Hi guys,

Is it normal for an employer to make someone work 21 days straight and giving you one day to rest ?

In the contract it states 40 hours for the said person. But the employer is the one saying you'll be able to get off day at least after two weeks.

How can someone navigate around this ?

Hi folks I need help ,I received a package specifically 21st of may from Nigeria ,I live in Belfast Northern Ireland UK ,to my surprise I got a mail from UPS just 3days ago asking me for payment of unpaid invoice to the tune of 272 pounds (taxes and duties ) for a package of 27KG and declaration value of about 50 pounds ,I’ve contacted the agent(paid him 5k per kg before sending ) In Nigeria he said he paid for shipment that what UPS is asking for is receivers taxes and duties ,I really don’t know what to do ,I’ve called and emailed UPS severally they keep saying that’s the amount to be paid ….Anyone with solution to this problem

this is the norm and you will most likely have to pay to get the package.

I remember warning my aunts that it's better to buy extra luggage than to cargo to UK, because bills to get it alone will make you have palpitations. one paid 187 pounds and her stuff had spoilt and the other paid 300 pounds excluding miscellaneous

Only cargo if where you are bringing over is not available in the UK or it's so important.

Hi guys, please can one use Revolut account’s bank statement when applying for Schengen visa from the UK?
well, so countries accept. I know for Malta and Germany personally. the other ones I know is from what other people said.

But if you have any traditional bank, it's better to just use that. you can't go wrong printing both and it will save you unnecessary extra spending incase they don't want revolut.

How do you intend to do that when you're supposed to provide hotel reservation, airline ticket and length of stay in the first country of visa issuance?
lol. I have agreed with the previous poster that he has to o.

No point explaining further.

PS: No disrespect.

But on a personal note, I have never had to.

Do I need to enter the country that issued the visa 1st? My visa was issued by Switzerland 🇨🇭 but I'm traveling to Germany this Sunday and have no plans of going to Switzerland.

I was initially scheduled to speak at an event in Geneva but the visa came out late and I missed the event, so I no longer have a reason to enter Switzerland.

Can I drive a car that is not insured under my name? My uncle has two cars and he suggested that I start driving his other car, which raised questions about insurance.

Also, I chose a contract SIM and provided my sort code and account number, but I haven't seen any direct debit set up on my account. Do I need to manually set up the direct debit?

Please Advice my people.
your name needs to be on the insurance,

and DD doesn't happen immediately, there is a specific date they debit you, usually after a month or they round it up so you can start being debit first week of every month.

Please can someone point me to the right direction and how to put it if I want to tell my employer to sponsor me

Note: they don't have licence yet (COS),

I want to do my assignment very well before putting it out there to them.

1. Possible how much it will cost them?

2a. They are under NHS (supplier/CCG). Am I correct to tell them it's the health and care visa category they should apply for (that is if they conversation progresses to be favourable)

2b. For someone not in medical/care settings but works under NHS umbrella, will they refunded back their HEALTH INSURANCE SURCHARGE

3. Is there any risk for them or on their part?

Semmyk, justwise, hustle,lexusgs460 and all the egbons in the house. Please help!

Hi Guys

Quick Question, is someone working in Health and Social care services by not a doctor, pharmacist or Allied Health professional exempted from Health Insurance surcharge? I mean, even if we have to pay initially, it will be refunded later on.

Just tell your manager you are sick and won't be able to come in. Follow your orgainsations' protocol
manager insisted one she comes in. Organisation protocol is not considering the well being of the employee. Even the doctor (GP) mentioned a day or two leave never require sick note. Until it's until 7 days.

GPs will only give sick notes for sickness 7 days and over. If you want for less than 7 days, i think that comes at a cost.
Self certification is just you letting your employer know that you're sick and unable to come to work while complying with their policy on reporting sickness - some have forms for you to fill while others will take your word for it.
Some will have you fill out a form upon your return to work so you'd need to find out what the process is with your employer.
You can also download the self-certification form online and complete it if that is what your employer wants =>> https://www.google.com/search?q=self+certification+form&oq=self&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i57j69i65l2j46i199i433i465i512j0i67i131i433i650j0i67i650j0i131i433i512j0i20i131i263i433i512j0i512.1985j0j7&client=ms-android-samsung-ss&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8&chrome_dse_attribution=1

Good evening guys,

Quick one please, is an employer required to demand sick note for just one day leave considering the person has been overstressed and doesn't want to put her clients at risk. I mean not being in optimal condition to carry out duty effective?

Because going through gov.uk and other websites, one doesn't require to show it unless you are off work for 5 working days/1 week.

The employer is just trying to prove difficult because the person is question said she can't make it for work the following next due to work and exam stress.

How can one get sick leave (self certified) or what else can be done?

Quick question My Ogas.

I want to make a scenario,

Let's say Main applicant got sponsorship and dependant is under MA, few years in like 2 years, the dependant too got sponsorship.
If the main applicant decides to switch to dependants sponsorship.

Does the 2 years they've used under main applicant gets nullified (stop counting) if MA switches or it doesn't matter?

Hi, here my is story, when I came in last year, I started applying for as many as data analyst role to to my skills set, not any work experience. I stopped applying when my wife failed one of her courses which makes me look in the way of searching for care jobs that could sponsor visa because it was stated that she might not be eligible cos of the failure, but luckily for us she was given the opportunity to resit for assessment due to child birth that made her failed the course at first attempt.

I enrolled into masterschool and I can tell i am now having lots of confidence compared to when I first came in. They are offering lots of support and most of our tutors in masterschool class session are people working in top IT companies.

I am just less than 2 months in to the program and I am always very hopeful that I will be able to secure job before or after the end of the course.

I actually conducted my research about masterschool by checking in some of their alumni and I was made known by someone that it really worth it.

After all, it is until you secure a job or 25k and above that they can start taking their payment and also, it is 10% of your monthly payment which makes it flexible enough till you complete the full payment of 11k£

NB: You ain’t paying any dime yet even if the your pay is less than 25k£ annually.

I was also made know that the master school interview simulation process is more rigorous that then actual real life interviews which will make it to scale through interview stages.

It’s has really been helpful.

Projects upon projects with guidance from lots of top guys in data analytics, data engineering, data science.

You will be supported till you land your first job even after the completion of the program.

Masterschool is a big company with worth of over a hundred million dollars.
do you have their website or something

Hi everyone!

I recently got a Hisense smart tv hoping to watch the world cup with it.

There are lots of apps on the VIDAA store to watch movies and other live tv but none is showing live matches. There's even no app with a subscription option to watch live sports.

I have read about IPTV here. Please who can put me through on how to go about it please

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ad3nA4TcBEs

Try this, I used it with my hisense tv before leaving Nigeria (IPTV though)
