Nations cup since 2002, Theirs a reason why aragonis dropped Raul and Morinetes for Euro 2008,  Theirs a reason we failed to qualify for the 2006 WC? because we lacked vision,

Just too bad,

Sports › High Altitude Zone: Are The Team Preparing For The Impact Of The Zone? by omar22(op): 12:27pm On May 20, 2010
Has anyone consider the fact that we are going to be playing in a high altitude zone and all I see is zero preparation to combat the effect this would have on our players, all the participating countries are now camped in a high altitude region but the Super Eagle are where? I now the next friendly is going to take place around East London, WHY? The South American teams most of them are based in Ecuador, Bolivia or in an area high above sea level… England and the French team have gone to Austria, some are sleeping in oxygen tents,

But if we think we could turn up without acclimatising ourselves we would be out of the tournament before a ball is been kicked… Remember the Super Eagles performance in Mozambique? Yes very poor and when you strike the ball in such area / zone the ball flies and moves so fast…. This was why our opponents were hitting long range shots at us…, ,

I think we are flirting with a hammering

Kanu has got a new contract with Pompey, if he thinks the Premier League is hard then the championship is harder
Sports › Re: Eagles To Pocket N700m As Allowances, Bonuses If They Win World Cup by omar22(m): 8:46am On May 20, 2010
For instance, each of the 23 players who make the final cut for the tournament will be entitled to a daily allowance of $200. A month's stay in South Africa would, therefore, mean that a player would receive $6,000 alone in daily allowances.
Lets hope they pay the players or else, remember what the Togolese pleyers did until FIFA decided to pay the players out the match allowance they were entitle to, Remember Mali 2002 when Oliseh started a riot and he was kicked out of the squad because of this payment,

Crime › Nigerian Rapist Attacks Woman After Only 10 Days In The UK by omar22(op): 10:15pm On May 12, 2010
A SEX attacker who targeted a businesswoman as she ran on Hackney Marshes was captured by a group of footballers after they heard her screams.

Adelani Akamo, 23, had only been in Britain for 10 days when he clubbed the 33-year-old with a lump of wood and dragged her into bushes.

The Nigerian, who is here on a student visa, battered her face and head before assaulting her.
He struck as scores of Sunday League football matches being played on some of the area's 88 pitches were ending.

The players heard the victim's cries and wrestled Akamo to the ground, holding him until police arrived.

Judge Simon Freeland QC, jailing Akamo for seven years, said: “The fact is that these offences amount in aggregate terms to a chilling and terrifying attack on an innocent member of the public, going about her own business in preparation for a marathon run.”

Recommending Akamo's deportation on release, the judge said: “Your continued presence in this country is to its obvious detriment. It would be contrary to the public interest for you to remain in this country.”

The married victim, a successful businesswoman, said her personal life and career had been devastated by the attack.

In a statement read by prosecutor Brendan Morris, she said: “Family life has suffered and the financial strain is now taking greater effect.”

Asked how her life had been affected, she replied: “The only answer I can give is, what life? I cannot live, I don't exist.

“While I still wear her clothes, live in her house and share her professional title, I am not that woman.”

John Townsend, defending, said Akamo, who admitted wounding with intent and sexual assault, had not planned the attack in September last year.

But Judge Freeland described the assault as “sustained, frenzied and premeditated”, telling Akamo: “You knew precisely what you were doing.”

When you think of someone who spent N000's to acquire his student visa, documents and part of his university fees, the first thing he could think off is raping!! he thought that he could get away with it, like they do in Nigeria, what waste,

(he was notably nowhere to be found in the 6-1 loss to Bolivia)
I believe Portugal JUST qualified, the Bolivia loss was down to Maradona who doesnt know what he was doing and due to the thinness of the air (sea level) hardly any team leaves Bolivia and Equador with a draw

It sounds Like D'banj was granted the privilege of dining with Gene a  few times and he decided to fabricate a Lie about their dating. No be Nigerian men? Anything to boost Ego.
Someone who has mixed with the who's who in the music world, Gene is like small potatoes compared to the people D'banj roll with,

Gene is what we call a "local Champion"
