Dr. Onyebuchi, the Minister of Health is one of the reason little is heard about Ebonyi State. |
Are we saying there should not be a lame duck period, a governor-elect should be sworn in immediately he is declared winner? |
How many people knew of the death of Toba, the son of Aisha Falode of AIT, when he was thrown from the 17th floor of his hotel room in the same Dubai? Did our Ambassador say anything? |
He must have connived with the LGI, else I see no reason why could boldly say he would get his discharge certificate through the back door. I'm sure he has been missing CDS and had absconded from his PPA since this happened. |
By 2019, whether Jonathan rules till then or not, the reality will dawn on Ndigbo. |
Mogidi:What is your problem with sharia? Do you even understand what it means? |
anonimi:Your Jonathan even with his PhD cannot stand Buhari in any political debate. |
Nonsense thread. |
SHOPPERS:This is not a domestic issue, it involves two countries. You don't because a thing is tolerated in your country, do it in another country. Beside the two countries other international organizations involved in arms and money could come in. |
If yours have low self esteem put on your bra. |
Sincere9gerian:You're making matter worse for your employer. |
DONGOYARO1:The supporters of Jonathan and he himself have failed to realize that their continued speaking evil of Islam just to tarnish the image of Buhari will will affect them negatively. Can the votes of christians alone ensure Jonathan victory in 2015? |
No person has sectionalized Nigeria on religious and tribal lines like Jonathan. |
The name, Buhari causes some form of unease among PDP and TANoids. |
If you scratch my back, I go scratch your back na im dey for this country. |
UI, Ibadan and OAU, Ile-Ife use the sounds of a drum and a bell respectively to notify the students when the libraries want to close for the day; what do yours use? |
Most of you don't understand what is meant by hot. |
itstpia1:Yes. |
itstpia1:There are. These are some. There is one that I saw some years back when I was in Ile-Ife written by Prof. Richard Olaniyan.
|
Aerial view of the Hezekiah Oluwasanmi Library, OAU, Ile-Ife.
|
The Library of OAU, Ile-Ife (then University of Ife) when it was still in Ibadan.
|
Kunlexic:Do your findings before you make any post. The library in OAU, Ile-Ife, named after its second Vice Chancellor, Hezekiah Oluwasanmi was never housed "in . . . cramped quarters." According to Prof. S. A. Akintoye in "Ten Years of University of Ife, 1962 - 1972", "The permanent building of the university Library, begun in 1967, was not completed for use until 1970. Before then, those sections of the Library which had moved to Ile-Ife between 1967 and 1970 had been lodged in parts of the Humanities buildings." To show that the volumes of books first moved to Ile-Ife were not housed in the place you described, a big portrait with the pictures of the three Humanities blocks, shelves and a truck load of book, depicting how they moved from Ibadan to Ile-Ife; in front of borrows' desk in the library. NB. The University took off from the buildings occupied by the Nigerian School of Arts and Science, Ibadan. The place is now occupied by The Polytechnic, Ibadan. |
OAU, Ile-Ife library is arguably the most comfortable to read in. All sections in the north wing have central air conditioners. The sections in the south wing without AC have functional fans. The chairs are comfortable. I knew of friends who didn't like reading in library because they slept easily as a result of the comfort in it. |
Some christians prefer to spend another four years suffering under this clueless government that has no plan for the country because they don't want to be "Islamized." God forbid! I'm a christian. I will choose Buhari any day, any time to Jonathan. |
There is no part of the country that is as united as the north. Religion has not in anyway had an adverse effect on their unity. Forget the lies that supporters of Jonathan are spreading. Religion has never been a determining factor as to whom the north fields as a consensus candidate. -Gowon was a christian when Murtala Muhammed, a moslem led a coup and made him the Head of State. -Sunday Awoniyi, a Yoruba christian from Kogi State was the leader of the apex socio-political group, Arewa Consultative Forum, in the moslem dominated north. Their present leader is also a christian. -T. Y. Danjuma, Yakubu Gowon, David Mark, Paul Unongo, etc are all northern christians that command respect even among northern moslems. Show me one moslem in the South East or South South that commands respect among christians in those parts of the country. Who then is religious, north or the South East and South South? |
justitiaomnibus: |
Buhari was addressing moslems when he made that statement. The moslems there saw no problem with it just as christians don't see any problem whenever one of them says there should be a revival through which people will be converted. Concerned people should call Jonathan and his supporters to order, they are dividing this country along religious line. |
basty:You don't understand what you are saying. The countries you listed, apart from China and Japan, speak their official languages which were handed down to them by their colonial masters. Brazil speaks Portuguese, India speaks English, though not through out the country. As long as Patience Jonathan goes about with the name, First Lady, she should be able to express herself in our official language, English. We don't have any other language that is official. Stop giving excuse for her. Her husband has long been in public service as a politician (since 1999) for her to have learnt common etiquette and English expression. She has just refused to because she doesn't give a damn. Some years ago T. B. Joshua was not good at speaking English, but when his fame grew and the need to communicate with his increasing European congregation, he started learning. |
May there be confusion among those taking us backwards. |
What Ardo is doing is most likely what the governors in PDP will do. After they endorsed Jonathan for 2015 and went ahead to bless those to take over from them, the NWC barred them. |
There is every posibility of a person's lifestyle as a single affecting them when they get married. Those that were promiscuous as singles are likely to remain same when they get married. |
