Politics › Re: Okupe - “APC Is A Shameless Party, They Plagiarized Pdp’s Manifesto” by omenka(m): 1:05pm On Aug 27, 2013
"We have looked forward to them
coming out with something more superior than
that of the PDP which is now 13 years old but
sadly, they have nothing new to offer,” he said.
“In this day and age, no political party can deceive
Nigerians by their bogus manifesto which has no
bearing to national development. The electorates
have become wiser than we think.”

This is my problem with these brainless dolts that represent the killer party!! Whenever they open their mouth to speak, they don't hesitate to stick their feet right into it!

You said the APC plagiarised the PDP manifesto which is THIRTEEN YEARS OLD!!! Now, isn't this a direct indictment of the killer party?? How much of what they promised since thirteen years ago have so far been delivered?? Nigerians, you see what we mean when we say the killer party can not and will never deliver any goodies to the pupulace?

And he goes on to say "the electorates have become wiser then we think". Sure, they have become much much wiser then you and your fellow band of thieves can ever imagine, and see through all your lies, deciet, and schemes to brainwash them into believing 16 is greater than 19 or 5 is greater then 2/3 of 31!

And you Okupe should shut it already!! Go and repay the Benue state govt the money you stole from them for receiving mobilization for a contract you never executed or had plans to execute!

PDP lately started sounding like an opposition party. I guess they are prepping for their eventual and ineluctable religation to the back seat come 2015!!

God bless APC!!
Politics › Re: ASUU Has Been Politically Infiltrated : federal Government by omenka(m):
Sincere 9gerian: I said it. Tinubu and Buhari have infiltrated ASUU. Only a compromised union would remain rigid despite the govt making concessions of N130billion. In the history of ASUU strike, no govt had ever made this sort of committment towards solving whatever the grievances of ASUU are.
Those of us opurtuned to be privy to the goings on in this whole umbriglio know better. Only yestday, a friend of mine who happens to be a chapter member of ASUU executive committee told me how the Benue state govnor led Fed govt negotiation team is a team constituted solely for the purpose of bribing ASUU members to call off the strike. Only this time, ASUU is unwilling to play ball, so the govt decided to use blackmail after threats of No Work No Pay failed to make them budge.

The Nigerian government is the most insincere body on this planet! You simply can't have an agreement and expect them to hold up their own end of the bargain.

And for them to attribute the duggedness of ASUU to the opposition is just absolutely laughable, I mean, come on.....

"The committee had told the government that the
union leaders were arrogant and selfish as their
interest was paramount to that of their students
who had been at home all this while."

Funniest thing I've ever heard!!
All these tricks to turn the people against ASUU will be counter productive.

The government had an agreement, they must honour it. End of story.

babagy82: I hate u people (christians) because of your hatred to islam. If a christian man marries a 16year old girl u'll say nothing. But if a muslim marries a gairl of that same age u'll call him pedophile. Whats rong with u?? Underage marriage is our right as muslims and nobody will force u todo it. I myself cant marry underage girl for some reason but doesnt mean i cant give out my underage girl out for marriage if she's ok with it. Why cant you ppl leave us alone?? Christians are hypocrites of the first order. If a muslim marries underage girl, prophet muhammad marries an underaged girl, yes he did. But everyone has forgotten his first wife was a 45year old widow when he was just 25 years old. We are asked to emulate the prophet thats why watever he did serve as a teaching to us. The way he married both a widow and underage aisha is simply telling us you can marry both underage and overage girl and nothing is wrong about that provided its not a forced marriage, and also marriage itself is not compulsory talkless of marrying a teenage girl. Even among muslims is not every muslim dat like marrying teenage girls, then why is it your problem xstians?? Whyhuh
The logic of your arguement is totally flawed!! That one was traveling, came acroos an accident victim, stoped and helped the said victim to the hospital thereby saving their life doesn't give him the right to delibrately run into a pedestrian killing them!

And for you to say u wld give out your underaged daughter "if she's ok with it"... Bro are you kidding mehuh At 13, what would a gurl child know about what grown adults still find complicatedhuh

If indeed this is your mindset, I'd urge you to have a change of heart. And let me ask: can you look your kid in the eyes and tell her these words?

Buhari once said it in an interview a coupla years back that he was never involved in that coup but was only brought in to rule for want of a better officer. Here is another officer coroborating his claim. And from this interview, the last name anyone with any brain at all could call this man is 'bigot' or to say he's bias. I've said it time and again, the oligarchs would do anything to demonize the person of GMB for they know the great stuff he's actualy made of.

I hope some folks in here would take their time and read the entire piece, educate and enlighten themselves, and have a little change of heart.

@OP..., dont mind the very greedy and mostly unproductive Nigerian lecturers.
Be sincere to yourself for once. Firstly, how do you know the "calculation" didn't take the said extra-budgetary spending into cognisance?? Secondly, do you have any idea what the figures of their own equivalents of the UBEC, TET, e.t.c., would be?? Or are you saying they don't have such "extra-budgetary" funding for education?
Politics › Another Massacre As Boko Haram Storms A Village In Borno!! by omenka(op): 6:56am On Aug 24, 2013
About 50 armed men stormed the village on
Tuesday.

