First of all what is Root/Rooting?
I will try to explain this term as simple as I can.
Rooting simply means Gaining Restricted access to your device. Think of it as Administrator access on your Windows OS, Root Privilege on Linux etc.

For example, Think of a building that has just one major entrance for access, but there are other hidden or secrets doors you can access,but because your device is not rooted you can't access them. So you are left to do all your biddings through that single entrance.
When you root your device, you gain access to all those secret doors and you can do anything you want with them.

Download alternate file manager. like ES file explorer

your phone should give you.the option of choosing from it, thereby locating the file you want.

Do you have too many apps running at the same time? If yes, Close the ones you're not using.

Do you often Clear your recently used apps?
If no, Try to do that often..


Is your Mobile Network Signal not that Strong where you are? and your running on H+?
Try to switch to 2G / EDGE sometimes

Also, Check If you have your Location (GPS), WIFI etc turned on. If you're not using them turn it off

If you've tried all these and nothing works

Burntcoal, an offline friend, called and told me that I shld press down the power button cum volume down simultaneously and I did, it brought out some Chinese stuff (I'm on Tecno ) so I picked the first and it rebooted itself and starts working.

Please I need your help. I used pin code to lock my Android phone, just this morning my phone fell and two of the digits refused to work while the others still work.

Now I can't unlock my phone though the phone still power on and receive calls.

Pls I need help on how to unlock the phone or how to bypass the lock screen

I tried loading the contacts from my email but the list I got wasn't up to date. So I tried syncing my contacts on my blackberry to my gmail again, I then signed out my google account on my android. On logging in and trying to load my contacts through my mail, it's now empty. No contact was displayed. I don't know what to do. Is there any app that can help? I've never used an android phone by the way, I've always used a blackberry phones. Thanks in anticipation.

download intouch app on both phones.
it's a cross platform app. import your contacts from blackberry (the app uploads your contacts to you account online) then when you login on your Android phone, it imports everything automatically to your new phone.

I never use stock rom on them. limitations are too much.
my best best is unified custom rom. with no carrier limitations
