Dokpesi is right, a SE candidate in PDP is a 100% automatic win for any southern candidate in APC.

If PDP main aim is to come back to power, their best bet is a Northerner like Atiku.

However, looking at the pattern of voting since 2007, I can confidently say any southerner that wants to win election in 2023 will need Buhari support, even if it’s a SW candidate.

I repeat Buhari support is very key. Anyone that he supports openly and campaign for in 2023 will emerge.

I know some people will say Buhari will not be contesting in 2023 and that will change the pattern, but what I want us to understand is that so far Buhari openly support and campaign for that southern candidate, the votes in those states are sure to like 80% confidence.

Atiku is just an overrated politician, when he contested in 2007 he couldn’t get up to 3million votes on his own. He can only use the party structure to garner vote which was why he was able to get those 2019 votes number. Any PDP candidate from even the South will win all those states Atiku won in 2019 except probably Adamawa.
