Basically, everyone aspires to be a celebrity and to be popular and loved by the masses. when you look on tv, the people you mainly see are white with fair skin and long hair. Whenever you see a black character, they are either the criminals or playing something that is not sophisticated. So human nature pushes the weak minded people with inferiority complex to bleach because they think being fair skinned will give them an advantage in life.
