Christianity Etc › Re: Sunday School Lessons: What Do You Gain To Share With Others? by omiobo: 11:53am On Apr 14, 2013
In my church, the sunday school lesson was titled home church. Home church is known as house fellowship. House fellowship helps church members to know one another and look after the warefare of one another. It serves as a platform where disputes among members are settled. Where knowledge of the words of God can be best shared. Some of the benefits of house fellowship are healing the sick, sharing love, settling dispute, helping the needy and so on.

Politics › Lightning Kills Lagos Student by omiobo(op): 4:55pm On Apr 10, 2013
Following the heavy rain that fell across Lagos
State Tuesday, the accompanying lightning
struck dead a Senior Secondary School 3 student
of Muslim College, Oworonsoki.
There was wailing in the school when the incident
occurred.
The incident disrupted academic activities in the
school.
The name of the female student was simply given
as Celestina Farotide. Her school authorities
refused to comment on the issue and referred
journalists to the education district.
A student of the school, who craved anonymity,
told P.M.NEWS that the incident occurred around
8.00 am shortly after the morning assembly while
the students were still outside their classrooms.
Thunder and lightning erupted and waves of
shock swept through the school during which
Celestine was struck dead.
Teachers and students of the school have been
told not to speak to pressmen and no one is
talking.
Sister of the deceased, Idowu Adegite told
P.M.NEWS that they were called from the home
Tuesday that their sister fell down and that they
should come to Gbagaga General Hospital, saying
that on getting there, they met the 19-year old
girl dead.
She said they were told that she might have been
killed by lightning.
A community leader in the area, Mr. Babajide
Kabiawu told our reporter that there was
lightning around 8.00 am during the rainfall,
saying that a high tension poll was struck by the
lightning while several items were destroyed.
He stated that several passers-by at Olokomeji
area had to quickly drop their umbrellas when the
lightning struck as they felt some shocks in their
body.
According to him, what government should do is
to install anti-lightning equipment at the premises
of the school to prevent similar incident.
He said the school was close to the lagoon and
that it was over-populated, with about 150
students choked in a class, adding that the
school is also faced with the problem of flood.

obadiah777: i dont know why you are black. you must have offended the gods. as for me, i am chocolate brown. you must be going through some hardship. only brown people i know turn black are going through hardship OR having jobs with no protection from the sun ( like say being a construction worker where you have to be in the sun )

for example the israelites skin turned black because of famine and heavy sunshine ( lamentations 4 vs 8 ) ( lamentations 5 vs 10 )
Is there anything like chocolate brown? Stop deceiving yourself, you are next to charcoal grin

I was watching CNN,when the above question flashed my mind. Within me I tried to find answer to the question, but I was not convinced.
Did God create us black or Is it as a result of the sins of our forefathers? Is it a curse,or presence of melanin in our body as they say? I will be glad if a nairalander can come up with a convincing answer.

The small cannot stand up to the large. This means that if a small country does not assess its power and dares to become the enemy of a large country,no matter how firms its defenses be,it will inevitably became a captive nation.

Faseun should value his name than the money because if he is use as a tool to destabilize southwest, his generation to come will live to suffer the consequence.
I advice him to use the money for its purpose.
