Thank you Mr President. smiley
Politics › Re: Buhari To Appear Live On NTA Good Morning Nigeria Tomorrow by omenka(m): 7:39am On Jul 27, 2015
The president sounds very concerned about what is going on in the national assembly. He is clearly disappointed at the conduct of some APC member at the assembly as their acts help strengthen the opposition party.

Buhari: I'm appealing to Nigerians to be very very conscientious. Let us join hands together to save this country. We have to secure the country first before we can manage it.
Politics › Re: Buhari To Appear Live On NTA Good Morning Nigeria Tomorrow by omenka(m):
Buhari: We have to look for technocrats, politicians (he then smiles) and decent men to give ministerial positions.

Buhari: So many damage has been done to Nigeria that we cannot rush to grant people ministerial positions. It is difficult effectively supervising 20 ministries, so you have to give the positions to people you can trust and believe can carry out their duties within the confines of the constitution.

Truth be told, the PDP supporters on this forum make it impossible for one to have a sensible debate.

Imagine how they've managed to trivialise an event like this which could possibly throw up hundreds of significant talking points. Even before the interview started, they've already started throwing inane comments left right and center. Not a single one of them in criticism of anything the president has said, all talking about accent, interpreter, bla bla bla.

Is this how an opposition rollshuh God forbid.

And that presenter should stop the repetitive "mr president" crap. Just spit the damn question and move along already. Time if of the essence here woman.

Very very bad way brother!! grin

Now Baba said something when asked to tell us if the Americans agreed to sell us weapons, his reply was "the Americans agreed to help us".

This indeed confirms they turned down our request for weapons.

This man is simply eloquent, accent not withstanding. Compare that to that dunce that said: "we will build two two bridges across the rivers" and "if I say I would contest, people would start feeling one kind". grin

We have them crawling all over Nairaland as well- The League of Extraordinary Convoluted Wailing Wailers.

They can ride on with their folly for all we care. What do you expect of a people who projected themselves to be at a dinner table feasting for 60 years only to be chased out of the room in 16!

They are pained and frustrated and wish they had done things a little differently.

In addition, we should take this story with a pinch of salt- not until we hear from the presidential spokesman himself.

If drones are that good why would America build a huge wall between herself & Mexico! undecided
Drones are recent technology. Those walls were built long before they started using drones. They could tunnel right underneath the walls and you would never notice.

Walls are important too surely, to prevent the movement of very huge consignment of contrabands or weapons into one's territory. But same can still be moved bit by bit through tunnels. So the best way to secure the borders is though physical patrol, CCTV cameras and surveillance drones.
Politics › Re: Build A Wall Between Nigeria & Cameroon , Niger & Chad!!!! by omenka(m): 8:43pm On Jul 26, 2015
Op have you heard about tunnels?? The best way to guard a border is through the use of surveillance drones.

If Buhari needs you guys' advice, he'd let you know. For now you can shove all your opinion right up that spot where the sun doesn't shine or send same down to your retarrded brother up in some creek in Otuoke. I'm very sure he could use some good counsel.

Look no further than four posts above yours to see how they'll take it.

They resent the truth with passion and would do anything it takes to turn a polar bear black. That is as bad as it gets.

Yes, it is an Igbo name, two people I know well, from my place answer the name.

We call one "Dee Omenka"

The other one "Dee Ome".

What does Omenka mean in your native language, I have always meant to ask you.
Well I don't know if Omenka is native to igbos. 99% of the people I've seen bearing the name aren't Igbos.

The name reflects a valiant, a King, a very strong man.

What does it mean in igbo??

Best answer to oafs like that. I just don't respond to them. Everyday they spam my mentions with those idiotic rants of theirs so much that I feel it is useless checking it when I get a notification.

And I still don't know what gives these kids the impression I'm Igbo. Is Omenka an Igbo namehuh

please stop being hypocritical. Nobody for ur family done born out of wedluck before? Na new thing? It has been there my dear. It's even worse in the village! So his dad should disown him or what? What is done is done. U can't unring a bell. Let them be. We hv our own baggage too.
You know, it is so difficult responding to some of you guys on this forum without sounding abusive. I believe you believe the trash you just typed makes a bit of sense. Smh.

