Politics › Re: Presidency Orders Ekiti Courts Shut Until After Fayose’s Inauguration by Omimah: 1:00pm On Oct 10, 2014 |
thegreatman4ww: What many ppl do not know is that Governor are not immune against the two cases against Fayose, even if the case lasted for months, when the court rules INEC must obey, Adamawa is a recent example. Just wondering how GEJ and PDP are protecting democracy and rule or law. You are right. The Presidency thinks that preventing the courts from opening till after the swearing-in of Fayose would make him rule till four years. They should learn from the case between Omehia and Amaechi in Rivers State. After the swearing-in of Omehia, the court asked him to quit for Amaechi. |

funshint: Stop confusing yourself Ngilari was never an acting governor. He resigned while he was still deputy even b4 his boss impeachment process was concluded. And he was never a member of APC because he didn't follow his boss there when he moved. And to those saying he would move to APC now, U̶̲̥̅̊ better stop daydreaming. That man is not ready to start anoda drama. Better to just be at peace with the devil! P.S:- thank God we still have judges who will stand for the truth no matter what. *Justice Ayo Salami on my mind Pardon my mistake, I mistook Ngilari as the same person as Fintiri. |

amobii: well we all know that impeachment of the governor was wrong, because they do not want deputy there they forced him to resigned after knowing that process was illegal, I think this peoplejust wants power by all costs no matter how it comes. every body will create their history themselves, and one day you'll have something to flash back good/bad, but posterity will judge. If this were in some other countries investigation would have started as to who wrote the said letter of resignation of the Deputy Governor. |

titoetal: From the reports in the second seizure, it seems the transaction was initiated before the over $9 million dollars cash saga of September. Maybe what lead to resorting to use cash. I do agree anyway that there maybe some loopholes on the part of our govt which I will not stand in for them. They may have taken certain things for granted but in the situation we find ourselves now, we need the support of all citizens to win the war against terror and build a viable strong nation. I have said once that I don't like the type of politics both APC and PDP is playing. Am not supporting PDP outrightly, however being the govt in power, the need our support most often There is a type of politics APC will play and win the sympathy of all Nigerians but that is lacking.
I pray for a peaceful, prosperous Nigeria where all citizens will leave happily and brotherly
God Bless Nigeria The situation at hand is beyond APC and PDP, even the FG; South Africa is involved. This gives it international colouration. Something tells me SA is being diplomatic, else we would have started experiencing some issues in our polity. |
Politics › Re: Peter Obi Finally Joins PDP by Omimah: 10:00am On Oct 08, 2014 |
The title of this thread is rather misleading, when the OP is read. When did the visitation by some members of PDP become the same thing as he joining the PDP? Top members of APC visited Obasanjo, IBB and Abdulsalam Abubakar, it never meant these past heads of state were joining APC. |
Politics › Re: Seized $5.7million: APC Used By ‘Foreign Interests’ To Destroy Nigeria — PDP by Omimah: 9:47am On Oct 08, 2014 |
titoetal: What can we say about this second seizure, fund was legally transferred through bank by a Nigerian firm (not cash) and received by a South African arms dealer. However, it was learnt that this SA firm's license expired before the transaction could be effected. They applied for re-registration but was delayed by whatever reason known to the SA govt. The firm now decided to return the fund to the Nigerian firm and SA govt clamped on the fund. Is SA indirectly supporting bokoharam?
If South African citizens refuses to speak against what their govt is doing to Nigerian govt which is not in their interest, a pay back day will come and we shall remind them this action. While I don't doubt you, the first arms purchase in September which was foiled cannot be unconnected with the action of South Africa. The reaction of Nigerians who may not buy into your well-thought argument shouldn't be completely thrown away. They've been kept in the dark by the government which to the extent that they begin to assume. Don't forget, APC asked for the identity of the two Nigerians to be revealed just as that of the Israeli. |

r33d: Health Minister, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu was on Tuesday adopted by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside other major stakeholders of the party from the three geo-political zones of Ebonyi State as the consensus governorship candidate of the party ahead of next year’s general election.
Prof. Chukwu’s endorsement followed a closed door stakeholders’ meeting of Ebonyi North and Central senatorial zones convened by the leader of the party, Governor Martin Elechi at the Government House, Abakaliki.
The meeting lasted more than two hours according to a source at the meeting.
The endorsement of the former Chief Medical Director of Ebonyi State University Teaching Hospital, laid to rest the speculation of a possible consensus candidate of the party in the 2015 election.
