Politics › Re: Support Buhari, Dickson Urges Ijaw Leaders- Daily Sun by omenka(m): 6:37am On Jul 26, 2015
madridguy:
Dear Henry Seriake-Dickson, may you live long in good state of mind and health. You're one in million, you're the Mandela of the Ijaw people. I hope the Ijaw youth will heed to your advise. Going back to the creek will never settle anything its will only drag the region back to dark age. No investor will come to a war zone to invest his/her money. I hope the baboon in the North east too will stop sucking innocent blood for no reason. The Ijaw Youth must distance itself from every selfish politician who has their children in a sane environment and only to encourage you to go to the creek for his own interest. I repeat, if the likes of Tombolo, asari dokubo and other big boss over there were truly fighting for Ijaw masses I am very sure the region by now will not be complaining of lack of good water, good roads, health facility and other social amenities. Asari and his cohort should stop deceiving the Ijaw youth. If you love your people, why do you take your investment to Cotonou ? This is the best question we youth need to start asking our politician. The ex deputy governor of Lagos State Adejoke Adefulore Orelope is a living example. We the people of Alimosho local government complained for being marginalised despite the fact that we produced the highest vote in any election in Lagos State. The leaders of the State accepted to look at our side by giving the deputy slot to her, we are happy that this will add value to our community only for Adejoke to abscond with her mother and other key family members to VI/Ikoyi. The Ijaw youth must hold their leaders responsible for the present situation of the region.
Your post makes a lot of sense, but for the bolded, I see "them" coming for your head! cheesy

Tired of all these twist. All i need now is good governance.
Who says ensuring criminality is punished is not part and parcel of ''good governance"?? Here's a glaring case of forgery by those who are meant to make laws and stipulate penalties for the act caught in broad day light doing the same and you assume they should be left alone for you want "good governance"... Baba na wa to you oo.

SUNDAY PUNCH’s study of the controversial 2015 Senate Standing Orders, Rule 3, as contained on page four of the document, which has to do with the election of presiding officers, had shown that it is different from the 2011 Senate Order.
This is the crux of the matter. The Order, it was confirmed, hasn't been amended since 2011, therefore there shouldn't be as much as a change in ANY of the alphabets contained therein. But the exact opposite is what we have and some folks are threatening fire and brimestone should those responsible for this treasonable act be punished- yet you wonder why we are where we are as a country.

The Clerk of the Senate, Ekweremadu and Saraki should be assembling their legal team right now because prison is starring them in the face. The era of impunity is over!

Aren't you people ashamed of yourselves? I have seen you guys lift stories from this newspaper lately, stories critical of the government and you guys don't even as much as bat an eyelid when doing so. This same media is one which you guys desire to see burnt down for being APC mouthpiece and under Tinubu and Buhari's payroll. Today you are shamelessly lifting stories from the site and even soliciting that they be posted on the front page.

When they publish a story tomorrow about some billions the crook Jonathan and his horde of concubines stole, you guys would revert back to your sordid ways by calling them all manner of names, from Tinubu's lapdogs to Boko Haram sympathisers and what not.

Bunch of deadbeat hypocrites.

If GEJ is therefore by his own inference said to have been prepared with the kind of monumental failure he became as president, then may all other leaders after him not be prepared.
Please next time tag me for serious minded assertions by knowledgeable people, not this type from a kindergarten politician who should instead be trying to understand issues well before being allowed space in the press.

Bros stop dey lie jor. Whhich tiv jukun crises?? When was the last time you heard about such?? Those were very rare and isolated incidents and hardly last more than a couple of days. You talk about Ombatse as though anyone even knew they existed until police raided them.

The North Central is undoubtedly the most peaceful region of this country, save for Plateau where you have recurrence of violence in some remote parts from rampaging herdsmen.

How does it affect your livelihood admitting that the region is the most peaceful?? Which kain badbelle come be dis onehuh

Do you know anyone that is very humble, peaceful, unassuming, adaptive, fun, yet intelligent irrespective of their religion? Check their state of origin, they're most likely from the middlebelt! Save for a few bad eggs, most have very endearing qualities.
I grew more respect for them during the elections, I thought they were going to vote against Buhari being a Fulani man because of the way fulani herdsmen and people bully them on their lands. But surprisingly, they gave majority votes to APC even though there's also a large Christian population there. It shows they may not be phyical fighters but they can reason strategically.

The North central is the only region that hardly has militants, "freedom fighters", or whatever silly, violent, directionless, selfish, groups all other regions have.

They go about their businesses without creating drama and irritaing tantrums at the drop of a hat. Sometimes they're mistaken for "slaves" or docile people but there's a difference between being docile and wise. They're wise enough to know that fighting for their own country when they know they're not economically, socially, or politically ready to stand on their own two feet or allowing some selfish politicians to use their youths to fight "marginalization" is just NOT the way out.

The rest of us should please borrow a leaf from them. We need it urgently.
Babe your head dey there!!

No one has time for all that hating and fighting, we just wanna make money and enjoy our lives in peace.

Foreign Affairs › Obama Arrives Kenya. by omenka(op): 6:25pm On Jul 24, 2015
Nairobi (AFP) - The streets of the Kenyan capital
were empty on Friday afternoon ahead of US
President Barack Obama's arrival, with a
massive security operation under way to protect
him from Al-Qaeda-linked Somali militants.

Obama, making his first visit as president to his
father's birthplace, will address an
entrepreneurship summit and hold talks on
trade and investment, security and counter-
terrorism, and democracy and human rights.

Parts of the Kenyan capital Nairobi have been
locked down and airspace will be closed during
the president's arrival late Friday and his
departure late Sunday, when he travels up the
Rift Valley to neighbouring Ethiopia, the seat of
the African Union.

By Friday afternoon, usually the busiest time of
the week with streets jammed with cars, roads
were empty. Expectant crowds began gathering
along the route to be used by the presidential
convoy in the hope of spotting Obama.

At least 10,000 police officers, roughly a quarter
of the entire national force, have been deployed
to the capital.

Top of the list of security concerns is Somalia's
Shebab militants, who have staged a string of
suicide attacks, massacres and bombings on
Kenyan soil, including the bloody attack on the
Westgate shopping mall in the heart of the
capital nearly two years ago that left 67 dead.

Excitement has been building in Kenya for
weeks, with the visit painted as a major boost for the country's position as an African hub --
something that has taken a battering in recent
years due to Shebab attacks and political
violence that landed Kenyan leaders in the
International Criminal Court.

"I need not tell you how eagerly we have all
waited for the day, or how keen we all are to
make it the most memorable of homecomings,"
Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta told reporters.

"It's a vote of confidence for our city and our
country," Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero also
told AFP.