If it is a trend in your family giving birth out of wedlock, never think that applies to every family- and yes, there is NONE of such in my family (not that we are saints).

In addition, whoever talked about "disowning" anybody?? We are talking about publicly "celebrating" a societal misnomer and you're talking bullocks. Do you know the implication of everyone congratulating him publicly over this?? It means little ones growing up get the impression "it is cool conceiving for your bf". Now how does that work for you??

I think you guys that scream gays shouldn't be tolerated and celebrate stuffs like this are the real hypocrites. Both situations run afoul of our heritage as Africans.
Celebrities › Re: Davido's Daughter Imade Meets Her Grand Dad (photo) by omenka(m): 9:30am On Jul 26, 2015
Our parents have suddenly started celebrating childbirth out of wedlock. Was surprised to see Momodu as well congratulating Davido. This is how morally depraved our society has become. What used to be taboo, and rightly so, has now become a norm and a virtue.

Soon parents might start congratulating their children for impregnating themselves. Incest would become a celebrated vice.

God help us.

Yevgeny:
Mr Buhari pant sniffer,

Nigeria is not polio free. We are close but not totally free yet

http://www.polioeradication.org/dataandmonitoring/poliothisweek.aspx

NIGERIA

No new wild poliovirus type 1 (WPV1) cases were reported in the past week. No cases have been reported in 2015. Nigeria’s total WPV1 case count for 2014 remains 6. The most recent case had onset of paralysis on 24 July 2014 in Sumaila Local Government Area (LGA), southern Kano state.
No new cases of type 2 circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus (cVDPV2) cases were reported in the past week. The most recent case had onset of paralysis in Kwali Local Government Area (LGA), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, with onset of paralysis on 16 May; this is the only cVDPV2 case reported in Nigeria in 2015.
24 July 2015 will mark 12 months since the last reported case due to wild poliovirus in Nigeria had onset of paralysis (the full 12-month data is pending final laboratory classification from all environmental samples and acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) cases, collected up until 24 July 2015. Results are expected by September).
This progress is thanks to the hard work of the Nigerian government, partners, religious and community leaders, and health workers.
While Nigeria is closer than ever to ending polio, the job is not yet finished. At least two more years must pass without a case of wild poliovirus for Nigeria to be certified polio-free along with the rest of the WHO's African region. To achieve this goal, Nigeria and all countries in the African region must maintain high-quality surveillance for poliovirus and vaccination campaigns, particularly in hard-to-reach and insecure areas, and improve routine immunization.
At the same time, efforts are ongoing to rapidly stop a cVDPV2 outbreak affecting the country, with aggressive outbreak response using trivalent OPV being implemented in the affected and high-risk areas.

Will you shut up that hole in your face. Chor, chor, chor - all the time. You irrelevant in the scheme of things in the Niger Delta. President Buhari will do all within his power as President to develop the South South. Your rants have no bearing on the programmes ahead.

Niger Delta will be developed - there will be no war. God bless President Buhari.
You know, in Nairaland culture, the shortest route to fame is being as bigoted as possible, throwing the vilest of insults and constantly sounding unimaginably stupid. When you do, you get the most likes and become popular overnight because the forum is replete with such idiots.

I have seen three consistently very useless commentators in the past one week. They are being noticed and that is why they feel rewarded for their folly. I really can't blame them.

How do you support someone who already made it clear to you(on an international interview) that it's politically fair for him to marginalize you? He couldn't even hide his bigotry for some minutes interview cheesy

In a sane society, this is enough goof for Buhari to resign but instead he's making attempts to deny what is already caught in an international video.
Just imagine If this type of statement accidentally comes from a US president for instance. Chei shocked shocked, it wouldn't matter how good that president is or has been, he would've resigned by now.

Poor Adesina, he has tried n tried to bend it to sound ok but those words are so wrong that the more they try to bend it, the worse it sounds.
Buhari should just apologize and resign

Such a shame.
Such redundant hypocrites. When the jesus of Otuoke told the world the igbos are the backbone of his admin, even though every region voted for him, how many of you came here to type trash??
