OP, you failed to add how "subsidy" jumps up whenever a general election is drawing near.

Hope Nigerians are seeing what is going on? Some months ago ministers like Gbenga Ashiru, Olushola Obada, and others were sacked just because the governors that nominated defected to APC nobody said anything, but here we have Abba Moro bragging.

Why are most, supposedly, Christians burying their heads in the sand in pretense? My consolation is that this BS can never cross Asaba let alone River Niger. I have no problem with any Nigerian who feels militant or extreme religiosity doesn't matter - its their choice. But understand some people feel it matters. Even in the US - ask yourself why US didn't take in many Iraqis when Iraq was getting hammered with smart-bombs? Any nation or people that fail to find a balance to competing forces is in for a shock. Nigeria is evenly divided, therefore to pretend that its only two muslem men fit for president and VP out of over 80 million Nigerian Christians is, to say the least, a joke.

I have nothing against all faiths but when it comes to submitting my right to adherents of Islam - nwanne, I'm not there yet.

Many developing worlds today are getting butchered every single day thanks to the rise in Islamic terror, and folks are saying we shouldn't care about the inclination of who leads us? No one is saying Muslims should not aspire for Aso Rock. What we're saying is that two Muslims can't go in at the same time in this day and age. Besides why does it always have to be two muslims going in? What about two Ifa worshipers, two Christians, two Ogboni members, or two Amadioha followers? Do you think Muslims will accept any of the above? Wake up people!

My advise to people canvasing for this insanity is simple: push your two Muslims into Aso Rock and watch us live the union in a heartbeat. Frankly, it will be a gift from providence that will unite Easterners like never before. I suppose I'm rooting for it in a weird way.

I'm disturbed over the hues and cries over religion in this regard. There is no part of the constitution that says the president and his vp must be of different faiths.

It's you people from the SE that think the north is polarized on religious lines when it comes to sharing power in the north. T. Y. Danjuma, David Mark, Paul Unongo, Solomon Lar, etc were/are northern christians but enjoy the support of the moslem dominated north. Sunday Awoniyi, a Yoruba christian from Kogi State was the chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum. T. Y. Danjuma was once the chairman. The current one is also a christian.
In July 1966, Murtala Muhammed, a moslem led a coup d'état and handed over to Yakubu Gowon, a christian. In 1975, Joe Garba, a northern christian who co-ordinated the coup d'état that ousted Yakubu Gowon called on Murtala Muhammed to lead the country. Didn't he see T. Y. Danjuma, a northern christian of the same rank of Brigadier like Muhammed?
So far, norther Nigerian with 19 states, is the only part of the country with governors' forum. The 18 southern states don't have. The 6 states each in the SS and SW don't have. The 5 in the SE don't have.

Nothing stopped the PDP governments of Oyo and Osun states from repairing the water plant. It is the border between both states along the Ife - Ibadan Expressway, and serves both states. In fact the water it gets its source is what divides both states.

OP, have our former heads of state started receiving their pensions as enshrined in section 84 (5) of the 1999 Constitution? I remember that recently there was a debate in the National Assembly in which some legislators kicked against the giving of pension for life to those that came to rule Nigeria through coup d'états, as this would encourage democratically elected governments to be overthrown.

Leaving Boko Haram to grow to the level it currently is, whether deliberately or otherwise, was a big mistake on the FG. The sect is now like MEND in the Niger Delta with different "formations". There were/are different "formations" led by "generals" like Asari Dokubo, Ateke Tom, Boyloaf, Soboma George, John Togo, Tompolo, etc. During the amnesty, apart from that of John Togo who kicked against it, the other "formations" had their boys given amnesty. The FG, if it is sincere, should meet with the leaders of the different groups under Boko Haram. Sakilda should also be brought in. Just yesterday he said that he was in serious doubt that the FG met with Boko Haram, saying if at all there was a ceasefire agreement it's the group that would announce it, not the FG because it's the group that is fighting the FG.

The fact is that so much has happened to South Easterners in recent years in d name of religion that we can't afford to just fold our hands, wether we like it or not, religion is a serious political tool in dis country and every party must recognise that, in as much as I don't want us to mix religion and politics yet I can't just wish it away because it is deep rooted in this country. The most religious intolerant region in this country is the North. Would you say you didn't notice how a traditional ruler of Islamic faith in Imo State was treated on this forum by Ndigbo? Would you say you didn't notice how Ndigbo on this forum reacted when they learnt of an Islamic family in Ebonyi State that was planning to establish an Islamic university in the state?

If you care to listen, Yoruba are religious tolerant. It is only among Yoruba you see members of a family living under the same roof that belong to different religions. Even the christians among them attend different denominations.

The only geo-political zone that is hell-bent religious intolerant is the SE. Edo and Delta states are to some extent religious tolerant. In Edo north, for obvious reason(s) a place like Auchi will vote for APC.
