ZIM DRILL: yes learning to drive is done in a public roads if it is from a driving school the vehicle have dual controlIt seems you don't get the point here. Where else will you learn to drive if not on a public road but is it proper to do it with a vehicle being used to carry passenger? |
Well deserved! Congrats Wigan, though you won't be in the EPL next season except for a miracle. |
It shows the op can't be entrusted with anything at any level. There's no difference between you and an armed robber who kill for no reason. You are also a disgrace to womanhood and motherhood. So you think killing your boss will stop you from stealing next time? I would advise you to do the honorable thing and resign. You are not fit at any level to work in a financial institution. Very disgusting. .. |
I don't know where to put this, but I hope the mod will help place in the proper place. The picture below is that of an operational public transport tagged Ajumose by the Ajimobi led government in Oyo state. The surprising thing is the way the Learner's sign was conspicuously displayed on the vehicle with further inscriptions that warns other road users to keep off. I can't help but wonder if same could be allowed in a functioning state. This only shows the dysfunctional level of this society. if you must learn driving, should it be done on a public transport system? And who was the guy that certified the rookie driver? The vehicle was seen plying challenge-ojoo axis of Ibadan. I think it's more of a comedy than it actually looks. smh.

There is no democracy in Nairaland, Nairaland is dictatorial!!!!!!!!!!! |
More than one language can be learnt simultaneously, so it is very proper to raise children with English but my MT must also be acquired along the way. |

Journalist: The quarter finals pairings are out and you have been paired to play against Roman Abramovich FC, what is the feeling like? Dapmose fc: You see, it is just another game. Though he is up there, but it's a game of eleven against eleven. We will watch closely from our ends, we know the tactics to employ to get just the right result. We are not intimidated by their achievement, we are just going to play our hearts out and approach the game as it comes. Journalist: You sound so confident...? Dapmose fc: We have always been confident. Journalist: Are you sure of victory? Dapmose: We have just one goal, and that is to make it to the final. We will see what happens thereafter. Thank you. ![]() |

NYRM: Nigerian Youths wake up, We have no other country except Nigeria, We have been suffering in silence while our Leaders put our future in their bank accounts. How can we remain like this? How can a youth go to school and suffered to graduate at the end no job. You are almost 40 and still your future is as bleak as a dark room. Did your parents send you to school to sit at home because our Government have failed us. Let us come out one day and say No. We must not remain like this, we cannot all travel abroad to find a better life, our better life is here in our country. We have the money, oil and resources but only a selected few have continue to suck it dry why we keep believing God for a change, wake up now I challenge you. We need 500,000 youths in each of the 36states to challenge the Government. We say NO, we will destroy this country and rebuild it afresh, we will Kill those who stand on our way as they are consideredthe enemy. A man cannot have billions of naira while millions of youths roam the streets every day looking for daily bread. Our young men must not all be kidnappers, our young girls must not all be prostitutes. Get Ready I tell you. The time has come for us to react, the only way our Government listens is violence, they have shown it to the Niger delta militantsand nowthey are planning to show it to the boko haram..whereas a simple gesture of N20,000 per monthto the unemployed was rejected and you pay militants N75,000 per month. How much do they pay as minimum wage? How much do they pay to elected officers, we are going to revolt. Nigeria will burn to berebuilt again like Libya, Iraq, Egypt and Tunisia...pleas e spread this message unless you want todie in poverty in a country where God has destined all of us to be happy and prosperous...!! ! Pls send this msg to all ur contact cos anytin can happen o!!! The time is right for us all to say no bad governance who take the youths for granted!Don't spoil the fun here, go open a new thread. |

Silly Posts are making it to the front page at the expense of thought provoking posts like this one. I only hope this forum will not end up in the world of mediocrity. It is irrational for any African to think that ritual money does not exist. it is a fact that cannot be hidden. |
Many people get this wrong, and it leaves much to ponder. Nigeria being a multi-lingual state is often stuck between what a first language is and what it is not. I have seen many people argued that English is their first language, while their native language is regarded as second. Please note that both First Language and Mother Tongue can be used interchangeably. Mother tongue and first language would refer to the language acquired as a child and which you are most fluent in. In a State that is as complex as Nigeria, would it be right to consider your ethnic language a second language even when you have a full grasp of it? I have seen Nigerians argue that their ethnic language is their second while English remains the first, though I am not too comfortable with this. I want us to know that it is also possible to acquire more than one language as MT or FL. It is hard to think really considering that these languages are learnt side by side and often acquired at the same time. Myself for instance, I speak both English and Yoruba and I can say I am fluent in both with English having a slight edge. Both are acquired same time through several means but if I were asked to state my FL, I would state both because of my level of proficiency in both. Nairalanders, let's trash this out, would you consider your native/ethnic language your first language or second? Remember that English remains one of the official languages in Nigeria and also a unifying language. ![]() |
