You don't like that line? Does it strike a cord? You know, they say that an old woman is never comfortable when dry bones are mentioned in a story?
You are making a fool of yourself. Try and say something reasonable- impress your fans at least. Stop attacking me personally.

Can't you manage to at least address a single point raised by discussants?? Are you that sluggish upstairs?? How has both comments you've made enriched the discussion here??

Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised after all. It is just typical of you lot. You can't but throw inane tantrums when confronted with superior arguments. Do as you please, na your palaver.

Good night.

Dude, folks like you are too emotional and mentally handicapped to make any meaningful contribution to threads like this that require some level of hindsight.

You do best on ethnic/tribal related threads. Keep to what you do best and stop embarrassing yourself coming here to throw profanities around.

Thanks.

Foreign Affairs › Re: US and EU Officially Lift Nuclear Related Sanctions On Iran by omenka(op): 7:32pm On Jan 17, 2016
Observant:
PMB was voted in at the wrong time, he would have been the best person to manage our economy at the time of oil boom. At least we would have been sure of good federal roads as contractors won't dare embezzlement such funds. But now with an all time low of crude with no gain at site there is very little he can do.

I don't consider him one to be economically savy to pull the country out of this mess. Not the less I am happy the oil is fading to nothing so Nigeria can reconstitute itself for better productivity.
The bold has always been my regret as well. I couldn't stop imagining what might have been had we achieved this feat of regime change in 2011!! Now we have a full blown crisis in our hands.

Just earlier this evening, watching cnn make analysis of the ramifications of the deal, they stated Saudi Arabia has already started a regime of price reduction for the oil it sells to the US to counter the impending competition from Iran!! Imagine that!! Imagine the implication for global oil prices in general and Nigeria in particular.

Honestly, our only saving grace now is agriculture and mining. We need to run back to the drawing board asap.

Such a pity. The apple indeed doesn't fall far from the tree.

Well, indeed, what is going on is a lot more than meets the eye. There are surely some forces out there that desperately want to see Tompolo dead. If I were him, I'd submit myself to the authorities and let them do the rest. I'm sure he has some privileged info on who's behind these latest attacks on oil installations.

Some people, for reason of their sinister agenda, desire to promote an escalation of the situation. They imagine bringing Tompolo on a collision course with the government would hasten the realisation of some inordinate pipe dream. They wanna use Tompolo to fight fight a proxy war with the Government, but apparently, the warlord wants none of it. Hell he's tasted the good life, why would he wanna throw all that away for nothinghuh

More and more, the suspicion of some folks around here as regards those responsible this act of extremism and wanton destruction is being validated/confirmed.

Only time will tell.

I don't feel pity for her. Yesterday I met a grown man whose wife needed 18,500 to be healed. She gave birth to twins that morning but began bleeding afterwards. The man was almost weeping as he begged someone to give him money because he had just 4k in his account.

Those are the kinds that deserve our pity, not these ones that have repatriated our common wealth and left the common man to die. They have almost eliminated the middle class; so broad is the divide between the Haves and Have Nots.

Why do they go abroad to treat themselves if out healthcare system was sound? At the slightest sign of prosecution, they suddenly start falling sick left, right and centre.

They can all die for all I care, but before they do, they should submit our money and anyone that wants to embezzle that submitted money ehn, ehn, ehn, wo, I decree cancer upon them! angry
I perfectly understand dear. Trust me, I despise these guys more than you do knowing just how much deprivation their acts have cause the ordinary man. The other day, I came across a groundnut hawker in a filling station, asked why she was where she was when she should be in school and her reply couldn't be more surprising- she didn't have N500 to pay for school fees (said she attends one of those UBE schools).

Had only N3000 on me since I was on my way to the office and wanted to use all of it on fuel. Luckily, the attendant had yet to pour more than N2000, so I asked him to stop at N2500 while I gave the little girl the N500. Don't know if she lied, I cared less because I know those things do happen.

I couldn't stop cursing our so called leaders as I drove out of the gas station. cheesy

But mehn, when I look at that picture (Alison's), it sorta evokes some sympathy in me. Whatever it is, I just hope she gets well and return whatever it is she acquired illegally off the Nigerian state.

Be that as it may, HungerBad said something on page1. Sounds somewhat plausible if you ask me. cheesy

This is indeed terrible.
I really care less if my thread makes fp, but I get really irritated when something of that importance is ignored when pictures of one stupid so called celebrity smoking shisha, or pictures the ex Girlfriend of a celebrity keep making fp.

It is simply irritating.

Nairaland's mods only know how to push meaningless, irrelevant and petty nonsense to the FP, e.g Genevive wears a new dress, Lil Kesh buys a new pair of sneakers blah, blah, blah.
The mod who banned this must have scored abysmally low marks in English Language Comprehension when he or she was in secondary school.
It is terrible honestly!! Read my last post on this thread www.nairaland.com/2870351/us-eu-officially-lift-nuclear and see I expressed exactly the same sentiment.

I created that thread in the politics sections. It has been a headline news on international media, with vast implications on our country. After mentioning the mods, they simply came, moved it to foreign affairs, and left it to die there!!

Such a big shame.

May God strengthen Magu to see this to a logical conclusion.
Foreign Affairs › Re: US and EU Officially Lift Nuclear Related Sanctions On Iran by omenka(op): 4:02pm On Jan 17, 2016
Seun why have your mods refused to take this important item which has been making international headlines since yesterday to the fphuh They even had to move it down here to knowing too well that would kill it.

Was hoping one could have some sensible discussions about its implications to the Nigerian economy.

Isn't this better than threads about some stupid pictures of "celebrities" doing stupid things that always get moved to the fp??

Why are important discussions being deliberately stifled here??

Bro, can you help me out? I was just wondering, why is it that the drop in the price of crude oil is not reflecting in the price of it's refined products especially here in Nigeria?
It is the same reason why constructing a 1km bridge in the industrialised world would cost less than it would in our clime- availability of complementary infrastructure.

If we can develop our rail or pipeline delivery system sufficiently to handle massive transport of those commodities, we would no doubt see a corresponding decline in the cost of haulage and cost at the pump.

My theory.

What they did on this thread is downright shameful. Even those who hardly have anything to say on the forum, be it foolish or intelligent, hid behind the frontline of the mob to throw molotov cocktails at the subject. I'm glad Mynd showed up to put a leash on them.

The mob action being displayed on this thread even by supposed enlightened adults is just disgraceful. Thread running into 10 pages with people lynching just one man because he dared to hold a different opinion from them.

This is the height of pettiness and barbarism. I see the same treatment being handed down to him in real life by those involved in this show of shame using machetes, clubs, etc.

Mynd44, isn't it time you stepped in. Rule 2 which states and I quote:

2. Don't abuse, bully, deliberately insult/provoke, fight, or wish harm to Nairaland members OR THEIR TRIBES.

is being flagrantly violated here.