At least 44 persons were killed Tuesday in a village
near Baga Village of Kukawa Local Government Area
of Borno State, emergency health workers said.

Baga was the scene of an April attack that led to the
death of about 200 people, mostly civilians, with
many of them believed to have been killed when
soldiers allegedly set hundreds of houses on fire in
retaliation at the killing of soldiers by suspected Boko
Haram members.

An official of the National Emergency Management
Agency, NEMA, said officials of the agency counted at
least 44 corpses in Tuesday’s attack by suspected
members of the Boko Haram.

Residents told aide workers who visited the troubled
area that about 50 armed men stormed their village
and embarked on a killing spree using knives.

“Those who did not die were left with their eyes
gorged out with knives, and several others seriously
injured,” said the NEMA official, who doesn’t want to
be quoted as he was not authorized to speak to the
press yet.

“Many people were displaced because the Boko
Haram set their houses ablaze, though we cannot say
how many. We are going to Baga village on Saturday
to set up camps for the displaced,” the official added.

“As I am speaking to you now, Red cross officials and
the Medicine Sans Frontier are attending to the
injured victims. The village has been deserted and
the people are now taking refuge at the Baga central
primary school.”

Journalists have been unable to confirm the incident
since Wednesday due to lack of communication
networks, which has been grounded in the state in
the last three months.
The spokesman of the Joint Task Force, JTF, Sagir
Musa, could also not be contacted.

The Media Coordinator of the Multi National Joint
Task Force, MNJTF, in Baga, Haruna Sani, told
journalists in response to an email sent to him
seeking confirmation of the incident that he had no
knowledge of the attack, as he was away from his
base.

“I am right now in Adamawa State for an assignment
and due to the network problem, I have difficulty in
reaching my Headquarters. I suggest you find out
from Defense Headquarters, may be they are in the
picture of the incidence. Thanks for your effort,” he
said.

But a security source, who doesn’t want to be
quoted, as he is not allowed to speak to press,
confirmed the incident to PREMIUM TIMES.
“There was an attack on Tuesday in Baga that I am
aware of but I have no detailed information on it
because this is not under the purview of the JTF; it is
the MNJTF that can speak on that,” the source said.

The Boko Haram has embarked on attacking softer
targets outside Maiduguri after the vigilante
(Civilian-JTF) joined forces with the JTF to apprehend
them. The JTF recently announced the death of top
leaders of the sect including that of its overall leader,
Abubakar Shekau, who is believed to have died from
gunshot wounds.

The terrorist are believed to use knives as gunshots
often attract Civilian-JTF or soldiers to the scene.
Many of such attacks on isolated villages and
hamlets are reported by victims and residents, but
verification has been difficult due to the state of
emergency and network shutdown in the state; while
security operatives often do not confirm the attacks.

Dike Chimezie: Nigerians dont know what they want.We complain of a high recurrent expenditure still also we support any demand of a pay rise by any institution.
In my view most of these academic staffs salaries should be reduced. These lectures and i mean a whole number of them aren't justifying their pay and they know this.
ASUU are selfish and greedy.
They care less about the students hence their continue insistence on strike.
Our tertiary institutions have been politicise, the respective student union government (SUG's) aren't what they should be.
I was once a victim of an 8 month strike and should be in a position to know what is at stake.
Young man, stop sounding like an illiterate. If government wanna talk about slashing take home, it must start with that of political appointees. If the president slashes his salary and that of his ministers, and reviews downward the salaries and allowances of our legislators, he would be on a very firm footing to do same to anyone else under the government's employ. It is that simple!

But rather, he ups his cullinary bill, ups the number of presidential jets, ups the number of ministers and advisers, sends one of the presidential jets to pick up the president of another country down to Nigeria,..... The list of his financial and administrative blunders is endless!

In fact, this country needs to be totally grounded so we can start afresh! Haba, it is getting too much!

As long as the rulling class keep collecting such unjustifiably huge salaries and allowances, strikes will remain a recuring decimal.

Pple often make the mistake of comparing the economy of US to that of naija. Granted, we have a band of thieves and certified fraudstars and ex-cons runing the affairs of this country, but US is a CONTINENT! A single state in the US could easily dwarf Nigeria in terms of landmass, and economy.

That is not to excuse our leaders for their crass incompitence though. Just making a point worthy of note.

pro01: Fake story as usual by Sahara Reporters. The president does NOT need anybody as Anambra governor to get Anambrarians' votes in 2015. He will win 100% of the votes regardless of the individual or party in power in the state, so I don't see the basis for "imposing" Andy Uba or anybody for that matter. Do you honestly believe Anambrarians would vote for one disgruntled aboki in the APC in the presidential election or what? Is it Buhari, Tambuwal, or who? Anambra is 100% for Goodluck, head or tail.

Andy Uba already has the upper hand, since his forces are in control of party structure in the state PDP at the moment. I think aspirants like Ukachukwu and other jittery whiners within and outside the PDP are the sponsors of this spurious report.
