boss, I can only guess how happy you are right now. Truly the general's triumph is worth the mood. At last we finally got the change we've been craving for.
You owe me a bottle sir grin

A very good morning to you. cheesy
Indeed I do, and every other single progressive here. I desperately wish there was a way to meet up somewhere and share some hugs, handshakes, and of course beer. smiley

You guys have fought a great battle and emerged victorious. But there is no bigger victor in the whole process than Nigeria.

Still basking in the euphoria. Celebrations continue today. smiley

God bless you all.
Politics › Re: Why Do I Start Pity For Jonathan All Of A Sudden? Is This Only Me? by omenka(m): 7:49am On Apr 01, 2015
I don't pity him but I don't despise him as much as I did a week ago.

At some point yesterday when news broke about his call to Buhari, I felt, perhaps this man isn't as bad I might have thought but just surrounded himself with very terrible people and his wife. Still sceptical about him though, until the actual handover.

Alison Madueke of course.

I can only imagine what might be going through Sanusi's mind right now.
Politics › Re: Four Reasons Why Jonathan Surrendered Easily by omenka(m): 5:45am On Apr 01, 2015
I think the greatest factor that worked in favour of Nigeria and prompted his concession is the international community.
Politics › Re: Man Of The Year: Jega Vs Tinubu by omenka(m): 5:42am On Apr 01, 2015
Really can't say. It's like comparing my left foot to my right. The only time I know the difference is when I'm playing football.

In any case, I see Jega handling bigger assignments from the AU or UN. Dude has carved his name in gold forever.

Apology accepted. But you must be punished for that treasonable action of yours. Hell, you would have single handedly truncated our democracy in a flash!

Honestly I haven't a single love or respect for this woman. She's been a huge disgrace to the office of the first lady.

Thank u

As for my thoughts, I have been neutral. I have been indifferent with the two most popular candidates..

I pity Jonathan that he lost. U knw what it means to defeat an incumbent president?

Its more like being disgraced out of office.

If he had stuck to his one tenure promise in 2011 ,this wouldn't have happened.

All the hate campaign speeches by Mama P, Fayose, FFK. Nawa ooo..

Meanwhile, as for Buhari, his determination is something else. Imagine after contesting and losing 3 times, he never gave up. He still went ahead to contest for the 4th time.
And paid off for him.

The weakness of the ruling party helped him.
Change! Change! Many people really wanted change.

In all , having tasted PDP for 16 years, let's see how this new soup would taste.
We just have to be optimistic that, this new soup would taste better.

Those that have last laugh include Amaechi, Okorocha, amongst others..
Fair enough. Thanks. smiley

Politics › Re: Bode George Has Promised To Leave Nigeria Soonest Over Buhari's Win by omenka(m): 4:59am On Apr 01, 2015
Of all the dramatis personae in this whole event, the ones whose sins I find VERY difficult to forgive are the First lady, IG of police, Marylin Ogar, FFK, Fayose and Doyin Okupe.

Politics › Re: Lagos PDP Calls For Cancellation Of Presidential Election Results by omenka(m): 4:43am On Apr 01, 2015
I don't see PDP surviving the haemorrhage that would ensue in the party after may 29th.

Too bad.

They should start working out the details a new alliance that would serve as the opposition party. We need such to further deepen our democracy and mitigate mediocrity and complacency on the part of the ruling party.

Thank you Mr President for allowing popular opinion stand in this election.

Congrats GMB.

God bless Nigeria.

For those of us very active on this board, we can recall what Boy George said he would do should Buhari emerge the president.

IT WAS STREAMED ON NTA that President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan congratulates Buhari.
Honestly speaking, Jonathan is the hero here.
Buhari has a herculean task of pleasing Nigerians now that they have overhyped him and he has won. Its getting to time for him to do the needful for Nigeria to become developed.
Congratulations General Buhari/Prof Isibajo. Wish you well but keep in mind that uneasy lies the head that wears the crown!
